I then went to the System log to see if there was something more. When I opened it is sawed that it was optimizing my traits. Then before I could follow what it was doing It finished and I got sent out of the white room.

Suddenly I opened my eyes as I felt something poke me near my eyes. I saw a big black beak pecking me. Then I noticed that I could see in a 360 degree and saw Emir sitting on a chair with a contemplative expression on his face. I also enabled my emotions to feel revealed and happy from getting freed from that sensory deprivation.

When he noticed my eyes open his eyes also went wide. I felt a tsunami of mana wash over me, which blinded my energy sense quite painfully. I felt as if someone was looking at me, like putting my every part into a high-power microscope and MRI at the same time. I felt like someone just violated me.

Then I heard Emir's voice in my head, "*Sigh* You are still in there. I thought you would turn into an Aberration when I saw that much ambient mana and Natura get involved in the Ritual. And I am very sorry that you had to even do a healing Ritual in the middle of the training. I had thought you would have known that the wound you had gotten wouldn't have threatened you because of your Traits and innate physic. I am also quite ashamed that I couldn't stop you before you activated the Ritual of Ascension. And I know that you thought that the ritual would only heal your wounds, that might have been true in your previous world but in this one that ritual and the 'Self' hold a whole different meaning." He went quiet after that, looking ashamed.

And he had guessed it right that I had used that same ritual in my previous world to heal myself when I had the ingredients necessary. I didn't use it a lot as I couldn't do rituals as easily as I do hear so I thought that it would be an easy healing Ritual but I guess this world is a lot more different in its rituals than I had previously thought. But before I could go into another tangent I opened my status and looked into what my new optimized Traits were.

Traits will work more synergistically. Physical and spiritual forms can remain separate without affecting each other. Multiple types of assimilated creature profiles, energy channels, minds, souls and biology will merge upon the host's acquisition. The host can change biological, energy and mechanical components of the body to other profiles with in-depth knowledge. Biological and mechanical parts of the body will not be seen as fully separate.

{Modulator}

The host can create enchanting modules based on the used ingredients' magical, spiritual and physical properties. Can only use materials and properties that the host has an affinity for and of the same or lower tier from the host. Can then insert the module into a compatible item to enchant it and transform it to better fit its properties. The module can then be extracted from the item but the item will be fundamentally damaged until the module is returned. A module can be destroyed using a bit of mana. You can store non-inserted modules into your Domain core.

{Adaptive}

Can adapt more easily and efficiently.

{Malleable}

The host can change more easily. This also affects skills and traits.

{Central Core}

This is the host’s main core. This will hold the host’s main conscience, soul and necessary components for recovery when in need. This is the manifestation of your Domain core and magic. This helps make Skills, Abilities, Traits and Titles make physiological changes. This will supply necessary energies to linked body parts and summons in a limited range.

{Assimilation}

The host may choose to assimilate one object or entity of the same or lower tier once per tier.

{Deconstructive Absorption}

The host will gain knowledge about the things the host deconstructs. This knowledge will be stored as a catalogue in a separate mind space that can be perused whenever the host wants. The Host can store any materials they eat in a separate pocket dimension that grows based on tier.

{Reconstruction}

The host can create anything of the same or lower tier of the host at the cost of mana and suitable ingredients. The item needs to have an in-depth profile for constructing it. The bigger and more complex the construction is, the more mana it will consume. Material cost can be subverted by paying a multiplicative mana cost and Natura cost.

I was a bit amazed at the new Traits. Mostly with the last one, if I can create almost anything at a cost I can just make valuable things to sell for free or even unlimited crafting ingredients! Truly a crafter's wet dream! But the (Deconstructive Absorption) trait confused me. Like what does it mean by deconstruction?

I tried to see if I had any blueprints in it and was surprised to find that there was one labelled, 'Lesser Nanite'. When I went to reconstruct it using my new trait I instinctively knew that it would be very pricey if I tried to make it without any ingredients that it needed. Then looked at what it will need so that I could create it. I was surprised that I just needed about 160 grams of tier 0 meat, 50 grams of copper, and 40 grams of chitin to make a cup of that type of nanite.

But before I went into another tangent I turned my focus on Emir and tried to project my voice at him as I felt that the telepathic link he had created was still going. I said, "What happened to my body? And can you explain what that Ritual did? And why would I get a Monster Core?" As I started to rapid-fire questions at him, he looked at me and smiled.

"When you started to manipulate your body into a rune I had thought that it would be a normal healing Ritual so I was going to you at a slow pace so as not to startle you. But when I heard you chanting I didn't think anything wrong until the last part. When I teleported over to you it was too late and the Ritual had begun. Then suddenly a Confluence of Nature started to funnel a large amount of energy into you. I had to set up a ward around you to regulate it so that you don't get oversaturated with energy.

And for your body, you seem to have not realized that when you came into this world only one of your cores was designated as your main body. So in the Ritual, it consumed the 'false' body to strengthen the 'true' one. And from the traits you have, you should be able to recreate a body given enough materials. And I know about your new Traits because you don't know how to fully regulate what you were sending through the tele-link." I was a bit embarrassed about that as I had thought the same thing about Noctaru the previous day.

"So what about the monster core?" I asked him. He put a finger to his chin and said, "Most likely it thought of you as an Awakened Monster as normal people don't have a core that houses our soul. That must be why it thought of you as a monster, but think of it as a positive! Now you will get even more effectiveness from your Domain core and Titles as your monster core will change your body more than it did before. And if you don't like the change you can dismiss it with your (Chimeric Form) trait." I nodded my head at his explanation. And asked him if he could get me the ingredients needed to create the nanites. He nodded his head and went somewhere.

I tried to look for Noctaru but saw that he was not in the room. So I checked my connection and found him concentrating on something so I let him be. I then remembered the new Achievement I got and opened its description.

Wow! At least I won't have to fear someone changing my body when I don't want to. Don't know when that will be helpful, but better to have too many defences than too little. In a couple of minutes, Emir came back and waved his hand on the table. In the wake of his hand, a bunch of materials popped up on the table. I tried to activate the trait while having the materials near but that didn't work. I got a feeling that I needed to eat all the needed material and store it in the pocket dimension for the trait to work.

I try to think of how I can eat all that meat and not to say the metals with my small body. I asked Emir if he could help with this, and he just smiled creepily and waved his hand at the things on the table. The materials started to turn liquid and move towards me, I just heard "Open Wide" before all the materials covered me. I quickly opened my mouth as wide as it could open, which was a lot based on its small size. Then I felt I had more mouths I could open so I also opened those. The liquid gushed into my mouths and disappeared shortly after.

When the flood of foodstuff ended I tried to feel how much of my dimensional stomach was full, it felt like it was halfway there. I looked into the absorption catalogue to see if something new was there and found that I could make tier 0 meat, chitin, and copper with the (Reconstruction) trait. But I kept with my plan and made one batch of the 'Lesser Nanite'.

When I activated the trait to make the nanites a part of my core started to shimmer and from there a stream of scarlet poured out. I immediately felt like one of my arms which was asleep for a long time finally woke up. After about 5 seconds the stream stopped and the pool of nanites covered my entire body in a thin but opaque film. When it also blocked my sight I was annoyed and thought if the nanites could move out of the way. And the nanites cleared from my point of view.

I tried to find what these nanites could do and found myself ending up in the absorption catalogue where the profile of the lesser nanite is. I then found out from the profile that these can link together to form limbs and other body parts and they can individually eat a material to store it. I can even use them as an extension of my body!

*Ehm* I heard in my mind. I look over and see Emir standing on the side of the table. "Can you move around?" He asked. I gave him a mental shrug and tried to move around. The nanites made tendrils and started to move around like an octopus, but it had three short tentacles, and those tentacles were brain-dead worms. To say it out loud I was very slow. But I knew if I had a profile with some limbs the nanites could morph into that. I relayed that to Emir who nodded his head and exited the room.

After a couple of minutes, Emir came back with a small green spider suspended in a sphere of water. I heard him say in my head, "I have a live tier-1 baby mottle spider as I didn't find any tier-0 bugs that you could absorb. And mottle spiders are the fastest bugs that couldn't kill you right now. And I would like to see if your nanites can kill this sedated one and consume it." I nodded my head mentally and to my surprise, the nanites made my core nod as well!

He dropped the marble of water carrying the spider in front of me where it popped and the baby spider started moving around slowly like a drunk. I quickly told the nanites to kill it. Most of the nanites flowed out and circled the creature. Then they rushed the spider and covered its joints and eyes. The spider started to flail around as the nanites started to eat into it. In just a minute there was nothing left of the spider and I also found out that when the nanites eat something it goes into the pocket dimension and I also gain the profile from them eating the thing.

I confirmed that I didn't have the profile fully completed but the legs had enough details that my nanites could make three poor-quality spider legs. And I now also know why there are called lesser, because they are shitty at whatever I tell them to do. They couldn't even copy the spider legs to the quality I had the profile of.

I tried to move on the legs and found that I could move faster than before but they were clumsy.
