Finally!

The synthesizer is finally working! After months of building, tinkering and rebuilding, it’s finally active. After countless times of it failing to on,finally the systems are all online!

Due to not having a zero point energy generator, i had to substitute the powersource with mana crystals. Because i had changed the powersource, i had to recalibrate all the numbers. However, trying to recalibrate all the numbers just by myself was no easy task. A slight error in any part would cause the whole machine to not work.

I had to change many things in the synthesizer to work. Firstly, the wirings in the synthesizer were changed to mana circuits.Next, I changed all the power supplies to mana crystals. The first two steps were easy, only taking me a weeks. The hard part was changing all the coding in the computer by scratch.

Since I had nothing to reference to, everything was mostly done through guess and check. I had to rely on myself to build it. Although i knew how to code all of the programs in the computer due to me taking a programming module for my degree in electrical engineering, all the numbers in the code had to be changed to fit the change in power supply. And like all programmer knows, writing a program with thousands of lines, it was easy to make a mistake. One mistake was all it took for the synthesizer to not work.

However using my memories, my degree in electrical engineering and from what i learnt in magic artifact crafting class, i had finally achieve it. The synthesizer is now fully operational,i can finally make some unrefined composites to sell. Not only that, i managed to make a smaller version of the usual synthesizer such that it could fit in my room without being conspicuous.

This would have taken me a long time to finish if it weren’t for the help of Mr Tink( magic artifact crafting teacher). At first, i had thought that he was a just a fanatic, but after learning from him for months, i realised that he was really a genius. Even though all of his inventions were a failure, he had many unique and interesting ideas that helped me greatly. He was the teacher i liked the most of all my classes.

For all my classes, after months of hard work, not only have i catch up with the rest of the class, i managed to be ahead of the curriculum for some of them. I’ve managed to improve my elemental affinity to B grade and my mana pool size to A. I have also learnt a few new useful and powerful spells. After learning how long it takes me to kill anything, i went to scour the books and got help from Mrs Emily(Wind element teacher). She taught me a very offensive wind spell called, piercing spear.

For weaving runic formations, i have vastly improved from when i first started. I could now easily weave a 50 line runic formation in a few minutes. In terms of combat capabilities, aftering learning piercing spear and improving my mana pool, i was now ranked 5th in class. I was only behind Vivian, a girl with lava attribute, a boy with poison attribute and a boy with crystal attribute.

First place was obviously Vivian. When i had found out what her scores were, I had almost cursed out loud. She had S grade for element affinity and Mana pool, A for mana usage and her combat skills. She said that her combat skills could have been higher if the examiner had tested her. During her test, when the examiner had found out that her element was death, he didn’t want to fight her and just gave her A instead.

As for Ciri’s, her attribute was water. She had A grade for everything except for combat which was a C grade. Water element like few other elements was not offensive. It had very little combat potential until the user reached a high rank. Only when Ciri grow older and more powerful, would she be able to use some of the strong mana intensive offensive spells. Moreover, like light,life and plant, water element has the ability to moderately heal injuries. However, water element healing spells are not able to heal major wounds like light and life element spells.

As for the relationship with Ciri and Vivian, i can say that it has greatly improved. For the first few days after they’ve met, they were very awkward with each other. However, after spending some time together, mostly due to me forcing them, they grown on each other. Now we are all very good friends. Everyday we would eat breakfast, lunch and dinner together. Ciri even made us go shopping. She had kept complaining about how me and Vivian were wearing plain and uncute clothes.

I was always wearing shorts or jeans while Vivian was always wearing dark clothing whenever we went out on the weekends. I don't know how she did it, but she had managed to convince Vivian to get new clothes. After that, both of them forced me to follow them. Now my closet had dozens of skirts and dresses again. Somehow when we were shopping, it wasn’t Ciri who tried to make me model, it was Vivian instead.

At least with Ciri interference, Vivian isn’t as gloomy as before. Criri cheerful attitude must have had rubbed off on her. Vivian became more friendly with us and stopped being so detached. She also became more intimate, she even would hug me strongly sometimes. Whenever she hug me, she would always blush. I think that just was how she showed her feelings. She’s very shy.

However, i didn’t complain. Why would i? Whenever she hug me, her body would pressed into me, her boobs squishing into mine. Sometimes she would accidentally touch me in inappropriate places whenever she hug me, making me so wet.

I have also taken the role of their teacher. I taught both of them advance levels of math, language,environment studies and history. Vivian had no trouble learning about advance subjects, while Ciri took some time. However, I can safely say that for our end year exams which is in a week, that all of us would top our class.

For me to be their teacher, i had to lie to them. When they asked me how i was so smart and already know so much, i had to lie that my father was a scholar and that he taught me all of this. They believe me fully, they had no reason to doubt me.

Life was quite fun in school. I had many things going for me. Not only do i have friends, i’m also a few steps closer to my goals. Now that i finished making the synthesizer, it won’t be long, till i finish the printer. This will allow me to create composite materials and allow me to make magical artifacts. I just need to figure out how to build the printer such that it could also make runic formations.

To join the adventure guild, i just need to wait for 1 more year. The minimum age needed to join the guild is to be 15 years old. My 14th ‘Anna birthday’ is in a week. Due to me taking adventuring studies and study of spirit beasts, i have acquired a plethora of knowledge and skills needed to succeed. It is very common for graduates of this academy to do very well in any of the guilds.

To join the mage guild, i would have to wait till i’m a third year student. When students reached third year, we will have a chance to apply for a selection to join the guild. In the selection, they would be looking for the strongest and most intellectual mage. The headmaster would be personally holding the selection, meaning that would be my chance to meet him.

So this means, I’ll just need wait patiently.

One good thing about being friends with Vivian is that she scares all the boys who tries to court me away. Whenever a guy walk towards or tries to talk to me, Vivian would release her death aura and glare angrily at him. He would immediately start running away. Vivian was very protective of me from guys. Though i don’t know why she is so protective of me from guys, I’m glad that i have such a good friend who cares about me.

The only problem I have in this academy is Mr Chad(History teacher). He would always pick on me or Vivian in class. I don’t even know why he got a grudge against us. Nevertheless, me and Vivian had already planned our revenge. Well, mostly me, Vivan was too timid and scared to try anything. She even tried to deter me from taking revenge, saying that it was wrong.

Thus i had to do most of the planning. We had been observing him for awhile now, try to find some dirt on him that we can exploit.

So far, we gotten nothing yet. The only thing we never check is his office which he always locks. The office had detection wards and alarm ward on it. If someone tries to enter without the key, it would go off. The only way to get into there was to steal his key.

Tomorrow would be the start of our operation to steal his key and enter his office.

However, first i need to earn some points. Now that i had completed my synthesizer, i could finally sell unrefined composites.

I started by keying in numbers to the keyboard of the synthesizer, stating the size, weight, type and compositions. I didn’t want to make some of the high end composites yet as i did not know how it would affect the economy if i introduce it into the market. Thus i only made about 5kg worth of unrefined composites.

After storing it in a bag, i took off from my dorm room to head to the crafting guild. I had the best chance of finding someone who would want to buy this in the crafting guild. It was a saturday, thus i had a lot of free time.

When i arrived at the crafting guild, i was greeted by a female receptionist. She looked to be about 20 year old.

“Good Morning miss, how may i help you?” She greeted.

“Ermm… I have some material that i need help identifying,” I said “ I’m not sure what this material is, it is something i have never seen before and i was hoping that someone in this guild could be of help.”

“Oh sure thing hun, let me check for you, i’m trained in identifying many types of material,” she said as she took out a magic artifact. It looked like a magnifying glass but with crystals instead of glass. On the crystal, it showed many lines of text.

“That’s odd, i can’t seem to identify it,” she said with a puzzled expression “Wait a moment by the chairs over there, i’ll go look for Master Shen.”

After she left the desk and entered the back room, i went and sat on the chairs. The guild reception area was quite large and crowded.

As i was sitting down, i could feel many people eyeing me. I had already gotten used to the stares. Everytime, me,Ciri and Vivian went out of the academy, there would always be people eyeing us or people trying to talk to us. Usually, Vivian would scared them off with her aura but right now I was alone.

“Hi there, what’s a girl like you doing in a place like this,” a guy came up to me and said. He looked about 17 years old. He had blond hair and the deposition of a noble.

It was quite common for there to be guys who tries to flirt with me, hoping for a chance. Even though i was technically 13, due to my mature looks, i looked closer to 15. During the last few months, my body had grown more womanly. I did not know how the Legion did it, but my body felt so much like a girl. I could not sense any signs of surgeries done to me. It felt as if i was born a girl.

My boobs had grow bigger and my hips got wider. However, i was still only 164cm tall.

“I’m waiting for Master Shen.” I replied. Normally, i would try to play nice but today i didn’t want to spoil my mood by talking to him. Hearing the receptionist talk about master Shen, i had guess that he was someone important. Thus i decided to use him to get rid of this guy.

“Old Master Shen?” The guy said “Oh what a coincidence, i looking for him too.”

“ That means we can go see him together,” he cheered.

And now my mood is gone.

“I’m Garin Biwar, nice to meet you, what’s your lovely name?” he asked.
