Bai Jing's brows were raised, looking at the barrier surrounding her and Jiang Fu.

"What's this about Vice-Sect Master?" Bai Jing questioned Jiang Fu.

Putting on an exaggerated frown Jiang Fu spoke up.

"Don't be like that little Jing! Just call me Uncle Fu like usual. There's no need to be so distant."

Bai Jing just stared at Jiang Fu, as if questioning "that's it?".

Seeing her non reaction, Jiang Fu let out a long sigh, clasped his hands behind his back and looked up with a look of sadness.

Bai Jing: "..."

"Are you angry about the library and the missions?" Jiang Fu asked, looking back down towards Bai Jing.

"No no, don't say it!" Jiang Fu didn't wait for a response, waving his hands out in front of his body.

"You know I never lied to you, I intended to pull all the stops to give you free sect points and access to all the techniques. However..." Jiang Fu paused, looking conflicted.

'Forgive me Brother Kong.'

"Your father, my good Brother, made me promise him something before I could take you to the sect. I know how much you wanted to join, so after struggling with myself day and night I finally agreed to his request." Jiang Fu shook his head and walked up to Bai Jing, placing his hand gently on her shoulder, slightly looking up to her with a weary smile.

Bai Jing used her thumb and index finger to pick up Jiang Fu's hand from her shoulder, like it was something dirty. Then swept her shoulder a few times.

"Ah..." Jiang Fu paused, looking like he didn't expect her reaction.

"So what did you agree to?" Bai Jing questioned, intrigued.

Jiang Fu collected himself, gripped his fist near his face shaking it.

"I-I promised Brother Kong that I would make difficulties for you, push you hard, and let your potential bloom! Alas, I couldn't handle you being angry at me and I have betrayed Brother Kong. If Brother Kong finds out I betrayed him he would probably kill me and take you away from the sect!"

Tears seemed to be gathering at the corners of Jiang Fu's eyes as he stared intently at Bai Jing.

Bai Jing sighed and patted Jiang Fu on the shoulder.

"There, there, Uncle Fu you did the right thing by telling me this, don't worry I won't tell Father."

The tears that threatened to fall down Jiang Fu's face immediately dried up and his face switched to a smile.

"Haha! I knew little Jing would understand. Our bond is too strong to be affected by this small matter." Jiang Fu exclaimed happily.

"Truly, and to think I was going to tell Aunt Chumei you were bullying me and even touched me inappropriately." Bai Jing said with a smile, showing off her pearly white teeth.

Jiang Fu froze looking dumbfounded from her statement, before recovering after a few moments.

"Ha...haha, of course, how many times have you told me you don't like secrets being hidden from you!" Jiang Fu hesitantly replied while wiping off cold sweat from his forehead.

Bai Jing took out a comfy looking chair from her spatial ring and sat down, legs crossed.

"Now I'm curious, just having me do missions must be only part of your plan. What other things did you have planned to 'have my potential bloom'?" Bai Jing asked while twirling her hair with a finger.

Jiang Fu cleared his throat.

"Well I had a couple minor things in mind, including finding a Master for you, but my biggest and most recent plan was to introduce a rival for you. I found quite an interesting fellow while I was travelling around, there are many strange things about him and my instincts tell me he will be a monster in the future. It's the same feeling I got when I first met Brother Kong, something I can't forget. I felt he would be able to motivate and push you, and you would do the same for him. A perfect match!" Jiang Fu explained in increasing passion as he spoke, his hands flailing around.

Bai Jing's face was scrunched up as she listened to Jiang Fu's rambling.

"Pfft, a rival? I find that hard to believe! Whether it's beauty or talent I am number one! What's his talent? It can't possibly be Transcendent. It already sounds impossible that me and my father both have it. What, is his spirit root at the top of Supreme grade or what?" Bai Jing's tone was filled with distain as she spoke.

Shaking his head Jiang Fu said, "His name is Jiang Chen, if you want I can introduce you two! He could even reside on the mountain with you. You are allowed to give other disciples residences here!" Jiang Fu rubbed his hands together.

"Ah, so he's your illegitimate child huh? No wonder you speak so highly of him. I'm conflicted though, I feel obligated to tell Aunty Chumei how unfaithful you are." Bai Jing spoke deprecatingly, shaking her head with a weary smile.

"Little Jing don't say such things, my poor heart can't take your teasing. Always bullying your kind and just Uncle Fu, who brings you gifts every time you see him." Jiang Fu put on and exaggerated act with his lips pouted.

"Hahah, relax I'm just joking, anyway since I'm finally in the sect I should also help you out. Give me some time and I will set you and Aunt Chumei up on a romantic date that you couldn't possibly screw up. Then you will have a legitimate child you can boast about soon." Bai Jing playfully spoke, ending her speech with a wink.

Jiang Fu stopped all his exaggerated acting.

"Hahaha, I knew little Jing was the nicest to me. Good, good!" Jiang Fu laughed happily before coming to an abrupt stop.

"Ahem, let's get down to business first. How should we handle your Father's request?" Jiang Fu looked serious.

"Hmmmm!" Bai Jing contemplated.

"Well first off, I don't mind doing missions too much, it could be fun like Ying Ying said. Plus it's about time I get to go out and explore, I was getting a little bored staying at home."

"Beyond that, everything sounds like a pain. As long as you make some exaggerated stuff up about what you're putting me through and tell father about it, then I complain about how hard life here is back to Mother and Father they shouldn't suspect anything." Bai Jing crossed her arms together, emphasizing her chest, and twirled her foot around as she confidently spoke, looking satisfied.

Jiang Fu hesitantly nodded in agreement.

"But sometimes I may need a large influx of points. So I will have to count on you then!" Bai Jing added.

"I will work my magic don't you worry." Jiang Fu said confidently.

"But...." Jiang Fu paused in thought, his face turning serious.

"You also have to start cultivating and training more. I know you must have your own wants and plans for choosing to come to the sect, but I don't want to see you wasting your talent. Even if you end up hating me, I would come clean to Brother Kong and set you on the right path!" Jiang Fu looked extremely serious as he spoke.

Bai Jing could feel a solemn atmosphere around, this was the most serious she had ever seen Jiang Fu.

Bai Jing was not unhappy about this, she even felt happy about Jiang Fu's care.

"Don't worry I will Uncle Fu, I was just taking some time to enjoy myself while I was still young. Now others are starting to catch up to me and I need to show them that they had no hope from the start!" Bai Jing was smirking as she got up from the chair, put one hand around Jiang Fu, giving him a hug from the side.

Jiang Fu smiled happily with relief.

"Was that all this was about?" Bai Jing separated from Jiang Fu and asked.

"Mhmm, I can't underestimate your Father, he has many methods. I will undo the barrier now."

All of the sudden Bai Jing recalled something.

"Wait!" Bai Jing quickly called out.

Jiang Fu stopped his actions, looking back at Bai Jing.

"I can have two servants right? How do I choose another?" Bai Jing inquired with anticipation.

"Oh that, I can choose someone suitable if you like. I can send them over tomorrow."

Bai Jing shook her head in denial.

"No, I want to chose them myself. Is there any way I can pick from a large group of cultivators."

"In that case, I can just issue a notice from the sect about this and have all who want to be your servant gather for you to choose. Did you have any requirements?" Jiang Fu spoke nonchalantly, indicating it was no problem.

"Just that they are women, their talent or cultivation doesn't matter." Bai Jing responded after a moment of contemplation,

"Okay, then why don't I set it up so you can choose after the new disciples enter. It should be done in under two weeks. You might fancy one of the new disciples."

"What's taking so long?" Ying Ying murmured aloud.

'Young Miss and Elder Fu always get along so well. They are both inexplicable and make all sorts of strange dealings with each other.'

Taking out a Communication Jade, Ying Ying paced back and forth in front of the barrier, wondering if she should contact the Madam or Master.

Just as she was about to bring the jade up the barrier trembled and then slowly dissipated.

Ying Ying hurriedly put the jade away and stared intently at the two reappearing figures.

She did not notice anything off about them, so she willed her Divine Sense for a better look but was easily blocked by the two.

"Young Miss!" Ying Ying ran up to Bai Jing and gave her a tight hug around the waist, secretly checking closer and taking a few sniffs, trying to discover any scent.

Bai Jing looked at Ying Ying strangely, catching her subtle and strange actions.

"What's wrong with you? Don't tell me you've fallen for me now? Sorry but I'm not interested!" Bai Jing said, poking Ying Ying on the forehead.

Letting go of Bai Jing, Ying Ying looked embarrassed.

"No, I-I just missed you... we are somewhere new and you suddenly disappeared, I got nervous." Ying Ying said, looking a little awkward.

'I guess I was wrong, that's good. I should have more faith in Young Miss Jing! She wouldn't do such things!' Ying Ying thought in relief.
