Chapter 6

[Lucas POV]

“Sorry for making you wait!”

“You’re the Lord?”

“Yeah!”

“Umm…”

“My name is Lucas Arthurias I am glad to meet you!”

“!!!”

The two men in front of me immediately kneeled.

“Uhh– you may stand. You don’t need to do that I have already relinquished my succession rights and title.”

“I apologize for our discourtesy.”

“Apology accepted.”

I lead them to my house so we can talk more privately. I served them minor dragon meat which made them pale.

For commoners, even the wealthy ones, it would be impossible even to taste minor dragons, they are usually served to nobles of count rank and higher.

“You see we have a surplus of minor dragon meat, so I was hoping to sell them to you.”

“Instead could you sell the dragons themselves?”

“The dragons?”

“Yes, give me a week, I will get a caravan ready.”

“Oh before that I need money so please sell these too.”

I gave them a 60x60x100 cm box.

The two fainted upon taking a glimpse of it.

.

.

.

In the end, I only gave them a third of the box, they reasoned that an influx of gemstones in the market would cause a lot of problems it would endanger not just them but also this village. The lower the number of gemstones the harder it will be to track.

The author's content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

I also gave them some stone swords, hopefully, they will be able to sell those too. I told them that I would buy any slaves in Romwell and other nearby villagers since I needed to expand my population fast. Kara, the village head has told me that there is a labor shortage in the village. Please bring some metal!

The two of them did not have enough storage for the wooden blocks I wanted to sell so I only gave them one sample to market. The adventurers have also left to accompany the two, leaving the village with 4 knights and 70 personnel we have trained in 4 months.

Some of the adventurers were crying though. So I gave them some wooden armor so they won’t be sad.

I expect them to return in a week or so since they have to head to the regional capital to sell those gemstones.

“We need to prepare housing, please gather the materials.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

I made 20 more housing, but this time I moved it outside the village walls.

Now the town can hold around 2000 residents, I made sure to do it slowly, I don’t want to over-construct.

I made the main boulevard that leads to the plaza. I modified the inner walls to a star-shaped one. Now have 6 entrances instead of 4. Reasoning? It just looks fucking cool.

I extended the road up to a kilometre, in the future I want to improve the highway system so Rowan can easily come and go to the village.

I then made some ballistas to line the walls, using wood and stone as ammo. I also made a few graphene-coated diamond 3-meter ammo for the ballistas just in case.

The farm was expanded near the lake after I finished making the walls outside, now my people can be safe while farming.

I made a government building in the inner walls where we could discuss stuff, and Sebas insisted on it. While Cynthia told me that my house should be bigger since I would have to welcome nobles and other important people.

I complied and made one. A two-story house using European architecture though one made out of wood. As for windows, I made them from ordinary diamonds. I coated everything in graphene. If it weren’t for the bandits stashing these we wouldn’t have catalysts.

I love carbon.

I then worked on the sewers, the boulevards were lined by the main pipes, which all lead to the southern pipe, which purifies the water before discharging into the river south of the village.

The waste was kept in separate tanks that would allow it to decompose properly. I made openings so it can be harvested for future use.

The training center was positioned East, for no particular reason other than Ian wanted it.

In the south, I planned to have the manufacturing district and maybe commercial.

I’d like to reserve some land in the North for a University, but for now I will just do some general schooling. I assigned Sebas to teach my people there. Required everyone to study, for children they are to study during the day, for the rest they will study after work.

I intend to make everyone capable of reading and writing to some degree.

“Now it won’t be a problem if I leave you guys,” I said while thinking of going to school in 3 years.

I could see some villagers bawl, some immediately studied harder. I guess they’re happy to learn.

I spent my time making things we could sell and improving the lives of the villagers.
