A few months have gone by and I massacred the “dumb males” group a few times. I have also massacred the “dumb females” group a few times, since even as rewards for the “less dumb” males they seem to be keeping the group behind.

But now I believe I can’t do it freely anymore.

That’s because the “smart males” and “top males” groups have begun to show clear signs of stress once I massacre the dumbest males and some of the dumb females.

Recently they have even begun to select the less able of the hunting groups and present to me dead as sacrifice.

Once a month or something they gang on a couple or so of the slowest of the group and beat them to death. Them they present the carcasses to me.

Had the reproduction rates been slower and I would have stopped it, but this shows remarkable growth.

Besides, I have seen the smarter and top females carrying for their own children and giving less care for the children of other females.

Some of the top males have also noticed that some of the children are theirs, while others seem not to be.

The logical conclusion is that, in a few months, they will begin to naturally compete for the top females - as soon as they notice that the top female’s sons are less likely to be dumb.

The females as well, I suspect, will start competing for the top males, and maybe even learn seduction.

I shall be careful not to let all of the top females to converge into only the General Class males, since that would bring about a catastrophic reduction of the gene pool’s variability, but I believe that to be nearly impossible so far.

They are just too far away from forming families for this kind of behavior to show. Besides, the top males have limited stamina, so the females will probably be trimmed at its side due to being unable to conceive.

Conception, by its side, has been an interesting thing.

I haven’t trimmed the sterile females from the group, since many of them form a bunch of good warriors which don’t have the regular female’s problems with periods and advanced pregnancy. I desire to incentive this group’s ascension as they can become rather good teachers for the younger generation - combining the motherly closeness of females to children and their own predisposition to war.

Still, as many of the sterile females have been dumb females’ due to repetitive incest and retardation, there has been some prejudice against them, leading to some good warriors being given as sacrifice just because of sterility.

This has prompted me to act, so I have started to personally give names to some of the smart, but infertile, females.

Those named by me receive special treatment in the group, since they have been “touched” by my words. I expect for the sterility-beat-ups to be reduced and maybe… maybe in the future the Top Males and Top Females may even realize incest is the cause for much of the retardation they have begun to hate.

As massacring the dumb males and dumb females’ groups has become too stressful for the smartest in the group, I have begun to employ a new tactic, by creating the idea of “cannon fodder”.

 I started to bring the Smart and Top groups of males with me, but also the dumb males.

Then, I give an “attack” order and, right after, a “stay” order.

The “stay” order has a totally different phonetic compared to the usual yells, so only the Smart and Top males’ groups have been able to understand it’s meaning so far.

The dumb males keep attacking and eventually all, or almost all, die while also tiring the beast we are hunting.

The Smart group goes after that, since I have given a collective name to them all - a simple yell which they, as the Smart group, can already recognize as being “them”.

I order them to retreat after a while, so not many die. Then it’s the time for the Top group, which finishes the beast and eats right after I have had my share.

Such unfair system has motivated the Smart group to train even harder, and they have begun to evolve into middle class hard workers. A good chunk of them has also began to substitute some of the “Top” males group, as the standards to be part of the group have increased, so these males have become wary and started to train as well.

Soon I shall introduce a new weapon for them.

Since the Top group already master the use of the knife, blowpipe, mace and spear, I should next introduce an improved weapon - the long spear.

I suppose after that I can introduce improved stone knives, and finally, the bow.

In the meantime, I shall introduce the sewing needle, the fishing rod and the use of wearing clothes as well.

To tell the truth, the Top females have seen me skinning some game on my own, as well as racking furs, as I have shown them intentionally, but very, very few have tried doing that on their own.

Once I start selecting those males and females who are proficient on those arts to form the new rank of Top Males, those above General Class, I suppose new competition shall arise.

And since those are tools which require mastering, instead of just smarts, to use, I expect for the results to be very satisfactory.
