-Vorgrim’s POV-
I had never thought that I would witness the legendary resurrection spell being cast by a mere human woman. But here I was, back to life, with the soul pact that Ayer had put on me removed by the devil in the skin of a human ‘Reinard’.
“Rise and serve I, Lizandra your Master, faithfully for the rest of your life, Vorgrim, The Bringer of Calamity” As she said those words, I finally got to know the name of my master, although the dragon’s pride inside me was fighting to take control of my thoughts, it was futile. I had understood the soul pact that Reinard had put on me. It was already crushing my pride from inside and turning me into Lizandra’s servant for the rest of my life. But still, this was better than being Ayer’s pawn. At least I could feel that my master was strong, how much? I didn’t know yet. But I will surely witness it some day. I gazed up at those beautiful sapphire blue eyes of hers that white hair flowing beautifully making her seem surreal. I shouldn’t be admiring my Master like this, but this damned soul pact, it was like a parasite, corrupting my mind, making me only think about my Master and how I could serve her, be her shield and sword.
-Liz’s POV-
Having been loaded with this much information made me mentally tired but I had to keep moving forward. I looked at Vorgrim, who was giving me creepy looks. ‘Couldn’t Reinard just make him a normal servant, why did he have to make him a creepy obsessed servant’, I thought to myself while letting out a long and tired sigh.
“Alright, let’s get going, we have a lot of things to do and also Reinard, please change his obsessive nature, I want him to be how he was before, not this creepy obsessed servant” and he did what I told him to, changing Vorgrim back to his own Dragon minded self.
The three of us headed back towards the Base, while passing through the forests in the no man’s land. I had altered Vorgrim’s skin texture, hiding his scales to make them look like human skin. He had already hid his horns and wings when transforming into his humanoid form but the scales on his body couldn’t be changed to look like normal human skin.
-An Hour Later-
We were back at the Base and discussing Vorgrim’s role, in Reinard’s office.
“What should we make him do?” I asked Reinard and looked at Vorgrim who was sitting on the chair, muttering about how the coffee tasted so good and all, maybe there was no coffee in Astria.
“We can try to make him an Adventurer, but that would be a bit more boring and would also be a waste of time. How about we make him stay by your side to protect you?” Reinard says to me while sipping on the coffee, or more like slurping it up.
“That can work, but it will be hard for me to work as Lily then.” I mean having him by my side had its own advantages, I wouldn’t have to worry if an invasion suddenly happens, he could guide me and Reinard can teleport directly by my side. Vorgrim could also help me build a reputation with the Guilds, the only problem was him being a guy and I couldn't get him inside The Cuties.
“Right…well master, you can also leave this adventuring thing and work at that merchant guild of yours with Vorgrim being your secretary.” Now that was a good suggestion, I could just have Vorgrim do all the work for me, while I tried out those new games. ‘Indeed a good idea’.
“Hey, Vorgrim, can you do paperwork?” I asked him and broke his happy mood, by mentioning the paperwork.
“I can, Master, you know that I was the Leader of Dragon’s on Astria right?” He answers my question while puffing his chest out and telling me about him being the leader of dragons on Astria.
“Nice, it’s settled then, Reinard you work on your Guild and that Army of yours, while me and Vorgrim would work on the Merchant Guild. I’ll have to talk to her and give her new commands. I’ll start by taking control of L.A. once it has been rebuilt, once that’s done we’ll move on to the Alliance building part. By the time we are done with these, we’ll be having a sizable army to defend the invasion of the other worlds.” As I was explaining these things to Reinard and Vorgrim, I made a call.
“What do you want now?” answered the voice of a woman on the other side.
“Hey, I know it must be tough on you but still, you have to keep doing it.” I told the woman on the other side of the line. I could hear some crashing noises from the other side and a scream piercing right through my ears, I quickly put the phone away from my ear and soon the screams subsided.
“We will be swapping places, I want you to act as Lily for the time being, and I’ll be taking your place. Got it?” What I heard from the other side was a joyful laugh and not some kind of condemnation.
“Sure sure, I’d love to do that. I’ll go immediately so that you can take my empty place.” And the phone call ended.
“She sure has a lot of mood swings, even though she is just my duplicate, right Reinard?” I told the old man dressed still in that butler uniform. But I didn’t get any response, so I looked at him just to see that he was glaring at the phone in my hand. ‘Ah..right’. Reinard’s always been like this, there was a time when my duplicate had tried to do something to him, which had angered him so much that he started giving the cold shoulders to all of the duplicates that I created.

Moving on from Reinard giving piercing glares to my phone. I left with Vorgrim for the city of New York, where the main branch of my merchant guild was located. Even though the one in L.A was destroyed, I didn’t have any regrets. We had already recovered the loss and our vault was fully loaded, how was that possible you might wanna ask?. It was because John, who was acting as the Secretary of Scarlet, was a duplicate of Reinard. He was given the orders to empty every single vault in L.A. and transfer the money to all the accounts that Reinard had made, just for this purpose. So we weren’t short on money. It was not like I was looting L.A. while simultaneously destroying it, that money was eventually going to go in rebuilding the city. I had just saved those vaults from the eyes of some mischievous thieves.
-A few minutes later-
Vorgrim and I were in New York. The reason was that I hated flights and I didn’t want to travel for five hours so I just used a teleportation spell and made both of us appear in the penthouse, in New York.
"Hey, I'll be sleeping for a while, wake me up if there is a call from a guy named John" I handed him the phone and off I went into the bedroom, telling him how to accept a call. I didn't even care about looking at the penthouse because my duplicates and I shared the same memories. Following the path to the bedroom I went inside and threw myself onto the bed, drifting off to the la la land.
-Vorgrim's POV-
I looked at my master, Lizandra as she went off to sleep, for who knows how long. Telling me to only wake her up, if some guy named 'John' called on the device that she handed to me, telling me to press a button on it and I would hear the voice of this 'John' guy. My world wasn't as technologically advanced as this world was. So I was a bit flabbergasted by these turn of events. I looked at the room that I was in. It was spacious and had a black box of some kind hung up on the full, this box was big, it was wide. I looked at the ceiling, there was a chandelier hanging from the ceiling, that laminated the room, it was night time outside.
Today's events were a lot to take in, although I could still feel my pride, which Reinard had returned to me when Lizandra told him to get my creepy obsessive servant self back to normal. I was glad that she did that.
Lizandra, a woman who has now become my master. I still haven't seen her full power yet but from the last time we fought, I had fired every spell that I knew right into her face but she had remained unfazed and uncaring about the damage around us, even though it was in my domain. I remember her, only clenching her fist and turning me into a meat paste. 'I wonder how she would fare against Ayer.'
The look in my eyes immediately changed from that of the curious dragon to that of a furious dragon, the rage, the humiliation started surfacing back in my mind. I thought about burning everything to ground but, suddenly the device that I had put on the table beside the chair I had been sitting in, started ringing, the system had helped me understand the language that people of this world spoke, so when I looked at the device, I could see the device vibrating and a name appearing on it, John. Seeing that I picked up the device and did what Lizandra had told me to pick up, this 'call thing'.
"Hello? Anyone there?" I asked as I put the device near my ears and I immediately heard a voice.
"Vorgrim, go and wake up Lizandra there's a serious problem at the Merchant Guild." It sounded like the voice of that Satan but, I wasn't so sure about it. Still the master had told me to wake her up when this 'John' called on the device. So I headed off towards the bedroom, where my master had gone to sleep.
On the bed I saw the figure of the beautiful woman that my master was, her long flowy hair spread out on the bed, with her soft pink lips that held a smile. Even if I was released from that obsessive servant self, I had started to like my master, I don't know the reason behind it but there was something that was making me attracted to her. As I was thinking about these things, the sound of Satan broke my thought process.
"Vorgrim, stop your daydreaming, I can sense your thoughts from miles away, she would never become yours, she will only be mine and mine alone to serve for eternity. I am warning you Vorgrim, keep those thoughts to yourself and don't act up on them." I could hear the rage of Satan from the other side. Even if he warned me, I would never be able to stop myself from liking this gorgeous woman. I am a dragon but I am falling in love with a human, how ironic.
"Ye..ss I'm sorry" I apologised to him and immediately called out to Lizandra in a gentle voice, which irritated Reinard more but, he controlled himself.
"Master, please wake up, Reinard has something important to say to you." This stirred the sleeping beauty to wake up from the la la land.
"The hell !! Man, it's not even been an hour and there's already a problem? Gimme the phone" I handed her the device as both Reinard and her talked for a few minutes before Lizandra told me that we'll be going to the Merchant Guild of hers. And soon we were sitting in a box that started moving as soon as Lizandra stepped on something near her feet and we headed towards the Guild.
-Liz's POV-
It was 8 in the evening but here I was driving the car and heading towards the Guild with Vorgrim sitting beside my seat.
The call from Reinard was regarding a deal made by the manager of the main branch of the guild. The deal was simple, but the people on the other side had the nerve to take what was rightfully and legally ours. Reinard had informed me about this because if he was the one to deal with it, the other side would probably be wiped out by the morning, without leaving any traces behind. That was also one of the reasons for the army he was building, it was to help both my Merchant Guild and his own Guild 'Bloody Retribution' to make both of our enemies pay with their lives.
-Half an Hour Later-
I was in my office on the 10th floor of my Guild sitting in the soft and comfortable chair, with a desk in front of me, having a plate with my name and designation, 'Scarlet' and 'Founder / CEO'. Vorgrim was standing right beside me and Reinard or his duplicate, John was standing in front of me, explaining the things to me as the manager and a few people who had helped in making this deal were standing right behind John.
