Chapter 35: Swelling
After saying goodbye to Alissa, Vilet took a walk around the park before exiting the academy. The moment she stepped out, it was like all of her emotions were erased from her face, and her eyes grew colder than ever.
She kept on walking before stopping at a garbage dump; the place fit the description that she was told.
From there she sees it, a shiny, alien being that is devoid of Earth, and mana itself was standing among the rubbish.
A white, tall, hulking creature with no arm, four legs with three toes, and a head bearing the shape of a sledgehammer.
From the place where the arm was supposed to be are three spiky thorns that constantly spark black electricity.
“You are here.”
An otherworldly voice came out of a creature, scaring away any living beings nearby, and even Vilet, a dark mage, couldn’t help but feel frightened.
From the glass shards, she can see the front of the creature. One eye that resembles the moon itself, a mouth that is curved down all the way to the side of the neck, similar to a shark.
But the weirdest part is the hole constantly spewing out a dark mist that was placed right in front of its chest. The dark mist lingered in the air for a moment before dissolving, but just looking at the dark mist caused her head to ache so much.
This is one of her father's collections after he became a Supreme holder. A creature from the outside of Earth, across light years. The Pale Abomination, the outer space horror that had been forsaken by the World Will.
“H-hello, father.”
And her father has managed to control such a being, but at what cost?

“W-WHY DID YOU JUST LEAVE ME THERE?”
The door was swung violently to the wall, destroying the frail handle in the process. Despite the commotion, the people in the room didn’t care much.
“Stop destroying the house, you stinky rat.”
“SHUT UP, YOU DAMN MUTT.”
“WHAT DID YOU—“
“Now, now.”
Before the situation escalated, Rango managed to calm them down a little, but Shin was still feeling frustrated.
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
At first, Beelzebub decided that they would group up at the library to plan for their new strategy. So Shin, who arrived there a beat late, was relieved that he was the first to come.
But that relief began to wither as time went on; nobody came. It was after 2 hours that Black arrived to give him the note to come back.
So Shin, now extremely furious, did something that he had never done: he shouted at Beelzebub, who was lying down on the sofa, tapping on his phone like crazy.
“Hey, don’t blame me; Alissa’s conversation was dragged out for too long. They talked at the park, in the cafeteria, and even right outside the dormitory.”
“Hmp, you should be grateful that I at least called you back.”
“YOU YOU”
“Hey now, Shin, my boy, you must be hungry right now, so eat this.”
Passed down a bowl of hot soup to Shin to calm him down, which works; Shin settled down and ate his meal, but his face was still showing anger. Rango tried to spark a conversation to ease the mood.
“So Shin, how was school?”
“Well, besides I got tricked by the teacher, nothing bad happened.”
“Teacher…oh, that guy.”
Remembering a blond face with a giant pink mark on his face, Beelzebub asked Shin curiously,
“Who is he?”
“Hm I only heard the rumor that he is from the Baltuk family. That’s all.”
“Interesting”
Despite saying that, Beelzebub stopped asking and continued to tap on his phone like a madman, making Shin curious.
“What are you doing?”
“Proving something”
“Haizzz”
Rango facepalmed himself and tried to explain to Shin but got cut off by Beelzebub.
“Oh, I should tell you, I and Alissa have been appointed as the assistants of the ritual management of your class, so there is no need for her to hide with Black anymore. But still, keep the dog with you for a few days.
Shin spilled his soup right on Rango’s face. The latter seemed to have gotten used to it and took out a napkin nearby.
“HOW?”
“You see the difference between you and me now, hehehehe.”
“It’s because she is the first dark mage, a girl that the teacher met, and when she heard about the poor condition that Alissa is in, she just straight up appointed her so that Alissa can learn. I swear in my name that if I had not been around, that lady would have adopted my servant.
Rango thought for a moment before realizing who that teacher was.
“I still can’t believe that sulky goth lady would be so generous.”
“What do you mean, sulky'? I find her extremely cheerful and attractive—"
“HO-HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN?”
How can this happen? In order to enter this school, he has to work like a goddamn dog for Day and barely eat anything at all. If not for the fact that he got a scholarship, he wouldn’t even be inside this dormitory and have a meal every day.
Shin, once again, cursed his shitty luck. Why is every single one of those bastards so blessed, and I have to live like a rat… Could it be retribution for what he has done?
“Oh, don’t be so sad; at least you got to a good ability. This damn vessel not only can’t offer shit, but his background is more shittier."
“Oh…”
Shin, feeling somewhat better, scratched his neck and decided to finish his delicious soup to warm his tummy. Come to think of it, Rango was supposed to be a thug, so why are his cooking skills so good?
Rango, who was still cleaning his face, saw the back of Shin’s neck, which was swelling like crazy.
“Why are you making that face?”
“Y-YOUR NECK”
“Huh?”
Shin places his soup down and approaches a mirror to take a look at his neck, and true to Rango’s word, there are multiple tiny red dots on it. Is this the work of the mosquito?
“What is this?”
“Hmm, maybe you got sick.”
"Sick? Do you think he is still a kid?"
Beelzebub took a look at Shin for a moment before squinting his eye. The hand that is moving at lightning speed taps one last time, destroying the phone screen.
He gazed at Shin intensely, causing everyone in the room to feel goosebumps. Beelzebub growled.
“How the hell did you get poisoned, you dumb shit?”
