I woke up feeling sleepy.

Was it all a dream?

I looked around to see where i am.

I was in my room.

I was lying on my bed.

As i look to my left, i saw her.

“Cass!?” i asked in shock “Cass,is that really you?”

She look at me with a puzzled face before rushing forward and hugging me tightly.

“Tate, It’s so good to see you again. It’s so great that you not under mind control. 

I’m so sorry Tate, i was too slow, I couldn’t save u in time” she cried while i stare at her confused.

“Whats going on Cass?”I asked.

“If only i was faster,i could have save you from this fate,I’m so sorry Tate, I’m so sorry” she cried onto my shoulder.

“It’s alright Cass, I’m okay”i soothe her as i rub her back.

She let go of me and stared into my eyes. Her makeup ruined by her crying.

“It’s okay now cass,can you tell me whats going on and why you attacked me?”I asked, confused.

She took a deep breath and said “You should be pretty confused right now. I understand, who wouldn’t be, after all that has happened.  I should start with the reason for my disappearance.

It all started a year before i disappeared, i had met an enforcer named Luke while at work. He was a senior enforcer and he was quite handsome. We got along quite well pretty quickly. We flirted and had many dates and soon, i fell in love with him.

But one day, he suddenly threw a bomb on me, he told me he loved me but he can’t be together with me yet, not after everything he had done. I pressed him for what was going on but all he said was that he would correct his wrongs and left.

After that he disappeared.No matter how hard i tried, I couldn’t contact him at all.He was not at his house anymore. He had just disappeared. I searched for him every where, but i couldn’t find him.

A few days later, i found out that Luke had been in a accident and that he had died. I was so devastated and confused by what happened. The whole situation felt weird with his death and his last words but there was nothing i could do. I tried contacting authorities on more information on what happened but they stayed quiet.

A few days after I received the news, i received a message telling me that if i wanted to know more about Luke death, i should meet them at an appointed location. I immediately accepted, i knew that there was something wrong with Luke untimely death and wanted to know more about what happened.

When i met them, they told me they were The Resistance, the terrorist group. They stated that their purpose was to overthrow the Legion and free us from their oppression. I was almost about to call and report them these outlanders immediately when they told me that Luke was killed by the Legion. They said they will show me the truth, the truth about the Legion.

They took out a file containing the things the Legion had done and showed it to me. The file showed the truth to me. It contained many vile and evil things the Legion had done for the sake of their power. The Legion did many horrible things such as brainwashing and spreading propaganda to the masses to serve the Legion only, they did many horrible experiments on human test subjects and they lied about there being nothing outside the great walls. They hid the truth about life outside the walls. They didn’t want any outside interference disrupting their power. The Resistance told me the Legion was even hiding more.

I found out that the resistance were not an outlander terrorist group at all and that the Legion had lied to us. The resistance were just normal members of our society who found out the truth and wanted freedom. The legion had spread to the masses that the resistance were made up of beasts from the outlands masquerading as humans and bombing place for maniacal purposes.

They told me about how Luke worked with the Legion to do some of these things and that he was depressed about the bad things he had done. After falling in love with me, luke wanted to rebel and right his wrongs by leaving the Legion and telling the world about what they done. The Legion didn’t like that, so they killed him and faked his death as an accident to silence him.

After i learnt the truth, they said they wanted to recruit me. They wanted me to join them in the resistance against the Legion as they knew i could be trusted as my love for Luke would be my motivation to fight against the Legion. It was from then that i left you, I left you a message hoping you won’t look for me. I didn’t want you to be involved in these dangerous activities.

I was always looking out for you,even though i wasn’t there with you. But one day, you were called by headquarters of the Legion and never came back. I tried to find out what was going on and what happened to you but i was too late. We couldn’t raid the headquarters as it too heavily fortified. I found out that they were going to turn you into a woman and mind control you.

But no matter what i do,i couldn't do anything to save you. The headquarters is one of the places where the resistance have no foothold over. So the only thing we could do was wait until you were out of headquarters to rescure you. 

After we were notified that you left the capital, I hurried to get to you. We wait until it was night to come in and knocked everyone out. We wanted to knocked you out and help you but who would've thought that you still reconised me. So right now we will stay at this house and check up on your mental state instead of going back to base.” Cass narrated as she cried.

That was a lot to take in.

The lies by the Legion.

This was so confusing, i didn’t know what to do.

“I have a question.How do you still have control of your body Tate, i was sure from the files that they had control over you, i had even attacked you to take you back and get you out of the mind control?”Cass asked me.

“Oh, I don’t really have control of my body, the best i can do is control my body for 4 hours a day. Right now i can only have control for half an hour left, before i lose control?”I answered.

“So happens now?” I asked.

“If it were up to me, i would bring you to the Resistance and turn you back to normal but my senior wants to talk to you before they make a decision.” Cass replied.

As if on que, a man walk into my room. He was wearing everyday clothes and had looked average, very easy to miss. If i walk pass him on the road,i would not have even notice him.

“Ahh, it’s nice to meet you Tate, your sister talk about you a lot, how are you?” he greeted.

“Ermm,i fine?”I answered.

“Good, now let’s get to business. Do you want to join the resistance?” he asked bluntly.

“Yes, i do”I replied.

“Do you wish to get revenge on them for what they did to you?”he asked again.

“Yes, of course”I said resolutely.

“Good, then i have a proposal for you. I want you to start work immediately..” He said.

“Yes i will start immediately, I want to have my revenge as fast a possible ”I interrupted happily.

“Not so fast, yes i want you to start work immediately but i want you to work for me as Princess Anna, not Tate.” He said.

“Huh?”I asked confused.

“What the resistance need right now is not an another man who can do normal jobs, what we need is a person who can do special jobs. The special job we have is for princess Anna, not Tate. We need you to continue masquerading as the princess and get the aid of Iranda” he said.

“If you decline, nothing will happen to you,we will try and find a way to turn you back into a man and but if we can't, we will give you a new identity as a girl. If you accept, you will have a leading role in overthrowing the Legion and personally get your revenge.Do you think you can do this?” He asked.

“Tate, you don’t have to do this,just go back to who you were. Let me fight the Legion, just stay safe.If you do this, you will have to stay disguised as Princess Anna for many years. It would be years until you will be back here. Do you really want to do this?”Cass asked me worriedly.

I stared at them in deep thought.

On one hand,i really want to turn back into a guy. If i decline his invitation, they say they will work hard to find a way to turn me back.Every second i spend as a girl, i lose more of my masculinity. The shame of wearing all the pretty things and make up burns me. The way it feels so natural doing all the girly things haunts me. The way my crotch feels was an ever so reminder of my lack of masculinity.

Heck, I would even feel fine and happy doing all the girly things. Even in my real mind,i started thinking like a girl. I feel that the longer i stay like this,i harder it would be to turn back. If i take the offer, i will have to act like a girl, never ever having the chance to turn back into a guy.

Do i really want to do this?

On the other hand, i really want to get my revenge. I want the Legion to burn for what they did to me even if it means being a girl. If i do not act as the princess and get the aid of Iranda, It would be harder for the Resistance to fight and overthrow the Legion. I would even be one of the main reason for the fall of the Legion. This would be the thing which would make me stand out.

I had always been afraid of standing out, i was always the shy and cowardly type. I would like to stay in the background and not be noticed even if i was doing well. This was the reason, i declined the prestigious offers from big companies to work for them.

I feared that if i stood out too much, i would be a target of major bullying from those working in the big companies like i was in school for skipping grades. I would be the target of envy due to being 17 year old and already having such a high paying job. I was scared that if i stood out too much, bad things would happen.

Though i liked to stay in the background, i always had an inkling of wanting to be noticed and commended for the things i did. I wanted to be recognised for my achievements and have the strength to walk forward instead of being in the shadows.

Thus i made up my mind.

“I wish to join the resistance as Princess Anna” I answered resolutely as I look into their eyes.
