"Quite the performance you did in the mine." Paul said as he sat across from Nick. On top of his head [Chaos Human] was visible, similar to the other prisoners.
They were seated once again at the lunch tables. Enjoying their meals after a shift in the mines.
"I couldn't resist."
"Do you, have it?"
"Yes, I do."
"What's the thousand miles stare about? It got worse since the last time I saw you."
"It's nothing. Just met your counterpart. He was a huge bitch and sadist if I say so myself."
"By what I'm hearing you didn't have a great time."
Nick saw as none of the guards were looking their way and passed the few wires under the table to Paul. He pocketed it before saying.
"Nice. Just what I need."
"Then what's the plan?"
"Oh right, you still don't know it." Nick just stared at him. "Right, right. So, I'm going to unlock these handcuffs with the wires and do so preferably for everyone else in the section. Then we fight our way out. Simple as that."
"I regret signing up for this shit."
"You didn't sign up, you were imprisoned. A difference in having a choice and none."
Nick took a few deep breaths trying to calm himself down and not hit him lest he enjoys it.
"You know that the handcuffs have runes on them."
"Yes, but all the same they have keyholes."
"Have you thought that there would be some magic. I don't know, like they'll know if we unlock them."
"No worries. The riot guards will only come down here in three minutes. Plenty of time to unlock most of the people."
"How do you know?"
"There were some attempts at breaking out. They're stricter with us now."
"What happened to them?"
"Gutted at the Beam. Left to rot for the week." A man, with [Chaos Reaver] said as he sat next to Paul at the table. Nick looked to Paul as if to see if he knows him.
"This bastard is otherwise known as Zach. He's our partner in breaking out. He'll make sure we know our way out."
"And how is he going to do that."
"I've been here since the very beginning. It was me who was managing the construction of the first section. But I ended up this way."
"That's quite a fall. Mind explains that a bit."
"Why not. After all quite a lot of inmates would tell you anyway." He took a sip of the drink that they got along the food. Some cheap drink with slightly bitter taste if any at all.
"So, I made enough contributions from the Tutorial and doing tasks making me a commander. I had a choice so I picked a role here in the city. It went well for a while. Until one day I was betrayed by my men and my second in command. They took me into the Dungeon and into the core. Meanwhile Telno didn't say anything throughout the whole thing."
"Quite unfortunate. But why did they let you live if you know so much?"
"Maybe figured that letting me live would be a worse fate than simple death." He said as he revealed his side of the stomach. There was a dark hole stretching outward, crawling along his skin, reaching his shoulders.
"Nasty wound. Chaos energy doesn't heal that?"
"Unfortunately, that's no wound, but a curse. If it was something so simple it would be healed in no time." Zach said as he carefully put down the prisoner uniform back, making sure not to aggravate it.
"So, that's he's our way out?" Nick turned to Paul.
"More or less yes. Don't sweat the details, most of them will be taken into account in the process. You just have to make sure while I'm unlocking everybody. To look out for the guards and kill them if they get too close."
"Yeah, so tell me the whole plan then. So, I don't go in blind expecting everything to magically work out."

They discussed the rest of the plan while the plan itself will take place in one week when everything's prepared.

A week later Nick was meditating in his cell. The constant screaming and shouting did nothing to break his concentration.
Inside his body two streams of energy were rotating. They were his Chaos cores, from one of them energy was constantly being drawn out while the other remained unseen.

His race underwent a transformation thanks to the Chaos energy that was repairing his body day by day. Be it not for such violent means, his transformation would take more time.
When suddenly the door to his cell opened. Inside stepped Captain Hans with his entourage of guards.
"Wakey, wakey princess. Another day and another dose of vitamins to start it off with." He said with the sick smile adoring his face as he activated the electric impulse. Having learned from the previous few times.
They then brought in the familiar capsules and the administration begun. For the next ten minutes Nick's occasional screams reverberated through the whole sixth section. Other than his screaming, nothing but the silence reigned in the section.
"A resilient one you are. From tomorrow onward we're going for thirty minutes. Hope you'll like that."
Nick saw as once they packed their things, they went out dragging him down out. The shift was about to start and the stones won't mine themselves.
Down there were the prisoners already prepared and lined up. Bringing immeasurable joy to Hans.
"This is what I mean by discipline." He came to one of the prisoners and kicked him into the stomach. He fell to his knees while coughing up blood on Hans’s trousers.
Hans didn't take that well as he put his foot on the prisoner's head and with a soft pop, exploded it like a watermelon.
"What an unsightly being, ruining my clothes. You see this, Nick. Were it not for your value for the system you'd have the same fate."
"Then I should be grateful." Nick replied with a smile and got a smile in return from Hans.
They dropped him off like a sack of potatoes on the ground and tied him to one of the lines of prisoners. As usual they were then taken to the mine.
"If I didn't know better I would guess it was you who has masochism." Paul said as he saw the guards go into the beam.
"Oh, fuck off."
"But I didn't come here for this. The time has come. We prepared everything we could." He said as he slipped out the makeshift lock picking gear and started picking Nick's handcuffs.
But just then one of the prisoners turned to them and started screaming.
"Guar-!" He had no chance to finish as Nick took him down with a swift arm lock around his neck.
Paul unlocked his handcuffs and leg cuffs, yet as he tried getting himself out the restraints didn't budge. The magic runes activated on them.
The scream of the prisoner didn't matter because of the alarm that sounded out from the beam. The guards soon started rushing from there.
"We're fucked Nick. Our bodies will be hanged in the canteen." Paul said as he dropped to his knees.
Nick ignored everything around himself even as the guards came and started beating them with batons. He concentrated on the Chaos energy within himself. Condensing the second chaos orb within himself, he allowed all of the energy to come out.
In a big wave it swept the guards away, throwing them into the walls. Meanwhile thanks to the release of Chaos energy his shackles came off.
"Paul come here and let me help you."
"For sure my guy."
When Nick got Paul's cuffs off, Paul headed and helped the others.
"Use your Chaos energy to unlock them or any kind of sudden impulse and they'll go off."
"Kay."
Meanwhile Nick grabbed two pickaxes, and went to the beam. There was already the next batch of five guards coming their way.
Before they could even get to him, he threw one pickaxe at them. Nailing the guard in the head as he was sprinting towards him. The body slid all the way towards him.
But he had no chance to retrieve the pickaxe as the guards rushed at him. A quick slice of the backside of the pickaxe was all it took to finish all four of them. It was nothing more than the work of his bladed intent.
Just then another batch of guards was going out this time there was more than ten of them.
"Nick, we have to secure our way to the top or else we'll be swarmed down here." Zach said as he came beside Nick, together with him Paul.
"What about the prisoners. There's not much of them free."
"Don't worry about them. We made sure to give them the tools to get out more prisoners. They'll be all free in a minute. Now let's go."
Not going to further argue Nick rushed into the beam. Nailing the guards that were on the stairs onto the walls.
When Nick was about to step foot into the sixth section a kick came to his chest nailing him into the wall, cracking it in the process.
"Look who's causing trouble." Captain Hans called out as he retracted his leg. "I'm very disappointed in you. I thought that I'll be able to have some more fun with you. But you chose to die."
"The one dying today will be you, cunt." Nick said as he spit out the blood in his mouth and walked towards Hans.
Paul and Zach ran and engaged the other guards while the other prisoners followed as they poured out the beam. All the people tacitly left a circle for Nick and Hans to battle.
"Don't make me laugh. Perhaps the role of being the Chaos Lord got to your head. But right now, you're no more than a Chaos Human. A mere Bronze rank."
"You're talking like you're above me."
"That's because I am. Sorry, I forgot you lost the grace of the system. I'm a Space Human ranked Silver." He arched his head behind as if expecting some dramatic reaction.
But nothing of that sort happened as Nick sent a blade intent through the air. Seeing it collided with Hans, but the expected blood did not come out instead. A small mana barrier got visible around the places where the intent was about to hit.
It withstood all of the power, showing only small cracks on it.
"That's quite rude. Cutting someone off when they were about to say something. Let me teach you some manners." Hans brought his arm before him and aiming with his fingers, for a few seconds, pointed at Nick.
Nick sensed something wrong, a cold breath on his neck as he dodged to the side. Beside him passed a thin space crack. it travelled right to the beam and passed through the left side of it.
Nick looked on as the left side got absolutely demolished while the three prisoners that were going out got their heads cut off.
Nick at that moment realised that perhaps he bitten off more than he could chew.
