[Anavrit POV]

“At last you wake up!” I hear a voice say. I feel that I am lying on a bed, it looks like the bedding is some kind of moss, but it’s super comfy. I try to remember what happened, then it comes to me. The system, the Otherworld, the world inside of me, not being able to use {Modulator}, Emir, then creating that Skill to get my emotions back, the physical Skill to change my body more. I start to ask myself how have been this calm? Why am I not thinking how I got here? What is going on? I start to spiral while curling up as I think about what has happened to me the previous day.

Suddenly I feel a soothing warmth spread throughout me. I start to calm down. I look up to see what happened when I see Emir looking at me with a sad smile, I feel that the general emotion of the room is a bit sombre.

“Now don’t go into a panic attack, I have taught many people, and seen many things. So talk to me what is bothering you.” Emir says slowly with a small smile. I nod my head, “What is happening? How am I here? Why did I not think about these things before? Why did I go along with whatever was happening and not question it?” I felt another soothing wave wash over me and I began to calm down. I look at him for some answers.

“Breath boy. Slowly take in and slowly out.” When he said that I noticed that I was not breathing. I try to breathe in a hurry, then I take in his words and start to slow down. I then look at him for some answers, while trying to keep calm.

“Haa..! The System makes every Otherworlder more dull to mental trauma and hyperemotions. This is so that after the System has reconstituted their body and they wake up near the dimensional instability they don’t panic and get eaten by wildlife. This effect should start to slowly wear off after 1 day of full power and this slowly gets milder but it takes about 21 days give or take, for it to fully subside. In this time they should be able to come to terms with the reality of their situation and can move on. But sometimes this effect can stick permanently if the Otherworlder makes a Skill with the same effect in any way or form. But the opposite is not always true only if your physical brain is changed to do the opposite of the effect will it almost instantly wear off. I didn’t think that your physical Skill would make changes to your brain in the direction of making emotions stronger. When you made your mind Skill I thought you wanted to mute your emotions more naturally so I didn’t give it too much thought but I should have warned you from making that kind of Skill. I will keep a calming spell on you for a day and slowly turn it down throughout this day, take your time and meditate for a while.” I now notice that the calm sensation is not going away.

I tried to do as he said. I lay down on my bed to meditate, the "sitting in a specific position" type of meditation never worked for me 'cause whenever I go into deep meditation my body just goes limp. I try to get a hold of my emotions as I try to restrain myself from spiralling again, the spell is working great. Just as I concentrate a little I feel my emotions dull, I startle a little bit but realise that it is likely from my Skills.

I try to look over the past day or so. I remember my encounter with that assassin girl. The numbness and itching of the venom. I started to think about what I could have done better. I thought of the time when the System asked me what to do with the venom could I have assimilated it? Like this, I thought about what I could have done better during the whole time or what would come now. During this I slowly started to bring out my emotions for a little while, then stopped my emotions and reviewed that thought again. I saw that there is indeed a variation in the thought process, when I have my emotions on I am more creative and empathetic while with the emotions off I become more cynical and calculative. These could be great things if used correctly or me going a very different path, I don’t know how I like this but I need to move on.

I open my eyes and see a raven-like creature perched on the head of a chair eating small slices of hogu fruit from a plate. Its feathers were not quite void black and shined with tiny pinpricks of light, it had slight wisps of smoky darkness with twinkling glitter on the edges of its wings and tail. Its tail was also a bit peculiar as it was like a cat’s tail with end sprouting tail feathers, making it quite long. Its tail wagging in quite fluidity as it ate the fruit. I look at its face to see its beak part in four ways rather than the normal two as it picks up a piece of fruit and eats it. It has two glowing purple eyes that looked feline in nature and an extra eight small eyes that had a slight pale white glow in a crown around its head. It suddenly looked at me and I knew who this was. “Noctaru!” I say in almost a whisper, astonished at the physical change.

I reach for the mind connection with Noctaru to see its condition. As I connect I feel that Noctaru's mind is way more expansive now than before. “Hello! Summoner!”

I suddenly hear in my mind. I startle from hearing it. “How did this happen to you?”

“Don’t know! After you gave me the name the natura changed me.” It said in a bit of a cawing accent.

“I am not an 'it'. Though this body doesn’t have any gender most of my soul is made of the spiritual residue of male creatures so I am a 'he'.” I am surprised at his new intelligence. I see him puff up a bit from pride and chuckled, I told him to resume his meal. I look around to see if Emir is nearby. Not seeing him I bring up my status to see how my mana and health are doing. But before I could open my status I see that some notifications are waiting for me.

I see that my mind and body skills went up five levels in just this bit of time. I try to look at the description of the new Achievement.

Knowing or not you have given a True Name to someone or something. A True Name is a Legacy that will only grow. Now the one you Name will know you and you will know them.

Effect – The Names you give will have more weight even if they are not True. You will know if someone is Named by you.

Many call a Familiar their family or friend and yours will be with you from the very beginning just like a family.

Effect – your connection to your Familiar will be strengthened. You will know each other conditions health conditions. Even if your Familiar dies it can be resurrected as its soul is now bound to yours.

Really! How did you do that must be luck or some really specific and very rare circumstance. Who knows!?

I think about how the last Achievement, it says Nature likes me, which is likely the result of my affinity and mark, but it now says that Mana is also looking at me. Looks like something I need to ask Emir like a lot of things. Really! Don’t even know the man for more than some hours and already depending on him. I shake my head and look around.

It looks like a bedroom. Just like the previous room, its walls are bark, but the floor and ceiling are moss. The moss on the ceiling is even glowing neon blue. But it isn’t illuminating the room much. The main light source is the glowing orb affixed to the ceiling in the middle of the room. The room is sparse in the furnishing. It only has one bed, a study desk that is right against the bed and works as a bedside table, a wooden chair and a closet set by the far door. I see that this room also has two doors. One must be for exit and entry and the other for the bathroom.

I then notice a slight glow coming from behind me. I look behind to see a big window to the outside. Outside I see a small garden filled with many types of plants below and across from me are only the green and brown canopies of various trees. I see the red sun setting in the sea of leaves. I am amazed at the sight. It was just like that day when I found myself in tattered clothing lying on a thick branch of a giant tree. Not knowing what was going on and then suddenly remembering the accident and fighting. I had curled up on myself, then the verdant panther had come to comfort me. I was frightened at first but slowly calmed down. When I looked across the tree I had seen almost the same sight but then it was the dawn. Then was the beginning of my true struggle on Earth but it looks like that has come to an end. As I keep looking the sets and night begins.

Just as I am about to turn around I hear a flapping of wings and see Noctaru land on my shoulder pointing at the horizon with his wing. I look out to see a breathtaking sight of four moons rising in the sky. One giant moon is surrounded by three smaller moons in a triangle formation. The moon in the centre is a deep purple moon and the surrounding three are blue, green and silver.

“It seems that as one book closes the starts,” I whisper entranced in the beauty. Then Noctaru caws near my ear startling me. I see him now pointing his head at the other bowl of fruit that is sitting on the table. I shake my head and chuckle. Just like when I went home with the rescue and wouldn’t want to eat, Lyla would always nudge me until I ate. Just like then I would have had picked a book to read while eating, I picked the book of magic theories and go to the chapter about basic magic and started to read while eating.
