The next day, Tina woke up to a sleeping Emily near her, startling her, and making the rest wake up as well. Emily woke up and smiled brightly at Tina. Emily was quite delighted with the things she saw when she visited the city. Tina quickly asked what happened. Emily then told the events that unfurled at night.
She told them about some perverts that were there. They tried to capture her but thankfully, she was strong and Yu and Isaac were there to help her.
"We should've removed our maid dresses." Emily said, regretting not taking off the dress.
"Yeah, you should have." Grim chirped in, saying it in his girl voice.
Then, she told them about the shops. Some shops were still open at night like a pharmacy, a shop for potions, a blacksmith, and more. After finishing, the story, Emily then exited to take a pee. Tina released a sigh of relief as nothing dangerous happened to her sister.
They then went downstairs to take a quick meal before opening the shop. Ted was in his room, busy with something. Fred was by the counter, ready to receive orders from customers.
The place was silent as they ate their breakfast. George was looking at Grim's maid dress before speaking up.
"Hey, Grim." George said.
"What?" Grim asked, diverting his attention to George, his voice reverted back to his normal one.
"Doesn't that outfit stink?" George asked curiously.
"Well, thanks to magic, it's designed to not smell like anything but its original smell. And it's always dry." Grim replied as he continued eating his sandwich.
After finishing, they then went to work as normal. Everything went completely normal and just like yesterday, nothing eventful happened but unlike before, Ted was nowhere in the kitchen. George theorized that he was making hiring flyers to get employees. George and Isaac decided to cook without him.
Then the cycle went on again, the shop was closed, they cleaned up and went to rest,
The next day was their last. They worked like normal. There were a lot of customers this time. It was a weekend. They had to work harder since there were a lot of people coming in and out every minute. thankfully, Ted was there with a recruit. He introduced us to the guy. The new employee was Toby, he was a junior chef. He had brown skin and long black hair. He seemed to be about nineteen years old.
Ted and Toby helped with the cooking. He had quite a sense of humor, he was charming and friendly. He was also nice to them.
'I'm pretty sure Grim had a gay panic.' Both Isaac and George thought as they saw Toby interact with Grim. They went back to work shortly after that.
Hours have gone by, it was now closing time. The last of the customers left the place. The maids and Fred were cleaning the tables and floors. Toby and the cooks were cleaning their equipment. After they were done, Toby left, he greeted them goodbye as he left.
'He's a friendly co-worker.' They all thought as he left via the front door. After a short while, the maids were done cleaning the place and soon after, Fred waved them goodbye as he left. It was silent as they stayed a bit near the counter. Isaac, Ted, and George were on one side and the girls with Grim on the other.
Ted then brought out a small sack from his pocket. This made the rest turn to him. He removed the tie that kept it closed and removed the insides. The sounds of coins colliding with each other filled the room. The coins fell on the counter, revealing 35 of them. The party was silent as they saw what it was.
Gold coins. They were gold coins, each piece cost 500 silver. Ted cleared his throat, removing them from their little stupor.
"I wanted to thank you all for helping me." Ted started, his voice was low. "This, along with the ones in the quest board are for you. I'm sorry there wasn't enough. It's just...after all these years...my dream of owning a successful business has finally become reality. If...if it wasn't for you guys...I would have shut this place down...I've had other adventurers help me but they all ended up leaving. I'm thankful that you guys stayed and helped."
Ted was crying tears of joy as he spoke.
"Well, it is our job to do what was needed to be done." George said, smiling at Ted. The others were also smiling.
"It's...It's been fun working with you." Ted stopped crying, wiping his tears. "Though, you need to stop screaming. My ears nearly lost their hearing because of you."
George scratched his back in embarrassment as the others snickered. They then got five gold coins each. Although, Grim and Mileena just gave theirs to George for safekeeping.

"Y-you guys should probably leave now. I'm going to sleep now. Plus tomorrow, I'd have the tavern closed because of my need for employees. It's a big day for me tomorrow." Ted said, sweating a bit.
"Sure..." Grim said, removing his wig and reverting to his normal voice before suggesting something. "Oh, if you want to, I can give you the maid outfits."
"Don't you need it?" Ted asked, shocked by his words.
"Nope. Plus I've got tons." This made everyone look at Grim in bewilderment. Grim raised an eyebrow at George who looked at him as well. "What?"
"Nothing." They said in unison.
"Well, if you insist then." Ted replied.
"Sure! I'll give it to you later." Grim replied. "But first. The ladies need to undress first."
The ladies proceeded to blush as Grim said that.
"Break Room. Go." Grim said with a serious tone. The girls then proceeded to bolt upstairs to change.
The men were then left downstairs. Grim snapped his fingers, causing his clothes to change from his maid outfit to what he was wearing last time. He then opened a small portal revealing a basket with the ladies' clothes. Isaac blushed looking at them. Grim saw it and asked.
"Some of these were mine you know." He said to Isaac, making him blush harder as a result. Grim sighed as he went towards the stairs and give the clothes back to the ladies.
"I bet that Yu would kick him." George started.
"I bet that Yu would definitely kick him with a roundhouse kick." Isaac said.
"Bet 10 silver coins?" George asked, Isaac, nodded.
Once they heard a door opening, a high-pitched scream echoed, and after, two loud thuds were heard after the scream. George and Isaac quickly went to the foot of the stairs. They then heard Yu rumbling out apologies to Grim who was laying on the floor.
"Hey, Yu!" Isaac shouted, staying downstairs.
"Y-yes?" Yu asked embarrassingly.
"Did you kick him?" George proceeded to ask.
"Y-yes..." Yu admitted weakly.
"Did you hear that?" George whispered to Isaac.
"Yeah." Isaac whispered back. he then proceeded to ask Yu another question. "Was it a roundhouse kick?"
"..." Yu was silent before a weak voice was heard again. "...yes..."
George silently grumbled and got out a sack from his pockets and gave Isaac ten silver coins. He then closed the sack and put it back in his pockets.
----------------------------------------
After the ladies finished undressing, they were back in their old clothes. They were now outside the tavern as they waved goodbye to Ted who was looking from the window. Ted was holding the basket but with maid clothes as he waved back.
The party then walked away from the tavern as they made their way to the guild. As they neared, a bird appeared in front of Isaac.
The bird was average-sized. It had black and white spots which made it different from other birds.
Isaac brought out his right arm which made the bird land on it. Its talons gripping his leather armor. Isaac noticed that they were at the entrance of the guild.
"Hey, guys...I need to do something first. You guys can go inside, you can tell the receptionist that you can collect the money." Isaac then went into an alleyway. The others looked as he went into it before they entered the building.
"Why did he have a bird?" George asked as he entered though no one seemed to answer.
Isaac was now alone with the bird in his arm. The bird looked at him in the eyes before opening its beak. It then spoke perfect English to Isaac as he processed what it was saying.
The bird was a Telegroph bird. A type of bird that can perfectly repeat what a person said just by listening. It can also follow orders. Because of it, they were then trained by humans to act as messengers to be used for faraway lands. Most Telegroph birds live in forests but some can be seen in deserts and jungles. Many can be found in shops and are common in the wild.
"Okay, Griph." Isaac then proceeded to mumble things at the bird's ear. "You got that?"
Griph nodded then proceeded to fly away.
Isaac saw a figure further in the alleyway. He looked at it and saw a humanoid figure.
"Hey, kid." The figure said, revealing to be a person with a sword. "Gimme all your belongings."
Isaac sighed as he got out his shield that was on his back and unsheathed his sword that was at his side. He then got in a defensive stance though that wasn't needed as the thief was surprised by his weapons and quickly fled. He then put his weapons back in and went to the guild where the others were.
-"You thought they were going to have an action scene? Sike...I wish there was an action scene..."-
He found them waiting by the entrance as they already have the reward. They had already split the reward with 2000 to Yu and Isaac, 2000 to George, Grim, and Mileena, and 1000 to Emily and Tina.
"So, we're done here?" Grim asked Yu and Isaac.
"Yeah." Isaac replied with a sad tone.
"Okay then." George said, yawning. "We better return to our inn. We'll see you tomorrow!"
"Actually..." Isaac started, stopping George and the others from moving. "We won't see you guys tomorrow."
"Why?" Tina asked, shocked.
"W-well, I received a message from my parents to return to our village." Isaac said. "Same goes for Yu."
"Oh." George said with a concerned face. "This is goodbye then?"
"Most likely." Isaac replied.
"It's been a fun and long week." George said, trying to lighten up the mood.
"Y-yeah..." Isaac said. It was a sad goodbye. The whole party's only been together for at least a week but splitting up took a toll on him. Yu was also sad.
"W-we should go." Grim said with a normal face. Though he had a normal face on, he hid his sadness inside, Yu and Isaac became his friends, bonding during breaks.
"Will we see each other again?" Yu asked curiously.
"I don't think so..." George said. "After we help Tina and Emily. Mileena, Grim, and I were going somewhere far away."
"Oh..." Isaac said, their hopes of meeting again were shattered. "Well, good luck then."
"Good luck as well." George replied. "You know what you need to do."
During these last two days, George was encouraging Isaac who was scared of confessing. Opportunities appeared when Yu and Isaac were alone but due to his fear, he couldn't confess.
"Yeah, I do." Isaac said. He and Yu then turned away, walking to the inn that they were staying in. George and the others turned away and walked in the opposite direction as well.
Now alone, Isaac decided to act now.
"Hey, Yu." He said, gaining Yu's attention.
"Yes?" She asked. Isaac took a good look at her, blushing as he did so. Yu had a small blush as she looked at him.
Isaac looked down.
He had a lot of trouble saying it. His fear was overpowering him, making him stop in place. This made Yu confused as she also did the same when she saw him stop. Isaac's hands formed a fist. He remembered George's words. After some more minutes of silence, he opened his mouth.
"I love you."
-"You weren't expecting this weren't you?...well...so did I...this was completely unexpected."-
