The next day we head off from Windon to the capital city of Iranda. Along the way i tried to sharpen the edge of the knife using the tools i bought from the marketplace but material the knife was made out off was too hard.

Damn, what is this thing made of. I have knowledge of thousands of materials in my memories and i can’t find anything that matches.

Perhaps i should ask my father? He could just order people to find someone who can sharpen this knife. Hehehe the powers of being the daughter of the emperor is so useful.

Some time later, we arrived at the Murgan,the capital city, and it looked absolutely gorgeous. It was different from the feel from everything town and city i had been to. Not only was it three times bigger than windon, it is situated on a hill.

As we enter through the gates of the city, the guards at the gate saluted. The people by the sides of the street stood still to pay respect. Even though, i was at the bottom of the hill, the place where commoners usually stays, i could see that everything was high quality. The roads were paved with concrete. The buildings had metal structural supports and there were many motorised vehicles.

Far away,i could see many tall buildings that reached ten stories. There were some buildings that looked like apartments.

We went up the hill to get to the castle. Along the way i never saw anything that remotely resembled the carrier in terms of technology or looks. Even at the nobel district, there were no vehicles that could hover above the ground like the carrier,everything had wheels.

How come Iranda is so lagging in terms of technological advancement? The only thing that is technologically advance is the thing i am in right now. Dammit, why is the reason for this not in my memory!

I went to the driver room and asked the driver why this is so.

“Answer me this, are there any vehicles like the carrier in the Murgan?” I commanded.

“No your highness, this is the first of it’s kind in Iranda” he answered.

“Do you know why this is so?” I questioned him.

“Yes your highness, the reason for this is that we were just given this carrier for trading mana crystals with Holakur.” he answered.

Holakur, so that’s what the city is called. (Author note, I kinda forgot to name the city where the mc is born,i just realised that call it the city would be confusing,so i added a name for the city here)

I had never known that the city even had a name. I had always called it the city or home. It was always either district one,two,three or the capital. The were no mention of the name of the city in school nor did the Legion ever mentioned it.

Okay, so Iranda traded mana crystals for the carrier to Holakur. So what does this mean? This means that Iranda technology is far different from Holakur. Holakur mainly focus on zero point energy while Iranda culture and society is based on mana crystals.

Shit,he’s looking at me funny. Did i screw up and blow my cover? I need to make him think i’m just testing him.

“ Do you think this is the first time we trade with Holakur,when do you think we found out about them and are there any country other than Iranda and Holakur?” i asked.

“To my knowledge,this is the first time we trade with them,i think we found about them when they came to us and asked for a trade a year ago and we do not know of any other country your highness” he answered.

Ahh, so the Legion found out about them first and initiated contact! Both side agreed on a trade and the princess was sent as a diplomatic ambassador. When the princess arrived, the Legion took her and made me replace her. After that they want me to do my mission and become the empress. The Legion will then have control of Iranda.

From what my memories state, both the Legion and Iranda sent an ambassador. The Legion sent the son of the Prime Minister while Iranda sent the princess. So since i just returned here with the carrier, the prime minister son should be on the way back to Holakur.

Why did the emperor send his precious daughter to such a dangerous area. Did he underestimate the power of the Legion? Doesn’t he know that the legion could just kidnap me or did he just believe that in the power of the guards. I need to investigate this more in the future.

“Your highness, we have reached the castle” the driver said.

Damn i spent too much time internal monologuing,i missed the sights.

And with that i got out of the carrier and got into the castle. The castle looked majestic, Eleven strong, circular towers form a protective barrier all around the castle and are connected by giant, narrow walls made of White obsidian.

Tall blue windows were scattered thinly around the walls in seemingly perfect symmetry, along with crystals which seems to float delicately above the spires of the towers. A vast black metal gate with a wooden draw bridge was the path to entering this holy ground. The gate was similar in design to the Holakur capital gates.

As i entered the castle I could feel that the mana density in the air was a few times higher than Holakur.

I knew from the my memory that during this time of day, the emperor would most likely be in the throne room. Thus i headed for it. When i reached the throne room door, i heard something through the door with my heightened senses. I motioned the palace guards to not open the door yet.

“Your majesty please, you should change your title to King, there is no point in you being an emperor if you only rule one country.”

“Charles, I need to be different, I can’t just be called a king,i must be called an emperor. Look at this.”

With that i suddenly felt a pressure, an overpowering bloodlust emanated from beyond the palace door.

That’s spirit energy!

“This power is absolute, this power is a gift from god, there is no way i can just be called a king. No, I must be called Emperor! My family are the only one who have this power. No one else has it. This must mean that my family is special, a special family can’t just be called normally,it’s need to defy the norm. Thus I must be called emperor to defy the norm, i will defy language. Muhahahaha”

Wow egotistical much. Just because u have spirit energy, doesn’t mean you can just screw around with the language. Emperor means you rule multiple countries, a king only rule one country. This means you are a fucking king not emperor!

What more,your family isn’t only one who has spirit energy. There are others who has it too!

“Is that the really the reason you want to be called emperor, if it is, that’s a very stupid reason.”

“Hahaha, looks like i can’t fool you Charles,can I. the real reason is that I just like the word emperor more than king. Hahaha.”

“Okay nevermind,that’s even stupider.

Okay looks like it’s time for me to go in.

I must act like his beloved daughter. I already know what to do from my memories. I can do this!

And with that i opened the door and charged towards my father.

“Daddyyy…!!”

I ran towards him and hugged him. The guy he was talking to left after i entered.

Yuck! Never would i have thought in a million year that one day i would be running towards a guy screaming daddy.

“Pumpkin, you’re home!” he screamed as he hugged me tightly.

And why the fuck is he so strong, i can feel my bones cranking!

“Ah sorry pumpkin, i used too much strength.” he said.

“So how was the trip, pumpkin, tell me all about it.” he said.

“It was so different, their city is divided into four sections. One with a lot of poor peasants, one with a lot of commoners, one with a lot of rich people and one with a lot of nobles and elites. Their city is like a circle, each section in a ring while the nobles lived in the center” I replied.

“ Did they try to do anything to you? If they dare touch a single hair on you, i will mobilize the troops and teach them a good lesson.” He said.

“Can’t you see I’m fine daddy? They would never dare to do anything to me. If not, you will take care of them,right daddy? ” I lied.

It’s nice of you to care so much about your daughter, but your precious daughter should already be dead by now. Nice job you did there buddy, you just sent your daughter to her death.

If you never sent your daughter as the ambassador,none of this would have ever happened. Your daughter would be alive and i would still be living as Tate!

I berated him in my mind as i put on an innocent smile.

“ Of course i will take care of them pumpkin, They think with just their fancy toys they can be a threat to us,hmmp preposterous, they don't even know how to use magic properly.” He said.

I wonder if an Ion energy cannon could do anything to that magic shield they had around the whole country.

I should probably use this chance to get rid of the guards,

“Daddy, i don’t like my guards, they are boring, can you please change them?” I asked.

“Pumpkin, not again. This is like the fifth time you are asking me to change your guards. Good guards don’t grow on trees you know.”

“But daddddyyy.., i don’t like them. They are so boring and bad. Change this please.”I said as i gave him the puppy eyes.

“Sure sure pumpkin,anything you want. But this will be the last time,alright? He said.

“ Yay! Thanks daddy, you’re the best!”I said as i hugged him again.

Damn,this is easy. Just ask nicely, put on a sweet face and give him the good old puppy dog eyes. He’s so easy to manipulate. Hehehe.

“Oh daddy, i found this dagger in an magic artifact shop in Windon.” I said as i showed him the dull dagger.

He took the dagger from me and inspected it.

“This dagger.. Pumpkin where did you say you bought it from?” He asked with a shocked expression.

“I found it in an the magic artifact shop in Windon, the blind old man there sold it to me. I think he knows you.” I replied.

“This dagger once belonged to your uncle. He had found it when we was roaming the outlands together. He was always an adventure, he loved to explore and discover new things. So one day he told me he wanted to conquer and explore the outlands. Fool i called him, but i followed him anyway. We traveled the outlands with the clothes on our back and our weapons. We fought various monsters and creatures of the night.While fighting, we fell into a portal and uncovered an ancient ruins. The murals of the walls depicted humans fighting giants.”

“We searched every neck any crany to look for treasure and and a way out but the only treasure we found were a bowl of green liquid and the dagger. That was where we got our powers from. When we drank the liquid, mysterious energy poured into our body and gave us power. I decided to let him have the dagger since he found it. After that adventure, he decided to explore more and left the dagger in the care of his mentor to study and told me to become the king instead. That was the last i saw of him.”

“He once told me that the dagger would react with the power we had inside of us. I also overheard him talking about how he had to supply his spirit energy to make the dagger sharper. Pumpkin,treat this dagger well, it’s the last gift of your uncle” he narrated.

He had a solemn expression after that. I decided to change the subject to lightened the mood and started lying about the good experience i had at Holakur.
