By the end of the day, I was able to cover the entirety of the village with sturdy walls. In addition to that, I created 4 gates from the villages’ north, south, west, and east direction.

The walls were 0.5 meters thick and 6 meters high, in the future I’ll upgrade it to a more efficient shape and ensure that there are at least 6 meters of platform and 30 meters tall wall, this will do for now.

I used a turtle, my favorite animal as the sigil. In a few years, I will no longer be a prince thus the Royal family’s sigil is not something I will be allowed to use anyway.

Why a turtle? Because it protects itself first before anything else. Something I can relate to.

Cynthia and the adventurers should arrive tomorrow at noon, so for now we should serve food hunted by the knights to the villagers. They need nutrition, stat.

“Sebas your magic is beautiful! Teach it to me!”

“You have no affinity with magic and your mana is too low to cast any useful magic.”

Long ago I used to love a woman.

She had silver hair and golden eyes. We grew up in the same village and eventually became friends with one another. I came to love her, her beauty and elegance.

I worked hard to study and do magic so that I could eventually provide for her.

She eventually worked as a maid, and I was a butler to the same family. I dreamt of eventually marrying her. But alas that cannot be. She fell for the King of the country as did the king to her. It broke my heart to see her with another man yet I loved her nonetheless.

“After His Majesty?”

“Yeah, I hope he grows up as strong as him too! So he’ll be safe.”

“I see…”

“That’s why I want you to protect him, Sebas… I… can’t do that.”

“You and your husband should do that.”

“His Majesty… he loves someone else now…”

“Word is he has taken a new concubine. The Queen accepted her due to being a Count’s daughter. Hopefully, this child won’t grow up in hardship.”

“Then you better be strong for that child, Milady— Sophia.”

A few months later, Lady Sophia died during childbirth.

“In accordance with his mother’s wish, he shall be named His Royal Highness Lucas Arthurias, 6th Prince of Arthurias.”

I hated that child with all my heart.

The child grew up healthily, he inherited his mother’s silver hair and golden eyes, not at all resembling his majesty’s golden hair and red eyes. Yet I still saw him as the one who murdered my beloved no different from the King who abandoned her, no worse than that King.

Well until… “Sebas! your magic is beautiful! teach me!”

A smile began to etch on my face.

“I will do that best I can Your Highness.”

I will serve no other but Luke Arthurias.

[Cynthia POV]

“Miss Cynthia, I think we are lost.”

An adventurer called out to me. I gazed in the direction he pointed at. I grinned in amusement.

“His Highness has done something weird again.”

“Pardon?”

“We’ll continue, that is the village.”

“What?”

The adventurers said simultaneously.

“Cynthia.” The Prince greeted me with a smile and hugged me.

“Your Highness, we have returned with food and clothing.”

“That’s great! Everyone has been healed already, but we need to get their nourishment up.”

Behind the prince are peasants who cannot believe what he just said. Even the adventurers behind me were unable to comprehend what was happening.

Most Lords wouldn’t even bat an eye if an entire village vanished due to starvation, most would migrate to the nearest town. But a noble, a prince no less who is just 12 years old, prioritizing the people over himself is unheard of.

You have no idea how much precedence you are starting your highness.

“Sebas also finished the compilation, I have reviewed its contents and have laid out the plans regarding it.”

“Understood, Your Highness.”
