-Reinard's POV-
Floating in front of the seven demons, as Vorgrim called them. Each and every one of them had a different aura. Their affinities were also different. Their killing intents were also not a joke, they had probably killed billions of people. They were not even trying to hide it.
"Human, you should be grateful for our God, Ayer has asked your head as a trophy. Now either you give it to us or we'll have to behead you." One of the seven demons said and from the looks of it, he appeared to be the strongest among them. He had red hair, blue eyes and was clad in a black armor, just like the rest of them.
"What if I don't want either of those options?." I asked sarcastically but the only reply I got was a spear coming right at my face. I caught it with my hand but right after that one of the generals moved, appearing behind me with his hands stretched out to pierce my back.
"Now that is what you call backstabbing." I said and looked at the dumbfounded faces of the generals. The hand that tried to pierce my back was gone but, it regenerated quickly enough to make it seem like it was never gone. Even though the time frame for it was less than one second, the generals had seen what had just occurred.
"What are you human?" The red haired one asked me but instead of giving him a reply, I teleported in front of him and looked him straight in the eyes.
"Well, people call me by many names from where I come from. But for you, I am Death."
-Igtharus's POV-
The human in front of me didn't show any fear like the rest of the beings we had killed. It looked like he was enjoying it. I tried to gauge his level but it only showed me that he was an S Ranker. He was not even in the Tier's but still could make Xander's hand disappear. He even had the guts to come straight at me. Xander had attacked the human from back but, his hand just disappeared, gone. It regenerated quickly enough that Xander launched himself at the human who was in front of me.
"Hey !! You got your hand back. That's nice." The human said as he caught Xander's hand which was just a few inches away from blowing his head off. Both of them teleported and started fighting with each other, leaving the rest of us.
"We should go and take the head of the other one. Xander seems to be enjoying the battle with that crazy one." Birzoth said.
"Yes, we should but you, Drivlon and Agloron stay here and make sure that Xander does not die. We do not want a repeat of that lizard." I replied to Birzoth and headed towards the other human with Jolviun and Argor.
-Liz's POV-
I observed Vorgrim for a few minutes, who going on a rampage in the middle of an army of millions and more of them kept coming from the spaceship, breathing fire in his dragon form. Crushing the army single handedly and using destructive spells that took out thousands of them in one hit.
Looking at the sky above me, I spotted Reinard and the Seven Generals, as Vorgrim called them. They were talking something but it was hard to discern what is was and the next moment a spear was sent flying towards Reinard's head, which he caught with his hand but one of the generals moved and teleported behind him trying to pierce his back and to reach his heart. That never happened though because Reinard used a void spell to erase the hand trying to pierce him from behind.
The battle had started and my target was still in the spaceship, observing just like me. The both of us looked at each other and I knew that he could see through that thick metal of the spaceship. I had heard when Aye the seven generals his orders. Each one of them had a name Xander, Birzoth, Argor, Drivlon, Agloron , Igtharus and Jolviun. Vorgrim had fought them and had almost killed them right before Ayer arrived and took him captive.
'This will take a lot of time.' I thought to myself because I saw three of the generals heading towards me, they were Igtharus, Argor and Jolviun. A second later they landed in front of me.
"Human, you should be grateful for our God, Ayer has asked your head as a trophy. Now either you give it to us or we'll have to behead you." Said the red haired man with blue eyes, clad in black armor, his name was Igtharus.
"Don't you get bored of saying the same dialogues over and over again?" I asked him because I had heard him say the same thing to Reinard.
"No we don't, it is our honour to convey the message of our God." The one standing on his right said, he had black hair and black eyes, it was Argor. Igtharus gave them some kind of signal and the two of the generals beside him moved, one had a long sword in his hand while the other one had an axe, Argor used the long sword while Jolviun was the one wielding the axe. Both of them moved fast, but not really that fast. I could see them with my perception spell, it slowed down the time for me, where as the time for other people would go on normally. I didn't need to use it but, it was better to be careful.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
I saw Jolviun using his axe to cleave me in half, while Argor used a spell to coat his sword in ice, I could feel the coldness coming from the sword and he slashed at me from the side. Seeing the two of their weapons, I summoned two mana blades in my hands, to block the oncoming attack, but their weapons phased right through it. Leaving me no choice but to teleport and get away from them.
"That will not work human. Our weapons are unstoppable. Your only choice is to surrender and give us your head." Jolviun said as I observed their weapons. They looked exactly like the armor that Ayer wore. The material was phasing in and out of reality, leaving only a fraction of second right before the impact where it would come to reality and strike true. It wasn't the first time that I had to deal with such tricky weapons but it will also not be the last.
"Well then, I guess I need to take out my own weapon."I said and summoned a sword "Nexus". It had a black hilt, with a blue sapphire attacked to it, the blade of the weapon was a mix of cosmos. If looked closely it appeared to contain a galaxy in it.
-Few Minutes Ago Before Barrier Came Up-
-Luna's POV-
Standing on the wall of L.A, looking at the sky 'What a nice day it is' I thought to myself while observing the ongoing construction work of L.A. It had been a few days since the construction work had started. The rest of the Guild Master's had agreed to rebuild L.A. and there were a lot of investors helping us in the process. Lily had been a real help in clearing out the monsters when L.A was half destroyed.
I was about to go back to work but suddenly, I saw a dome going up and covering the entirety of L.A and the forest surrounding it. The next thing I knew was hearing the chatter of people, who had been teleported, out of L.A.
"What the hell happened?" One man asked.
"I don't know, I was busy moving the rocks." Another man answered him.
I flew up and started looking at my surroundings and saw the dome rising high above. Not caring about the things happening around me, I headed towards it and a few minutes later, what I saw made me realize the situation that this world would be facing if things went in the wrong direction.
I saw a golden haired man, fighting four men clad in black armor. Looking around some more. I spotted the same giant dragon that had somehow vanished when the S Rank Mutated Dungeon broke in L.A. The Dragon was going on a rampage, killing thousands of people that were probably on the black armored men's side. The number of people the Dragon was fighting was insane, just from looking at it I had shiver running down my spine. I also saw a white haired woman fighting two men, same as the one the golden haired man was fighting against, they were also clad in black armor. I tried to enter the dome but I couldn't, it was impossible. A few minutes later more people came, all of them were high ranking adventurers, Guild Masters, even people from media came to record the fight happening inside the dome. Everyone tried but alas no one could enter the dome.
-Reinard's POV-
"You guys are just bullies, trying to gang up on one person." I said while dodging the oncoming wind blade, that Drivlon was throwing at me constantly, like his mana was never ending. He created storms, hurricanes, tornadoes and kept throwing them at me. I had been fighting them for an hour, just testing their strengths, finding their weakness and using opportunities to strike back at them.
"Shut up and just die, human!!!" Xander said while swinging his halberd at me, coated in some kind of corrosive mist. I tried to dodge it but, I got surrounded by Agloron and Birzoth. Agloron had some kind of spell, spread out around him. It prevented anyone from teleporting, even he himself could not teleport and seeing me cornered like this Agloron and Birzoth used spells to bombard my back. Having left no choice, I took the hits head on.
"Arrogant human, thinking that he can kill us all." Xander said as I felt his halberd hitting my shoulder, sinking my down into the ground. Our fight in the skies had became a fight on the ground long ago. I felt the heat from Birzoth's spell and Agloron's darkness sphere hitting my back. Dust rose up around me and the next thing I knew was being hit by a massive wind blade in the chest.
-Xander's POV-
I never imagined that a human could be this resilient. Our fight had been going for an hour and the human kept dodging everytime one of us had the chance to just slice him in half. But now that all of us had gotten a clean hit on him, the only thing left to do was take his head and present it to our God.
-Liz's POV-
I kept teleporting to avoid getting hit by the Argor's long sword and Jolviun's axe. Constantly launching my own spells and using Nexus to defend myself. I was teleporting, not because I feared getting hit by them. It was because I didn't want Reinard to see me getting hurt, even if the chances were low. I hadn't gotten a chance yet to use Nexus's abilities as I was also trying to test these generals, just like what Reinard was doing. We both knew what we had to do but, putting on a show for the other's outside the dome was the only way to warn the people of the threat coming for them.
As I was busy dodging and throwing small scale destructive spells at the two, chipping away their armor, Igtharus was watching my every move. He hadn't done anything except for observing me and even Ayer was doing the same, just observing like it was some kind of entertainment for them.
I looked at the spot where Reinard was fighting the four generals, all alone. I dodged another blow from Jolviun's blood coated axe distracting me from looking at Reinard. I focused on the spot once again and saw the four generals getting a clean hit on him 'Motherfuckers !!!' and that was when I knew, shit had just hit the fan. I knew what this meant and what was going to happen now. There was nothing left for me and Vorgrim to do now for the Seven Generals had unleashed the Devil.
