16 - Outside World and the Fifth Floor

‘I will save everyone! I will defeat all those evil monsters!’ I remember those words I spoke when I was little and ringing in my ear.

Smirking to myself as I thought about it. How blind I was! The very monsters aren’t those in the dungeons, but those who live with us every day. They wore human skin with a twisted evil personality beneath this skin.

I realized my mistake when I raided this dungeon as I reflected on myself. Why was I raiding dungeons? Was it to save others? If so, why are they sending us to our deaths?

For the greater good? But whose greater good is it? The people or your rich people?

Knowing the truth, I called the raid off as I knew what this would cause to my guild, but I was ready to leave it.

No matter what, I must bring these people to face the law for their rash actions.

Let them taste the same despair as those who fight every day in the dungeons do.

But before that, I have to deal with the investigation of what happened in the dungeon.

I told most of the story from my view but kept quiet about a few things so later they could be used.

After the empire investigators could not get more information about me, and the people under me gave the same information, we were set free.

You might ask why I don’t face anything for so many people dying under me. I just realized how much authority I have over other people's lives, as I won’t be held accountable for the people's deaths under me.

But from one investigation I was forced into another as the guilds wanted information about the dungeon, as no one knew who would be the next one going into that place. So better be prepared than get caught with your pants down.

Knowing this, I gained few benefits from the guilds as a result, as I was a part of another guild, and they could not force me to reveal all information, otherwise, the blackslash would be too big for them to handle, and the guild I am part of is part of the conservative faction that believes the dungeons should be destroyed, but recently this view shifted, but if I can use my cards right, I can gain popularity among my guild and in the conservative faction.

The class I gained can greatly help me in this case.

Each person gains their class from going inside a dungeon, and their views and lives will be used as a referee. If you have a life full of vitality and an outgoing personality, then you get a warrior, and if you helped others and brought happiness, you gain a priest or paladin class, but the stronger your emotions were in your life, the better class you can gain, and this emotion must be heartfelt.

This is the main reason the conservative faction has a great way, as many people lost their people, resulting in a strong emotional outburst that granted them power.

But there are limits on what class you can get in your life experience like you won’t get paladin even if you helped people but at the same time brought suffering to others. This is a hidden value in your life, like karma. The greater good you do, the better the class you get, but this is true for the opposite of this, but doing both will result in the person gaining an average class.

People cannot change their classes normally, as they need to wait for them to reach level 25, then 50, 75, and more, but the highest person in this world is level 77.

Many people guessed the next class upgrade would be at level 100, but no one is sure of it.

Once you reach these levels, you can still level up, but you will lose a great deal of stats, which will set you behind others. Most of the classes' ranks are based on how much stat they give, but that is only true for lower classes, for those of Epic or higher, their real value is their effect, as it can change the tide of the battle.

For example, the legendary class is the Paragon of the Banner. This class does not give you much stat for each level, yet it is considered legendary by the system, and people too think that way.

This class has one massive buff that lets it plant a banner with different colors on the battlefield. Red means strength, which gives all people on the battlefield a 200% increase in strength stat, green for agility, purple for intelligence, orange for wisdom, red for mana, and there are special items that can help them use their skill multiple times.

But this is one of the skills that the bard has, and not speaking about when a person class levels up their skills too. So not only do you gain more skills, but your original skills, which were slowly getting weaker, gain a major boost in strength.

But this only applies to the skills you gained when you got your class and not those you learned later.

How to gain a better class? The system issues you a mission that you must accomplish, and mine was to destroy dungeons that claimed many people's lives. I needed to destroy 5 of these, but I never told anyone what my requirements were.

Of course, what I am going to tell you is that I got the Jester class, which does not have major plays in the raids, but for leaders, they are great as they can cheer people up and grant some buffs, but after all, I cannot say I got the Demonic Jester.

After all, this name alone gives bad vibes, let alone its skills, but sadly my transformation took away my skills, otherwise, I could hide my new class for a bit longer and use it to my full ability, but it doesn’t matter.

Looking at my stats after evolution, there is nothing major that upgraded, but the normal stuff is as I hoped for a new skill or trait, but nothing like that. Every man can dream big.

Other than the new evolution condition being 16000, which made my eye twitch for a second.

I had no idea for the shallow ocean floor monster to be super unique as I had a hard time coming up with them as I had more ideas for the next floor the Deep Ocean, but oh well I try to be unique with the Floor Guardian at least. Skill Camuflage (Passive) Description Like a chameleon, they can blend into sandy or rocky ocean floors, making them nearly invisible to those unaware of their presence.

Skill Entagle (Passive) Description

Any creature coming into contact with you will be shortly entangled by your body as it tries to free itself. Attacking targets who are entangled by you or other creatures takes double damage from you.

Skill Tocix Spores (Active) Description

You can release toxic spores around your area which causes hallucination or sleepiness. The longer you use this skill the longer the mana cost rises and so does the ability potency.

Skill Water manipulation (Active) Description You can manipulate water as you wish with enough mana to do so.

Skill Mistform (Active) Description Once activated your body turns into a mist that cannot be physically harmed, in this form you take triple damage from fire sources. The skill mana cost will not rise over time.

Skill Waterbomb (Active) Description

Creating an extremely potent water ball that once released causes a massive water explosion. The attack damage will be based on the mana used in the attack and the environment it was released.

Skill Shock Therapy (Passive) Description

Any creature coming into contract with you experiences constant electric attacks that will cause it to suffer from extreme pain and become immobile.

Skill Toxic Touch (Passive) Description

Your body contains extremely deadly toxicity that can kill any creature that comes into contact with it as a result anyone who touches you will be poisoned and has 5 hours to cure themselves or die of the toxins and every hour they will receive a debuff lowering their total stats by 20%.

Skill Electric Pulse (Active) Description

Release electricity around you shocking any creature that enters its radius regardless of foe or enemy. This skill strength is based on the mana you used for this skill and environment.

Skill Venomous Barbs (Passive) Description

Your barbs possess venom that paralyzes them once they touch it or come into contact with it. Anyone who touches it receives a 70% Agility reduction debuff for 30 minutes.

Trait Aquatic Lifeform (Passive) Description

You gain a 20% stat bonus to all stats in the water while outside you gain an 80% stats reduction to all stats.

Trait Weaponisedd body (Special) Description

Your body is created to fight as every part of your body is made to fight for your life regardless of how effective they truly are. This can greatly help you fight, but all other activities can be forgotten as you are unable to do so or with great suffering.

This time the staircase is hidden in an underwater cave that is heavily guarded by many monsters as they patrol this area regularly.

Humans are not creatures that are good in the water, so this would give them a hard time even moving here, not to talk about fighting underwater, which is extremely hard for people.

Movements will be restricted greatly, and dodging attacks will be even harder, and they need air as they cannot breathe underwater. I hope there is no such item, but there should be other demons who created floors like these, so humans should have a way to deal with this.

This will only hinder them for a time being and not forever.
