“It’s not full…but it’s enough for now.”
During his fight, Vlad tried to avoid using his skills so he could preserve his BP to where he could max it out once more. However, that proved difficult while facing the goblins. Although they were weak, they still had a bit of experience fighting, and kept their distance and only attacked when his back was turned. Because of that, he used [Blood Strike] two times to severely wound the majority of them, wasting twenty blood points in the process.
Thankfully, there was enough blood for Vlad for him to at least make up for the waste and then some. Though, he needed to be careful. He didn’t have a lot of blood points to spare when using [Blood Strike]. It took ten BP to use the skill, and with his current amount, he could only do so twelve times. And the lower his BP gets, the hungrier he becomes as well.
Vlad irritably scratched his head, annoyed by how difficult it was to maintain his BP. Plus, it’d deplete on its own as time passed by, making Vlad forced to constantly consume blood to keep it from getting too low for his own good. He wasn’t sure what would happen if his Blood Point were to hit zero, but he also didn’t and never wanted to find out.
The other problem he was facing was his level. Now that he was level 3, it was going to be six hundred experience points for him to reach level 4. From what he had noticed, Level 2 monsters provided 45 XP while Level 3 monsters gave 90. Doing some math, it would take six more level 2 monsters to hit level 4 and three more level 3 monsters to do it. Hopefully, he’d be able to run into some and more to gain more levels.
For now, though, he should probably focus on spending his SP on his attributes. The question was which one should he invest in.
Usually, with classes, you only have to invest in stats that they heavily rely on, like Mages relying more on Magic and maybe Soul or Warriors relying on Strength and Endurance. However, Vlad’s Blood Hunter class was a bit more versatile, in which all of his attributes were important for it.
At first, Vlad thought about just putting in two points for each one. He had enough to do this, so why not? But evenly dividing his stats like this will also cripple him in the long run. When you invested in one or two of your stats and those only, you’d be a lot stronger in those fields. More strength stats meant you were stronger, and more Endurance stats meant you were more durable, and so on. But in Vlad’s case, if he evenly distributed his points, he wouldn’t be as powerful. If anything, by the time he got to level ten, he’d be weaker than others who were at that same level.
So, going the Even Route was not a good idea. This brought him to his next question; what points should he focus on?
As a Vampire, magic, his senses, and speed would be pretty important. He had spells he could use and Vampires were heavily reliant on their senses. Plus, their fast and light on their feet, making them very difficult to hit. So, focusing on Magic Power, Agility, and Senses should be his priority. However, if he did that, he’d be weaker in terms of Strength and Endurance. If he couldn’t use his spear or spells, he would have to resort to his fists, but his Strength stat wouldn’t be as high as the others, so he wouldn’t be able to perform enough damage on his opponent. Then there was his endurance which acted as his defense. The higher his Endurance Stat, the stronger a hit he could take.
In the end, he needed all of his stats. So, for now…he should probably invest in what he really needed at the moment and work his way there. Thankfully, he had something in mind for the moment.

[Five Points has been distributed to Magic!]
[Three points has been distributed to Agility!]
[Two Points has been distributed to Senses!]
“This will do for now,” He muttered, feeling a bit satisfied with his choices.
At the moment, his main focus was Speed, Magic, and Senses. Moving fast, having stronger magic spells, and being physically stronger would be his priority at the moment. He could work on his Endurance and Strength when he felt that he needed them more. With his current stats, he should be fine. At least for now.
Once his stats were distributed, Vlad walked away from the goblin corpses and proceeded with his mission, which was to find his family. Since his three friends were the closest, he should go to them first. Vlad wanted to go find his sister immediately, but she was too far at the moment. Hopefully, once he reunited with his friends, they could join him to locate his sister. That way, they could all be together for when the Blood Moon Event finally happened.
Vlad once again roamed the streets of Atlanta, this time, following the distance between him and his friends. Since his friends were a few miles away, it was going to take him a moment to understand which direction he needed to travel. Hopefully, he only had to do this once so he could pick up the pace. While walking, he continued to examine his status, making sure that he understood everything about it and himself.
Aside from his stats, BP, Species, and Class, he was a little curious about his skill. More specifically, the ranking of his skills. The system told him that he could increase his skill ranking by using them a lot. But how much was that?
Only time will tell in terms of that, though he couldn’t be careless in using it since his skills cost Blood Points. And as much as Vlad found the taste of blood delicious…he was starting to grow sick of goblin blood. Perhaps he should start targeting a new species to broaden his palate. Though, if he did, what kind of monster should he hunt for this time?
Now that this was floating around in his mind, a sudden yet grim thought occurred. What does human blood taste like? It was the kind of question that caused the fledgling vampire to freeze in place, curious as to what the answer could be.
Would it taste better than goblin blood? Maybe better than any monster blood in the world? Although he didn’t know the answer, for some strange yet ominous reason, he felt the urge to test the theory out. That was until he smacked his face, snapping himself out of that deep and disturbing thought.
“Let’s just focus on consuming monster blood,” He muttered to himself, attempting to maintain a small amount of self-control over his instincts.
That kind of train of thought was a lot more frightening than Vlad anticipated. The way he felt so eager to try out human blood as if the thought of it was anything but weird and rather natural. Vlad gently closed and opened his fist while taking a couple of breaths to calm himself down. Once he was calmer, he reverted his focus back to the mission and resumed walking.
It wasn’t until he walked a couple more blocks down a street that he slowly became familiar with the area. He scanned the perimeter and quickly spotted some familiar buildings near him like the Sub Sandwich shop to his right along with a clothing store department placed right next to it. When he noticed them, his eyes whipped over to a building a block or so ahead of him, briefly catching what appeared to be a hospital sign. A very familiar one at that.
As if driven by some unknown force, Vlad went from a walk to a sprint, hastily making his way toward the familiar hospital. It only took a few moments thanks to his enhanced speed for him to reach the spot and his eyes bore witness to the hospital building.
It was a large, complex, four to five-story building with a giant red neon First Aid light planted on the wall. In front of the building was a massive parking lot with a bunch of cars packed inside it. However, the majority of the vehicles packed there were either flipped over and on fire, torn to pieces, or even crushed. Instead of looking like a regular parking lot, it resembled more of a junkyard for cars.
As for the hospital building in front of the lot, Vlad knew this place very well. It was the hospital where his sister worked at. The very place she was when the whole world went to hell.
Out of curiosity, the vampire glanced at the panel that showed the location of his friends and sister, praying that for some unknown reason, Mina was at this very hospital. Only for him to frown that her distance was still the same as before. Vlad irritably clicked his tongue before putting the panel away, turning his attention back to the hospital building.
Although it was a long shot, he did hope that his sister was here. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. He was then reminded that after you picked a class, you were randomly teleported somewhere else and not the same place you were before getting taken. So, there was an even less chance of Mina being here due to the fact she likely wasn’t redirected back to the hospital but somewhere else.
This sudden reminder only soured Vlad’s mood more before he came up with an idea. Since this was a hospital, there were likely supplies inside that he could take with him. Whether it was for himself or maybe his friends and sister, he’d cross that bridge when he got there. But at the moment, this hospital likely had something he could make use of in the future.
With a new sense of determination, Vlad began his trek over to the hospital entrance, hoping to find something that would aid him later on. It was time to check in at the hospital.
