Now that Isaac and Yu were gone, George and the others were saddened by their friends leaving. They were heading to the inn they used to stay at.
Once they arrived, Anna welcomed them back. George took a good look at the place again.
Nothing much changed, the two beds were still there, the holes on the ceiling were as well, and no one else was staying there.
But to be honest, it was the same as when they left.
A squeak was then heard as a huge rat came running towards them.
George was startled as it bolted towards them. He was the only one who was startled.
The rat went to Grim's legs as it squeaked seemingly happy.
Grim chuckled and proceeded to bend down and hold it with his two bare hands.
"Oh Monty, I'm happy to see you too!" Grim said to the rat as he proceeded to bend back and carry it.
George and the others just looked at him weirdly. Grim saw them make the faces and asked.
"What?" He asked, confused.
"You named that rat?" George asked curiously.
"Yeah, his name's Monty." Grim said as Monty went up to his shoulder.
"How do you know it's a he?" Mileena asked, seeing the rat curl up on Grim's shoulder.
"Trust me, I know more about animals than you guys ever will." Grim said. The others nodded in reply but George looked at his eyes and saw suffering and trauma. He decided not to talk about it.
They then proceeded to go upstairs after George gave Anna two silver coins.
Tina and Emily went to their old room while the three went to a new one.
There, Grim proceeded to lay in bed with Monty whilst George ordered Mileena to give him a lap pillow. They then slept peacefully.
----------------------------------------
Once morning came, George and the others woke up, preparing for the day. George and Grim first bought some bread for them to eat but not before letting Monty go.
'Thank goodness the bed didn't fall this time.' George thought as he ate.
After eating, they then went to the guild to find some more quests. There, they found ones that fit them.
'Gather 50 Cilian mushrooms
Reward:500 Silver Coins'
Finding the right quest, they used a portal made by Mileena to arrive at the forest where they found the two Chimeras.
They then proceeded to gather the mushrooms. Grim and Tina proceeded to do absolutely nothing and just lay on the ground.
Mileena and Emily were gathering near them while George went somewhere else to find more mushrooms. Hearing that George went somewhere else, he decided to join him without the others' approval.
----------------------------------------
George was wandering around the forest, looking for more mushrooms. He had a sack filled with some but not enough.
His sword was nowhere to be seen as it was still at the inn and since it was useless, he decided to not bring it.
After walking for minutes, he then reached the end of the forest, there, he heard a loud roar. He looked towards the plains where a stone road was, looked at the source, and saw a giant wagon being moved by a giant creature.
The creature looked like a rhino as there was but one horn at the front and had the same color scheme. That was the only similarity as the skin had stone-like patterns and its size was huge. It was about the size of a bus. The fact that there were also two of them carrying a huge wagon the size of a small cottage was shocking. The ropes that were connecting them were surprisingly strong.
George then saw some smaller figures. Some men in horses guarded the huge wagon.
He was amazed by the creatures and what it was doing. He has never seen anything like it. Then remembered that he was in another world.

"I wonder what they are..." George wondered to himself as he wandered away to find more mushrooms.
"Those creatures were Revys." Grim said out of nowhere, startling George in the process.
"Dude! Why were you following me?!" George asked.
"I don't know." Grim said bluntly with a blank face. He was looking at the creatures he called, 'Revys.' "They're Revys, creatures used for heavy-lifting."
"And what are they carrying?" George asked curiously.
"Rations, Supply..." Grim paused a bit before continuing. "Weapons, siege equipment. They send 'em to the front lines."
"Really? Huge targets like those?" George asked. Grim silently walked near the edge of the forest.
"Don't worry, they have skin as tough as nails." Grim reassured him.
"Ok..." George muttered. It was then silent as George looked at Grim.
Grim's face was blank, with no emotion or anything but a small frown on his face. His eyes were lifeless as they gazed upon the Revys. He looked like he was deep in thought.
That was until he muttered something from out of the blue.
"gidheadh tha mi beò..." He muttered. George tilted his head, confused at Grim's words.
"What did you say?" George asked, curious about what he said though it just seemed to snap Grim out of whatever he was thinking.
"Nothing, just some gibberish." Grim replied before turning to him. "I'm going to go now. Not that useful here anyway."
Grim then walked past George, heading back to where the others were.
George stood there, thinking of what just happened before going back to finding more mushrooms.
----------------------------------------
After a few grueling hours of picking up mushrooms, they finally had enough to fulfill the quest.
They returned via a portal, gave the receptionist the sack of Cilian mushrooms, and received the reward.
After that, they took a break, sitting on the vacant chairs in the guild and inside the Resting Room. Emily wanted to visit the marketplace, with Tina accompanying her.
Not wanting to be worried, George asked Mileena to accompany the two to which she accepted wholeheartedly.
George then rested, closing his eyes as his exhaustion took a toll on him.
----------------------------------------
A six-year-old George was tired. His hands were bruised and bloody, he had an angry expression on his face. He was looking at a kid that was about two years older than him that was on the ground, all bloody and beaten up. The kid lay there, groaning and in pain.
An adult walked in, stopping in shock as they went to inform others.
As more adults walked in, one escorted him away while the others went to call an ambulance. All that yet George's eyes lingered on the kid, anger, and rage never leaving his eyes.
"Why did you do that?!" A voice yelled at him.
"He deserved it." George muttered. "Why can't you see that?"
----------------------------------------
George abruptly woke up sweating and in a state of panic. He quickly looked at his hands and saw that it was okay. Seeing it, he then breathed a sigh of relief.
'It was just a dream...' George thought to himself as he wiped off his sweat.
He turned to his side, seeing Grim asleep on the chair. He decided to stand up and look outside to see where the sun was. Once he took a step outside, he saw that it was afternoon already.
"Huh, that was quick." George said to himself.
"Master! Master! Master! Master!" A distressed Mileena then appeared, running to her master.
"What?" George asked as he looked at her and behind her. He noticed that Tina and Emily were not anywhere to be seen, and with it, George started to panic on the inside. "Uh...Mileena, where are the two?"
"Their manas are depleted!" Mileena said in a distressed tone.
"...so?" George asked, confused at what would happen.
"They almost transformed into back Chimeras!" Mileena said, whispering the last part.
"Oh." George said bluntly before adding a bit of panic to it. "Where are they now!"
"In a cave inside the forest we were in. They're there, resting." Mileena informed George who gripped his chest and sighed in relief.
"Don't scare me like that again." George said before going inside the guild to wake up Grim. He saw Grim resting peacefully in the chair before abruptly waking him up.
"Wake up!" George shouted.
"Huh? Chris? What the-" Grim groggily mumbled, scratching his eyes as he looked left and right to where the voice came from. He then saw George standing in front of him. "Oh."
"Let's go..." George said before his stomach grumbled. "For lunch."
----------------------------------------
"Are you sure this isn't too much?" Grim asked as he held a large sack.
"I don't think so..." George said, carrying tons and tons of sacks.
The two were at the marketplace buying some food. George ordered Mileena to stay with the other two and keep them safe. That left Grim to be with George as they shopped for food.
"Though, I think this took a toll on our money." George muttered as he moved his shaky legs forward.
"Okay, we are going back to return some of it." Grim said as he turned around the other way and walked back to the shop. George tried to do the same but ended up crashing into something and falling.
"Ow, ow..." He caressed his butt, looking at the sacks that fell off his hands. Suddenly, he saw a sign.
'Sign-up Now and Possibly Win 10,000 Gold Coins! Plus Two Tickets to the New Museum!'
George read the sign, smiled brightly, and immediately went to the sign-up place that was just a few inches away. Thankfully, the line-Oh, wait...there was no line. George then went to the person by the desk.
"Hello, are you here to sign up?" The person by the desk asked to which George nodded. The person then got a paper that said 'Contract.' "Sign here, here, and here."
George was given a quill and ink, signing the lines required and finishing it. The person then snatched the paper and replied.
"Great, Mr. George, on June 10, please go back here." The person said before asking George to leave. Once he left the place, he saw Grim picking up the sacks.
"Hey, George! Why didn't you pick these up!?" Grim shouted once he saw George come to him.
"Well, my dear friend, I just signed up to win 10,000 Gold Coins. I was in a haste so..." George tried to explain. Grim looked at the same sign George saw and immediately facepalmed. George was confused at Grim's actions.
"Dumbass, aren't you smart?" Grim asked, incredulous at George's doing.
"Well, I'm somewhat smart. Why?" George asked.
"You just entered a fighting tournament." Grim said bluntly.
