-Luna’s POV-
"It's good to finally meet you, Miss Luna ‘The Guild Master of The Cuties’." The white haired woman said as she looked thoughtfully at the dome, which was still dark.
“How do you know me? I hadn't even introduced myself yet?" I asked. I knew I was famous but someone of her capabilities knowing my name was not an everyday thing.
"I know because I have seen you quite a few times. You are quite famous, Miss Luna." The white haired woman answered.
"I see. May I ask what your name is?” I tried to sound polite but my voice came out stiff. It was because I was afraid that one wrong word and this woman would have my head. Jim who was standing behind me was having a serious stare down with the blue haired man for some reason.
“No need to be so polite. My name is Lizandra and this here is my butler ‘Vorgrim’.” She said and looked at Vorgrim, who immediately broke away from the staring contest. 'What a strange name her butler has.' I thought to myself.
“Hello Madam, Luna. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.” Vorgrim said and bowed down. A real butler even in this time, it was hard to believe but people had their own choices to make as to what they want to be. So who was I to judge them? I gave Vorgrim a nod and looked back at Lizandra.
“So what is happening right now?” I asked her because she had the answers that everyone would like to know about the situation inside the dome and the fight everyone has witnessed, even though it was just a blur.
“About that, it will be better to hold a press conference but because I consider you a friend. I will tell you Luna.” I was confused as to why she answered like that but everything became clear once she transformed.
I looked at Lizandra as she waved her hand and her appearance changed to someone I was familiar with and someone I considered a close friend.
“Y…you.” I said as she once again changed her appearance back to what it was.
“Yes it’s me. I am sorry that I had to do this but it was necessary.” Lizandra said as she came forward to hug me. I wanted to cry because this was not something that I had expected at all. I knew Lily was something more than she let on to be and I cared for her a lot.
She released me from her hug as the two of us looked at each other. Jim on the other hand was having a baffled expression on his face. He had been in contact with Lily after the destruction of L.A. but seeing that same Lily was someone who was above his league was something he couldn’t believe at all.
“So what’s happening?” I asked once again as the four of us looked at the dome covered in darkness.
“Well, it’s hard to explain. So i’ll make it short and simple for you to understand ‘GUILD MASTER’.” and there she goes using that irritating phrase that led me to chuckle a bit at her.
“The people inside the dome are not of this world. It’s a fact that you have to accept as you’ve already seen what each and everyone is capable of. They shouldn’t have been here but one thing led to another and now we have aliens invading us or more like humans from another world.” That was a lot to process, what she had just said opened so many scenarios that I don’t even know what to do about them “The guy fighting them is my husband.” and this sentence was something that I was totally not expecting from her. The handsome golden haired guy, who for some reason now turned into whatever he was now, was her husband???
She stopped whatever she was saying as she looked at my puppy face, like a fan girl whose heart got broken just now. ‘Hey !! Don’t even try !! He’s Mine !!’ was what her expressions said to me as I looked at her dejectedly.
“Now, I don’t know what he is doing inside that dome but it will come to an end sooner than you think.” Lizandra said and right after she said that, the dome returned to its golden color and we could see inside.
“Wait a minute. Where is L.A. and the forest?” I asked and looked around to see two people standing in the middle of that massive dome, a few kilometers away from us and just after that one of them disappeared. The only one left standing there was Lizandra’s husband. He looked in our direction and moved so fast that I thought he had teleported in front of us.
“Honey, how about you take down the barrier now?” I heard his sweet voice and just as I was about to look at his face, something covered my eyes.
-Liz’s POV-
Reinard moved and appeared in front of us. I quickly covered Luna’s eyes and Vorgrim covered Jim’s eyes just as I told him to before Luna and Jim showed up. Looking at Reinard’s eyes was a dangerous thing for people not connected to me. Those eyes would tempt you to do things that were morally bad and nothing good ever came out of looking at them for a long time.
“Hey !! I want to see your husband. Why are you covering my eyes?” Luna said but I ignored her and kept my hands covering her eyes as I held her body with my other hand from escaping my grasp.
“No can do. I want my Darling back.” I said and looked at the man in front of us. Even though he had the body of my husband, he was not him.
“Awww, I took care of those bastards for you. Can’t you just let me out now? Pretty please?” He said in this coquettish voice that sent a shiver down my spine. ‘Fucking asshole !!’ I cursed inwardly.
“Just shut up and go back.” I commanded and right at that moment, his appearance changed and I heard him cursing out to me “Dammit, Whyyyyy??”
“Honey?” I looked at Reinard who appeared to be confused as to why there was a barrier in front of him. Looking around a bit he seemed to recall where he was and what had happened.
“It happened, right?” He let out a long sigh. I released Luna and teleported inside the barrier with everyone beside me.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
“Yes it did, Hubby.” I went forward and gave him a kiss which he reciprocated. This thing that happened with Reinard was something he hated a lot but there was no cure for it, at least not yet.
Our sweet moment was broken when I heard Luna’s voice coming from behind me. “And there goes the love of my life. Please take care of her. “ She said as she dramatically caught her falling heart.
I did not leave Reinard’s hug but still replied to Luna. “Don’t be so dramatic or Jim here might just kiss you right now.”
“Wha….what are you talking about??” Jim said and just like that Luna started teasing him. The relationship between them had developed a bit more since the L.A. incident and it was heading towards a nice direction. I hope that Jim will have the guts to confess his love to Luna.
“So where’s Ayer now?” I asked Reinard because although it was not him who had done all those things, he still had the memories of what had transpired after the dome went dark.
“Well, I used the Void’s Judgement on him, so he’s probably being torn apart to pieces by now over and over until the Void thinks that he had reflected on his past sins.” Reinard said as he looked at the place that was once a blooming city, then a half destroyed city and now there was nothing there.
“What happened to the generals, the spaceship and his people?” Vorgrim asked. He was the one who wanted to kill those Generals but now that Reinard had already done it, there were only questions on his mind or so he believed.
“His people are alive, in my dimensional space, but they won’t be coming out of there for a long time. His spaceship is also in my dimensional space and his Generals are suffering along with their God.” Hearing that Vorgrim let out a sigh. He still had the chance to kill them.
“So what’s the plan now? You wanted to do a press conference right?” Luna asked after teasing the hell out of Jim who was blushing, probably because what Luna’s said to him.
“Yes, that is what I want to do because the things that are going to happen from now on are beyond what the people could even think of. The spaceship, Ayer and his Generals, was just the start. A whole lot of shit’s about to go down if we don’t prepare for it.” I said in a serious tone because the matter could not be handled lightly at all and hearing me Luna and Jim also went into their Guild Master modes.
-An Hour Later-
The dome was left as it was, I didn’t bother to take it down because I had a plan for it. Currently the five of us including Reinard, Vorgrim, Luna and Jim were in the same hall where I had exposed Leo’s secrets. I was in my original appearance because it was already compromised due to the videos that were recorded of the battle inside the dome, the same went for Reinard too except for Vorgrim’s, who was posing as my handsome butler.
We all were sitting on the stage as the people inside the hall arranged for the crowd that was about to gather here regarding the press conference that involved the fate of the whole world. Luna and Jim had already contacted various Government Head’s and this press conference had been arranged by them. A lot of Guild Master’s were going to come here and the only thing we had to do was to wait for them and the press conference would start.
“So what’s the plan? How are you gonna tell the world about it?” Luna asked me, who was sitting on my left side and Reinard on my right. With Vorgrim standing behind us and Jim was somewhere else, probably calling important people and informing them about the press conference. The news about this incident had already spread like a wildfire, the whole world wanted to know because the videos had raised a lot of questions among the populace.
“There’s nothing to hide really, so I would be giving them the truth.” I said and looked at the crew inside the hall, secretly taking our photos.
“You’re gonna explain to them that the world’s about to go shit? That ain't news, but we have to give them proof. How about your husband bringing out those people you’ve fought?” Luna said and her words were true. With the things happening now, proof was the only thing that has kept the society running.
“That won't be happening, those people we fought are not controllable. They might retaliate and that could blow up the whole conference. But I do have another alternative to it though.” I looked at Reinard who was busy looking at his phone.
“The people from the Dead Realm will help us in explaining everything there is to know after I explain the basics.” I said and looked at the frowning Luna.
“You'll know. Just wait and watch.” I said and she stopped frowning, probably thinking about what this Dead Realm is.
-An Hour Later-
Everyone was gathered at the conference hall. It was about time for the World to know what shit they were getting into.
I looked at the hall filled with people. Reporters, Journalists, Guild Master’s, Government Heads sitting at the front row and a shit ton of audience sitting right behind them. The only Top Ranking Guild Master here was Jim, the other Guild Master’s were not that famous. I don’t know the reason but the most infamous one’s were not here. Probably watching this live from their cozy homes. The Government Head’s on the other hand included the mayors of New York and some of the closely connected to New York. Even the president was here, just not in this hall. We would surely have to talk to him separately though, that I knew.
Everyone went silent after hearing a cough from Luna and she took this chance to speak, the only person whom these people trusted as she was the Guild Master of The Cuties which was famous now for getting into the Top Ten List of the Guilds.
“Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Luna. You know me as the Guild Master of The Cuties.” She spoke politely to the whole lot of people as the cameras focused on her.
“This Press Conference is held regarding the current situation our country and also the whole world has seen today. So I would like for you all to listen to everything very carefully as my friend, Lizandra here, whom you know as the white haired beauty will explain the details.” Luna said and yes, the whole world had named me as the white haired beauty because they didn’t know my real name. I took that as my cue to speak.
“My name is Lizandra and I know that each and every one of you have a lot of questions regarding the situation that you have seen today. Now I want you all to listen very carefully and let me finish what I am about to say. After hearing it, we will be open to answering your questions.” I said and took a deep breath as the things that I was about to say were a lot more than people might think.
“The world up until now was bearable at least. We had walls to protect ourselves, adventurers to defend us, a government to maintain peace even though the crime rates have increased. That was all in the past now. There are things that the system hasn’t explained to us, as we are still in the early stages of initialization. Now you may have questions regarding the system and how I know it but please hold onto them for a bit longer. The system as you know has assigned everyone levels and ranks but that is the basics for every other planet, realm or world in the universe. You all know that we are not the only civilization in the entire universe or even the multiverse, so to speak. The things that you’ve seen today, the spaceship, the millions of people, the weapons they were using and even the beings that we were fighting in those videos.” I took a moment to catch my breath as the tension in the hall rose up, I could see a lot of people questioning in their minds about my words. “Those beings were not of this world and they were not the last ones we’ll have to face. There is a war coming and we have to be prepared for it.”
“We are not the only beings the system has recognized, there are others out there in the vastness of the universe.” I said and summoned the five leaders of the Dead Realm. They had agreed to explain every question.
The people inside the hall were shocked to see five figures appearing inside the hall, many of them thought that this was an attack, a planned one to kill the key figure of New York and the surrounding cities.
“Stop !! Whatever you are thinking is not going to happen.” I said and looked at the people taking out their weapons to defend themselves.
“They are not our enemy, they are here to help you understand the situation and answer your questions.” Luna said to calm down the people but they were now on guard. Not taking a chance to risk their lives.
