She was walking alongside David, I was about to say hi, but did not as I saw the manner in which they were holding. Hand in hand and looking at each other without a care about the world all around.
As I was trailing them, I had a hard time controlling my anger. I mean how could she.
Just as I was about to go and ask them what's this all about, I saw them head inside a hotel.
I stayed in front of the main door wondering what to do now. I grabbed my phone and texted her an innocent text where she is and what she's doing.
About five minutes later I had my answer.
'Oh, I went to Jessica and we're about to go shopping. How about you, darling? 😘' Reading that I felt my blood boil I went to one of the side alleys. There I sat on the cold hard floor, phone clenched in hand.
'Well, I just finished my shift. :) How about I come join your shopping 😉.' I felt a building sickening feeling in my stomach as I wrote.
'I think now's not a good time. Jessica and I want to have it as a girl ride.' she wrote and I knew I've had enough.
'I think we should break up' I felt myself tipping it, each character filling me up with more indifference.
And just as I posted it, I got a response.
'Ok.' she wrote.
No, why? Or even let's talk about this. But just a simple confirmation of the fact. As if we were never dating, as if all the time we spent with each other was but an illusion. Perhaps it was for her, just
I let out a healthy laugh, not minding the passerby.
I just couldn't believe I ever cared about her. At that moment I felt truly free.
I got myself up from the ground and got back to the dorm.
I had an exam two days later. So, I picked out all the books I would need and started learning in the living room. Of course, not before cleaning a place for myself because my fantastic roommates didn't do shit while I was out.
But what can I do, it's not like I have the money to afford the rent for an apartment all by myself. Maybe I should look for some garage I can sleep at.
I let the hours fly by as I did my things, only to hear the turning of the door handle. From the front door came David.
He didn't bother hiding the lipstick that was left on his neck neither the grin on his face. He spared me but a glance as he looked at me as if I was beneath him and went to his room not before getting something from the fridge.
I continued doing my thing for another two hours, as I saw there was no point in discussing anything. After hunger took over me, I took some bread and ham from the kitchen before going to my room, lest I have to bear having dinner with them.
I booted up my pc and started my search of the garage deep into the night.

A rugged looking man with a hood over his head could be seen running as fast as his god given pair of legs can take him. He navigated through ruins of what looked to be a kingdom long lost in time.
All of this was underground with pillars of stone making sure the ceiling won't fall. Fall it was trying to, as a group of men and women, with animal characteristics chased behind the man. Slashing with their axes and polearms into the pillars and other ruins.

The man dodged another attack that was coming his way, this time it was a thrown axe that got embedded into the wall next to him. Bringing with it wind it took of the man's hood revealing Nick.
"Fuck me, can we talk this through? I know that I kind of did invade your holy ground or whatever your little gathering was. But there's no need for so much aggression." He said as a polearm came flying at him cutting off his path to an alley to the right, only grunts followed in response to his words.
He didn't pay it much mind and continued on the path to the left. It was an alley with spikes beneath the floor, it could be seen through the small coverage of leaves.
Sprinting as fast as he could he leapt of at the last minute from the floor and managed to hold himself on the wall of the alley. He made his way up the wall and started his cat walk across it.
Thankfully after a while of swinging his hips he arrived at the end of the wall and leapt on top off one of the buildings, not before one of the chasing enemies thrown a dagger into the door he was about to open.
"Thanks, I'll be taking this. I'll be sure to return it someday. Just-" He didn't even finish his words before an axe was heading for his head. He stepped away from the door and watched it turn to smithereens.
"I'll keep in mind your warning." Nick said and rushed through the ruined town.
[You know sooner or later you'll run out of stamina. The end of that you can imagine.]
"Yes, I can. Any idea how to overcome that end."
[Now, you're going to listen to me?]
"Well, I listened to you, always. It must be you taking it the wrong way."
[I'm taking it the wrong way?!] Telno said with some anger in her slightly robotic voice.
Nick dodged another attack whilst jumping from roof to roof. Waiting for an answer that he felt might never come he spoke.
"Of course. It's me that's taking it the wrong way. It was just a little joke. " He chuckled, trying to play it off. "How about we forget that and focus on what's important."
[Well, here in the Hell difficulty tutorial Dungeon there are only a few safe places. But most of them would require you getting rid of the chasing enemies.]
"Any alternatives?"
[Sure, but it might not be to your liking.]
"I'll manage. Anything's better than possibly ending up as someone's dinner." He dodged a mana arrow that was coming for him before shouting. " Yeah, I'm talking about you. Have a problem?"
[What about you don't provoke them? By the way take right now and look in the corner of your eye.] In the corner of Nick's eye, a waypoint got clear on his Map just above a hole of some sort.
"Can they understand me?"
[No, but they can feel a slight intent and emotion behind your voice.]
"Whoa so they are emphatic." He said as he dodged another spear coming at him.
[Do you feel that way?]
"No." He said as he leapt off the last building and sprinted to the hole. Just before jumping down, he stopped.
"You have to be kidding me. I can't even see the bottom."
[Don't worry I kid you not. You'll survive this.]
He didn't have to be persuaded even. As what gave him a final push was a mana arrow that impacted him. He could steal a glance at the figure that hurled that attack at him.

Nick tumbled through the overgrown weeds and roots of the trees. Them being the sole reason he didn't end up as a pancake on the ground, falling eighty meters. Although it did give him some small cuts here and there, but that was nothing in view of the gaping hole he got gifted by the shaman.
"Motherfucker, what have I done to suffer this?" He said as he writhed on the ground.
[If you don't remember you've tumbled there when the Shaman was going through a ritual of Empowerment.]
"Is it really that serious?"
[Yeah, it is. By stopping it his God got angry and took a certain price from him. A piece of his power back. If that wasn't the case you'd be pierced by that mana arrow.]
"Then let them communicate it with each other."
Hearing that Telno was speechless, meanwhile Nick took out bandages from his inventory and got to work, he stabilized his health on orange colour.
"Now to get my revenge." He said as he started walking away.

In one of the Dungeons a similar sight was taking place of a man being pursued. But the difference being of the state the man was in his hair bloody. Hand missing while a pack of wolves further behind was feasting on it.
They weren't paying attention to him and his tries of escaping. Yet he continued, by some inner power that was fuelling him he came into the centre of the Dungeon.
Finding there, the Core of the Dungeon. A construct of Chaos energy trapping it within the Dungeon. It pulsed as the human step by step came closer.
[If you, but touch it you'll be dead. Turned into something that's not human, not living in the true sense as I've told you before. You'll become a meat blob.]
"I am a meat blob right now. I don't need your useless reminders it doesn't change the outcome of the situation."
[Why not try fighting back.]
"Give me a break. You saw how that turned out." He said and laughed in self-deprecation.
[I can't let that happen.] Before he could do anything, his body released his mana, drawing in the wolves.
"You all give me no chance." He said and jumped into the Core.
A shriek of pain was heard before the Dungeon returned to calmness. The sole memory of what happened here being the leftover bloodstains.
