Chapter 39: Horse (3)
One of the three ultimate techniques of the SilverLight Family, the Imaginary Art: Yin Blade. A powerful weapon made from precise control of the subconscious of the user.
Well, not really. There are limits to imaginary art, and the more you try to exert that, the more your mind goes insane. This is more about genetic
Every single Supreme holder could influence their gene to a certain degree, and that is true for SilverLight, who has four Supreme ancestors throughout the history of their family.
So from those dormant genes, the SilverLight created three factions inside the family: Yin for the weapon users, Yang for mages, and Wuji for the martial artists.
And now in Kang SilverLight's right hand was the fruit of hundreds of years of researching and training, the weapon that could split hell in half and freeze even the void itself.
Something that Kang can’t use right now for Kang's brain is still too weak to conjure the true Yin Blade.
And just a sheath alone is enough to produce such frightening energy. Even I am having a hard time containing this blade.
“Let's see if this is enough to kill that horse.”
CRACK
The ice statue breaks down, and Horse immediately lunges forward, swinging SilverLight with the giant dark wooden axe that is two times bigger than before.
“NEIGH”
SLASH
Unlike the sound of two weapons clashing against each other, the axe's head fell to the floor and began to freeze. The same is true for the handle, as ice from the tip spread like wildfire and froze all the way to Horse’s arm.
“SHIT”
Before the ice could spread, Horse bit off his shoulder and severed his arm. Breathing heavily, Horse felt a sense of terror not at Kang but at that blade.
“IS THAT IMAGINARY ART? HOW-“
SLASH
“You see, I don’t like that sound of yours.”
The place where Kang slashed is none other than his neck but missed as Horse barely dodged the attack. The Yin Blade might be powerful, but it is too much of a burden in Kang’s mind and body. His movement becomes slower, and his mind is getting heavier.
“Huh?”
Horse, realizing this, ignored the fact that Kang could use imaginary art and took out a red paper before channeling all of his remaining energy; he screamed blissfully.
“HEL HORSE”
The red paper burned, and his demonic energy was released to the fullest, creating a fearsome, shadowy horse with craziness in its eyes while baring its teeth and smiling.
From the horse's feet was black smoke that rushed Kang, surrounding him.
CRACK CRACK
Even CursedRust can’t bear such madness as the mist of the bronze flower faded away and the flower itself broke down into tiny pieces. Then the madness seeped into Kang's mind; he could hear multiple screams of the innocents Horse had killed.
With each scream, a part of his sanity seemingly chipped off. He chewed his lips to the point where they were about to get ripped off and began attacking once again.
“NOW BECOME A MINDLESS SLAVE FOR ME—”
SLASH
Kang, even in such condition, swung his sword lightly into the air, creating a thin sword energy slash flying in the direction of Horse and to his chest.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
“NEIGH”
Another wound was inflicted on Horse, but he suppressed it with mana, stopping his body from freezing up even further.
“LET'S SEE WHO WILL FALL FIRST, YOU OR ME.”
“ARGH”
Kang groaned for the first time. His eyes ignited a dark flame, and a vein popped up on his head. The Yin Blade in Kang’s hand began to lose its color and grow more and more transparent.
Meanwhile, Horse's body was getting better as he suppressed the ice solely using his demonic energy. With that, he managed to get rid of the ice completely and regrew his arm.
“HAHAHAHAHA”
And then the inevitable happens: the Yin Blade disperses, and Kang falls with his face to the ice floor.
“DO YOU SEE? WEEKLINGS LIKE YOU SHOULD STAY THERE.”
The horse jumped up into the air and landed on Kang's back with one leg; the brutal sound of spine shattered in pieces can be heard. He stood there and then clasped his hands together, praying.
“OH DEMON OF STORY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR BLESSING. THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME ANOTHER CHANCE TO SHOW THIS SINNER HIS PLACE.”
Grabbing Kang by the head, Horse licked his lip before sinking his horrendous teeth into Kang’s skull. Blood splattered on Horse’s face as he enjoyed this very moment.
"HAHAHA. TASTY INDEED. THIS TASTE OF FLESH NEVER FAILS TO AMAZE ME.
But something was weird; I thought there was more to him, considering that he was using Imaginary Art. Wait, I never got the chance to see his ability.
Realizing the situation he was in, he unconsciously stepped away from the corpse before looking around. Was he being paranoid?
“So did you have your time?”
“W-“
SLASH SLASH SLASH
Numerous slashes landed on his body as blood spurted out… WAIT THE MINUTE WHAT THE-?
“First simulation ended.”
A cold voice appeared once again; this time Horse realized that he had already returned to his normal form. What the hell is going on?
“WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?”
“Oh, you see, I just want to let you be able to use all of your might.”
His aura remains calm and composed but at the same time shines a silver, deadly light, identical to the blade on his hand right now.
“And see you falling into despair, like right now.”
“HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? YOU'RE JUST A WEAKLING. A WEAKLING FOR ME TO DEVOUR.”
True, even if I returned to how I was a long time ago, I wouldn’t manage to beat Horse, whose mind ability is equivalent to a B-rank. But when I regress, not only my memory but my ability also regresses.
This means that the Boundless-rank ability that helped me survive all the time fighting against that monster returned to me.
And this is my Boundless rank ability. The ability to create several simulations where I could collect information for victory.
“What the fuck is this cube?”
Beelzebub, who was puzzled, gazed upon the blue cube that was created out of nowhere and trapped both of them.
“But I guess x1 isn’t enough to defeat you, sadly. Let’s just go with the maximum at x3.
“YOU BAST-”
Horse, in all of his life, has never felt such a terror like this, a kid this powerful; could it be a Boundless?
“HA HAHAHAHA YES, WITH YOU, WE MIGHT BE—
“Stop being delusional.”
A slash appeared on Horse’s neck, who was still paranoid, and cut off his head in an instant, killing him in the blink of an eye.
However, Horse returned to normal in the next moment. He shrieked in fright as he grabbed his neck, realizing it was still there.
“Huh?”
“You see, I want you to despair even more, so fight with all of your power for me, will you?”
A sinister smile appeared on Kang’s face, enraging Horse entirely as he’s going all out by summoning Hel Horse.
“FINE THEN, I WILL MAKE SURE YOU REGRET IT.”
*****
Third attempt
“HAHA, YOU SEE, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES, YOUR DEATH WOULD BE AS PATHETIC AS ALWAYS.
Fourth attempt
“KRIEEKKK, YOU JUST GOT LUCKY. THIS TIME, I WILL MAKE SURE—“
Tenth attempt
“NO, I CAN’T—”
Twenty attempts
“How is this possible? How—“
Thirty attempts
“F-Find I give up; I give.”
Forty attempt
“DAMN IT, LET ME OUT OF HERE.”
Ninety-ninth attempt
“K-k”
Horse now grabbed his head as he cried streaks of blood and tears as the trauma from dying multiple times all crashed down on him.
He knelt down, put his head on the floor, and begged.
“P-pleas-please just kill me.”
Kang looked down at Horse before saying
“I would love to make you suffer like all of your victims, but this is as far as I can get, so let's get this over with.”
Horse still had his face plastered into the Earth, breath a sigh of relief, but that relief was short-lived when he heard Kang’s next line.
“Your friend Sheep, Kitsune, and Fox have been killed; the others, Bull, Goat, Owl, Rat, Hound, Mutt, Dog, Lizard, and Spider, will be next. Your boss, Dragon, will also meet you in hell.
With each nickname of the executives that got spoken out, Horse raised his head in disbelief, wondering how this guy had all of this information, but Kang wasn’t finished.
“And the god you love so much, Astaroth, will die pathetically and worthlessly just like your insignificant, scum life.”
“W-WAIT”
“So die in hell in regret and let those you killed gnaw on your guts forever.”
I released the domain, and with one simple movement, I stabbed my sword into his heart, where his mana core was, and began to seep in most of my mana inside it.
“ARGH”
As his body trembles in pain, I rush toward the earth hole and make my way out of this place; my job is done anyway.
Horse's body began to grow like a balloon before it popped.
BOOM
The violent crimson fire exploded out of Horse's body, engulfing everything with its demonic fire, causing the wall to crack and the bunker to begin to shake.
From where Horse's remains were, a red mana core that had been cracked was there, uttering its last line before the bunker collapsed.
“Oh King Behind The Curtain, The Librarian of Hell, Demon Of Stories, A-“
A giant stone debris from the ceiling fell on the mana core, ending the pitiful life of a scum.
