My Dungeon of Terror
18 - Fifth Floor Guardian?

18 - Fifth Floor Guardian?

“Do you know what you have done?!” Roared a man who was in his sixties and in a fancy robe that you can see on all wizards.

The robe had two red lines going down from the neck in the middle to the bottom.

This long robe not only gave great protection to the wearer but also enchanted their physical capabilities and raised their maximum mana capacity.

Many people would be envious of this robe and would kill for one, but the person who wears it doesn’t care about his robe but what these people did.

They caused significant losses to his guild in that amount of money and reputation that could buy several robes of this caliber.

They failed the most important thing for them, and they could barely stand as the other guilds put all the blame on them for failing this raid and letting the mutated dungeon grow even more.

He did not care about the dungeon at all as he was level 55. A powerhouse among humans, even though not at the top of humanity, he was the backbone at least.

But now because of these failures, he lost everything he built up over the years.

“Bring them away!” He waved toward the guards as he turned around, and he could only painfully swallow his decision.

“Dad, you cannot do this to me! I am your only son!” One of the people cried out as he said this while screaming towards the man in the robe.

“I have no son.” You can hear his hoarse voice, and if you looked at this time at his face, he is crying.

His decision likely will result in his son's death, but what can he do? His son destroyed everything he built up over the years.

As the guards left with the people who were the raid leaders, he collapsed into the chair as all his strength left his legs.

“Just what did I do to deserve such a fate?” The man in the robe could only look up at the sky as he asked it in a hoarse voice, trying to find his answer, but only silence answered his prayers.

In a room, several people are seated around a round table, each looking more menacing and older as you look around.

“With Arnold's failure, we need to create another raid group, but this time all guilds must use their best personnel as the military is aiming at us with their greedy eyes.” Said a woman in her seventies, the age is already shown on her body as grey hair was visible, but no one dared to call her ugly, otherwise, you would know the wrath of a level 62 Pyromancer.

{People age slower the higher their levels are.}

“Easy to say, but who will bring everything out? No one can trust each other here.” Said another man as he casually moved a ball between his hands.

“Hmph! This is the reason the military targeted us, because of our differences. You all need to grow up and act like adults.” The old woman was not satisfied with how others acted.

“You tell us to act like adults? You who has the nickname of matchstick.” Said another person under his breath, but everyone could hear it, but not pinpoint who said it clearly as the voice came from every direction.

“What did you call!?” Soon the old woman flared up as fire started appearing around her and her hair turned crimson.

No one came forward, as everyone knows how poisonous she is. She might lose, but she will hold a grudge for a long time.

“Enough of this childish play. Everyone bring half of their best person and the best equipment for their use, and I will grant them my relic.” Said another old person who once spoke, making everyone quiet.

Everyone silently accepted the old man's terms, but they were shocked that a relic was being used for a dungeon of that level, it was a total waste.

But they knew what was on the table, and they must succeed in it.

Giving up is not an option.

So they must prepare.

As I was thinking about what monster I should create for the Fifth Floor Guardian, soon I had an idea that previously went past it.

As I went to the Fifth Floor, there were no humans, and hardly any came into the dungeon after the raid.

Most stayed on the Third Floor, and a few went around the Fourth Floor.

As I created the monster, I imagined a huge humanoid monster made out of crystals that each emitted purplish light and dark fog around them.

Looking at it can confuse people as its existence was chaotic.

As I created it, soon something was not right as I created it. I felt someone was watching me as I created the monster, and I felt it was smirking at me and amused by what I was doing.

This formed a black gas that went around me as it moved on its own. It went around the floor, curious about everything.

I tried to control it, but without a chance, it seemed to find something interesting once it saw the centipede as it was put into a jar that was around my neck so I could always keep a look at it.

Soon the black gas entered the jar into the centipede.

The centipede broke free from the jar as it thrashed around, and it fell into the ocean. At this time the giant I created absorbed this black gas and changed.

I felt something was off as I left the floor.

The floor started changing from what it was originally. The monsters in the Floor all gained bizarre looks but kept all their skills and stats, but their look changed from the original normal to grotesque monsters.

But all of them gained a new trait.

Trait Child of ??? Description

These lost children wandering the world without purpose have been recreated and reborn into a much more wonderful entity. They gain ??? a devolved version of the skill, which causes them to cause a random negative effect for each of their attacks this ranges from sacred to demonic with stronger spells having a lesser chance of appearing, but everything is possible.

You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.

Looking at the trait, I was shocked and awed too.

Soon I used the dungeon to take a glance at the giant that I created. As it was made out of crystals, it changed to a flesh monster with flesh hanging around its body as it served no purpose.

But what shocked me was the Guardian.

I tried to find the centipede that got engulfed in the ocean, but something blocked me from looking into the ocean.

Nothing came to my mind that is capable of blocking a Dungeon Lord from being able to see everything on his floor.

Looking at the floor as it changed in my clear view.

The floor changed from the scorching sun to a constant thunderstorm.

Even the floor specialty that was created has changed.

Instead of the mirage that I created, it turned it tribulation of the mind. Every hour for being on the Floor the person will receive a random debuff jsut like before it can be anything.

But soo ni felt someone is watching me as I looked at the crystalized flesh giant that rosen from the water and stands around 70 meter in height. (229,65 ft)

When looking around the floor, I saw an eye glancing at me when I looked at the ocean as if it was watching my every movement with great interest.

Soon a system window popped up in front of me.

Your 'Dungeon Lord' title has been changed to 'Dungeon Lord of Fractured Realm'.

The description did not change, but the name only, but I felt something changing in the whole dungeon as if something empowered it.

I could suck in cold breath as my whole dungeon started shaking once my title changed to Dungeon Lord.

Every creature in my dungeon gained a special trait.

Trait Chaos First Order Description

Consuming the flesh of monsters will enhance the user with the consumed monster flesh, but this only applies to monsters outside the dungeon. This grants permanent strength to the user until their deformation which results in the user self-destruction.

But this wasn’t everything, as the outside world was shocked by what changed and caused turmoil in the whole world.

I just couldn’t wrap my brain around why this happened at all, no matter how much my 2 brain cells worked.

Just the monsters in my dungeon felt more aggressive, and those monsters that originally got into my dungeon and somehow are still alive.

{As I stated, all monsters from Maniacs are treated as invaders, so they are not required to hunt down for the Guardian to appear.}

None of them were left alive as they were massacred by all other monsters.

I wanted to revert it and stop all of this, but I started thinking, why should I? Isn’t this better for me?

I want to enjoy my happiness, and I don’t care about others at all.

But those eyes left me frustrated, and the guardian made me curious about what would happen, so I could only wait for the raiders to come in and test it for me.

Outside the dungeon before the change.

You can see many people moving around, preparing their equipment, and checking the site. Nothing is happening, but suddenly the gate starts turning from the original red to black.

Everyone knows what this means! Dungeon break, but the blood moon is far away.

People started scrambling around as there were many civilians transporting food and equipment for the big raid, only to the dungeon going crazy.

Soon the ground that it covered previously slowly expanded, and monsters came out of the portal never seen before.

They were the manifestation of chaos, as they had somewhat similar physiques to humans, but they had more arms or less placed around their bodies without any clear reason why, or multiple eyes, or were completely blind with nothing to compensate them.

These monsters all charged at the humans, well, the ones that could, as there were some with no limbs.

As the adventurers soon arrived, what shocked them was the people who got caught in the grasp of these monsters soon turned into such monsters with no order or reason.

These monsters used their overwhelming force to defeat all adventurers, and the ones killed turned into monsters.

These monsters inherited their original owner's stats and skills as they used them as if they were alive but used them on their old teammates.

A crazy slaughter happened and chaos ensued after it.

The area had to be locked down as stronger adventurers arrived to clear the monsters up, but this left many people shocked that a dungeon break could happen at any time and not only at the Bloodmoon.

The guild prepared their raid in 2 days but was brought closer by a day as fear encroached into the people's hearts of what happened to this dungeon and what could happen to other dungeons.

When chaos and fear reign, the troubling time is coming closer, and once there is no order, everything falls into chaos.

This is the perfect time for people to rise to power and change the old ways.
