-Before Ayer Invaded Astria-
-Vorgrim's POV-
"Darling, you have to accept it. I know that this issue can't be solved like the others but we have to do it diplomatically." Lorlyl said to me. The two of us were on our way to the meeting between the beast clans. It was an important meeting.
"I know Lor, but I can't let it slide just like that. Those damned humans had the guts to kill one of our own and I sure as hell won't let that kingdom flourish." I was angry not at my wife but at the humans who had captured one of my kin. They even had the guts to put the head of the one on a spear near their gates.
The things in Astria were going well, it was a peaceful era until a few years ago, a group of people made a kingdom for themselves. No one had seen them before, nor did anyone know where they came from. Those people started waging small wars against the places near them, expanding their area. These small skirmishes could be overlooked because how can human nature go for so long without having a greed for something, everyone accepted it and ignored them. Until one of our kin who ventured into their land was killed and shown to the world as a trophy of the kingdom. It had happened just a few days ago and I had only heard about this a few hours ago when the other beast clan leaders told me about the meeting regarding the situation. I had been busy with a few things related to my clan, so I couldn't have known about the death of my kin.
"Dear, please we are in a peaceful era. Why do you have to go to such lengths." My wife, who had faced many foes, even those stronger than her, she had emerged victorious every time but, now she was trying to take the diplomatic route. I didn't know why she was doing it but as a dragon, I had a certain pride that was more important to me than some small new kingdom.
"Lor, please give up, this is the way things are going to go now. I will have my revenge, for my clan, for my kin." I said and right after that our carriage stopped and the both of us got out.
I looked at the building present in the middle of a forest, a few kilometres from my clan. It was at the center of the forest surrounded by the many different beast clans. It could also be said to be a townhall building, used for important discussion by the beast clan leaders.
There were a total of seven clans. The Dragon Clan, The Phoenix Clan, The Fox Clan, The Tiger Clan, The Fenrir Clan, The Basilisk and The Griffin Clan. All of them made the seven pillars of Astria, the mythical creatures protecting Astria.
The both of us entered the building and came upon the round table, where I could see all of the clan leaders seated. I took a seat in middle of the Nihito, leader of The Fox Clan. A man who had this creepy smile on his face all the time, ready to scheme whenever the opportunity provided itself, he had orange hair which were rather odd when someone noticed it, he also had fox ears on his head and blue glowing eyes and, Hizot, leader of The Basilisk Clan. A man who would hiss whenever he spoke anything, he had black hair and black eyes.
Lorlyl my beautiful gorgeous dragon woman, looking at me with those green eyes, sat beside me.
"Vorgrim, you do know the consequences of starting this war in a peaceful era, right?" Said Aurora, leader of The Phoenix Clan. A woman whose beauty knew know bounds. Like the moon in the beautiful night, she had silver hair with red enchanting eyes.
"I know and I will start this war anyway." I replied curtly.
"What is your plan then? Are you gonna go and just kill all the people in the kingdom?" Asked Helios, leader of the Griffin Clan. A man who looked to be in his twenties with brown hair and brown eyes, he had white wings on his back.
"Have you thought about it? Do you even know what waging a war in this peaceful ear will mean?" Asked Revon, leader of The Tiger Clan. A man who looked with blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Enough of this questioning, let's just go there and kill the humans. They will surely become a threat to us in the near future." Said Xena, leader of The Fenrir Clan. A woman who had black hair and black eyes just like Hizot but with wolf ears on her head.
The discussion went on for a lot of time and concluded with The Dragon Clan waging a direct war against that small kingdom. I was tired of playing the word game with rest of the leaders, so Lorlyl and I headed back to our clan to prepare for the war.
-A Few Days Later-
I was on my way to the kingdom that killed my kin. I had thought about the war for a few days and I didn't want to risk anymore of my kin's life. So I decided that it was best for me to just personally go there and raze the kingdom to ground. Flying for an hour in my dragon form, I arrived at the walls of the kingdom only to find it empty, so I used my mana sense to look around and I saw a lot of people worshipping a person, prostrating themselves in the center of the kingdom. Curious as to see what was going on, I flew there in my human form with wings on my back.

I look at the mass of people beneath me worshipping a person, who was clad in black armor and helmet. I could not discern the face or even the body inside the armor or even the helmet. It appeared to be phasing in and out of existence like a ghost.
I hadn't known at that time but soon I would get to know that this person would be the one who will take away the life of my kin and the people of this world.
"My people, the ones who had put their undying fatih in me. I, Ayer , The Tyrant, The God Of Destruction is here to help you achieve salvation even in this painful world." The figure clad in black armor said and the next moment a massive amount of death energy spread from him, killing every living being present on the ground around the radius of a thousand kilometer.
"The fuck !!!" I cursed and the figure looked at me and it gave me a smile. I don't know how I could see it smiling even through the helmet, but fearing that the same would happen to me. I teleported, me the prideful dragon felt fear in the face of death.
I was in my bedroom. "Lorlyl, where are you?" I shouted as I went outside our bedroom and found that Lorlyl was in the kitchen, cooking something.
"What's wrong dear? Why are you shouting?" Lorlyl asked and I just went forward and hugged her. She was like a light that the moth would be attracted to, a beacon of light in the darkness. The love of my life.
"We need to leave for the townhall building." I said while calming myself a bit.
"What do you mean?" She asked but instead of answering her, I took her hand and teleported the two of us in the townhall building and mentally sent an emergency request to meet all the leaders and they came.
"What happened? Are we under attack?" Aurora asked and the rest of them had the same question as her.
"No, not yet. But there is something dangerous coming for us and we need to be prepared." I said and went on to explaining what I had seen just now.
"Ssss...Are you sure that you saw something like thasss?" Hizot asked.
Everyone looked at me like I was a crazy dragon but they knew that I was not a lier and my pride would never let me lie.
"I am sure and we have to prepare for when the time comes." I said as felt Lorlyl's hand patting my back.
-A Month Later-
'Fuck !! Why did this have to happen now' I cursed inwardly and looked at the demon following me as I kept flying towards the place where other leaders and my wife were. His name was Xander, a tall burly man, who had a perfect body made for war.
"How long are you gonna keep running Lizard? I know you are out of mana ." He said as he kept following me, flying lazily and sometimes teleporting right behind me with a huge halberd, trying to cleave me in half. I reached the place and what I saw was something that I would never forget. All of the leaders were dead, lying on the ground in the middle of a clearing in the forest and the rest of the generals of Ayer were beheading them to put their heads on a spear and one of the heads was of my wife. The moment I looked at her dull eyes, I lost myself and started using a forbidden spell to vent out my anger, the rage inside me was like a never ending fire for the ones who killed my kin, my wife and the rest of the beast clan leaders. The spell I used would take away my lifeforce in order for me to gain strength and almost unlimited mana to kill my foes. This was a one time use spell and I sure as hell was not going to live after using this spell.
And so, I went on a rampage, destroying the entire army of Ayer and having almost killed all of the generals until Ayer arrived to face me.
"Even an injured dog bites hard. The saying suits you well, Vorgrim. I accept your offerings and for that you shall be rewarded with becoming one of my generals." My eyes were bloodshot red. I had been fighting for days to have a chance at killing the generals. My body was one the verge of breaking but I held on.
Ayer used a spell and I could see the inner working of the spell and I knew what that meant. "Noooooo" I shouted and rushed at him but he used another spell and made a barrier to cage me as I looked at the generals who were on the brink of death being restored to life. I could feel the lifeforce inside my burning out and I knew this was the end. All of this was for nothing. But just as I was about to die, a fire burned inside me and I felt my lifeforce returning back. I looked at the face of Ayer, he had a scar on the right side of his cheek and a smile on his face that made me feel true despair. From that day onwards my life became hell.
-Back To Present-
-Vorgrim's POV-
I looked at the seven generals and specifically at Igtharus, the one who had killed my wife and the strongest of the seven generals. The rage inside me had never died but I had forcefully subdued it because I knew that I would never be able to avenge my wife and the rest of the beast clan leaders.
But today, that might change. Just from seeing Reinard throw a punch at Ayer's face and the crack forming on his helmet, I knew that we had a chance to win. Six of the generals were in the Tier 5 and they had the same levels, Level 800, on the verge of breaking through to become Demi-Gods but only Igtharus had achieved the status of a Demi-God, at Tier 6 Level 801. I knew that this was going to be a hard battle for the three of us but we did not have a choice. This world didn't have anyone capable enough to face these beings. I looked at the army in front of me, amounting to be at least in millions. It was the army of a necromancer. Although Ayer didn't have a title for it, he sure as hell would have it someday in the future if we don't manage to kill him. His army was in Tier 4, the same as me and it was an opportunity for me to level up and my revenge.
