My Dungeon of Terror
04 - Blood Moon (1)

04 - Blood Moon (1)

With the guardian on the floor, the door in front of my chamber had a keyhole. So they can’t just open it if they descend here.

The first layer of defense is ready.

As everything is ready I can see the system fully.

I can see other creature's status with it and gives me a greater ability to read them, but is there anything else?

Changing terror points to mana is that all it got?

If so it is a big letdown, but still a great help in creating monsters.

So for the first time, I can rest easy now and don’t have to worry about people breaking into my chamber without any signs.

Few parties will be wiped out before they can face, but I was curious about the boss so I looked forward to the next party that might they able to draw it out.

***

Looking down at my hand I felt it shaking a bit as this was my first time leading my party to conquer a dungeon as the guild assigned me to do it.

Many parties had already been wiped out so the dungeon difficulty was raised and anyone who had no experience in dungeon hunting was banned so only those who reached level 5 could even challenge it.

{

No one survived so far who reached the Second Floor so no information was brought back about this change. Each dungeon emits mana from it so people check the dungeon's mana level.

}

F-rank dungeons anyone can clear while E-rank dungeons only those with experience and guilds can challenge. Even though the dungeon was newly formed it already resulted in close to 400 people's death.

The Empire already dispatched hunters with abilities to check on this dungeon for any abnormality.

But our guild master wanted to conquer it before the dungeon was fully regulated.

Looking at my teammates as each had a fierce aura. They all were kept on level 5 and not dispatched to any dungeon so our guild has an elite force in this level.

29 veterans and with myself as the leader we can take this dungeon down.

As we entered the dungeon I took out a monster luring emitter.

You won’t use it in higher tier dungeons as it would draw out the floor Guardian and fighting it and all the monsters on the floor is suicide that is why this is not used, but on newly created dungeons this is not a problem.

With the traps ready I activated the monster emitter.

Soon eyes lit up in the darkness as a monster came out from the fog and attacked us, but we held them back as we were prepared for them, and if anything went wrong we could escape easily.

As I looked at the portal behind me I saw it turn from red to black.

Each gate has a different color for their portal, but all have the same thing in them is that once a Floor Guardian is challenged the portal will be sealed and it will turn black no matter which dungeon.

“You are joking, right? A newly created dungeon already has a Floor Guardian?!” I could feel my legs losing strength as everyone was looking at the front and only I could see the portal changing color.

What should we do?! I cannot let the morale plummet if I tell everyone there is a Floor Guardian otherwise we have no chance.

As long I keep quiet and hope the Floor Guardian doesn’t show up until we defeat these monsters we have a chance.

“ROAR!”

A roar that shook everyone was heard and looking at the direction which way it came from I was shocked as a massive creature came out of the forest.

Like the other monsters, but much larger and each step shook the ground.

It ripped a tree out and threw it at the tanks which were crushed by the tree's weight.

With another roar, it announces its presence on the battlefield.

“ROAR!”

Everyone knew what this monster was just from a look and turned around only to see the dungeon gate being locked down.

But outside the dungeon this also created havoc.

***

As I was looking through my phone for something new to watch I heard people running around and everyone calling their superiors there was a problem with the gate.

Curious I came out of my car and looked at the portal of the dungeon only to see it turn black.

My phone slipped out of my hand as it reached the ground and even the cracking sound did not wake me up from the shock of seeing a gate that only appeared 4 days ago having a Boss monster already.

***

It did not take long for the empire to dispatch another group of people once they learned the news to see the mana level of the dungeon.

I saw them taking out equipment from their cars and I saw also the gate turning back to red.

I knew the people who went inside got wiped out.

You need a raid party made out of 50 people from level 5 to defeat the Boss or 20 people who capped their levels at 10 and are fully equipped.

But how is that possible? Could this dungeon have already created many floors, but all newly created dungeons can only have 1 floor or 2 maybe, but Floor Guardians only appear once the dungeon Floor reaches 7.

Are you telling me there is a dungeon that can go against common sense?

Soon the data was shown to everyone and everyone had a horrible look on their faces, even mine.

This dungeon has only 2 floors, but 1 Floor Guardian.

Not even 7 floors, but only 2 and a Floor Guardian and the maximum level is 10 now.

Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation.

We can bring that many people inside but comes the next problem. The Dungeon Lord.

Outsiders might not know much, but insiders know that Dungeon Lords need a certain amount of power to create a Floor Guardian and this monster has enough power to create one already.

Even if a party of 50 members who all are level 10 might be wiped out.

This, who dares to challenge a dungeon of this caliber?

Even the best guilds will not try to challenge it.

Maybe once this dungeon has 7 floors some guild will then challenge it, but then this dungeon might become even more dangerous than before.

Soon I got a phone call that the guild gave up on raiding this dungeon, not only us but all the guild did too.

We don’t gain anything from raiding this dungeon at all.

The ones who received the hardest blow were the other guilds before us.

They sent their men into a certain death trap.

They demand the Empire compensate them for their oversight.

We got lucky as our guild was next in line to raid this dungeon.

I just don’t know what will happen now to this dungeon. It most likely will be abandoned until it reaches 7 Floor so guilds can truly challenge it, but Blood Moon makes it hard as it will cause the Dungeon Break.

***

After the party triggered the Floor Guardian and got wiped out easily no party entered the dungeon at all.

It has been 3 days without any wail or suffering in my dungeon it is driving me nuts.

Just why not attack my dungeon?! There were so many of you who did not stop attacking my dungeon, but now!

Not even a soul entered my dungeon.

Is the difficulty spike too big for them?

They realized there was a Floor Guardian and they gave up on conquering the dungeon.

How I am supposed to get terror points now? No, more importantly, what about my happiness?!

Looking at their last moment made me so happy, but knowing they lived such a comfortable life outside and only a portal separated me from their suffering made me so mad.

Wait, if they won’t come in I go after them!

But how do I leave the dungeon? Only when the Blood Moon happens which happens once every year or if there are too many creatures in my dungeon a dungeon break occurs.

They most likely are prepared for a dungeon break or once the Blood Moon comes.

What can I create that makes people think about raiding my dungeon?

A way to extend life? It is possible after all everyone fears death and fighting monsters so not everyone will become a fighter, but some people buy dungeon items so they can extend their life.

So I have to endure until the blood moon comes which is 5 days from now on.

Thankfully my dungeon was born before it.

But what item should I create to specify it? A plant should be good and should only appear on the second floor so they have to go through my first floor.

As I did so I looked through my dungeon as the herbs that I never created existed here.

They were born in the dungeon corresponding to the environment.

The plants in my dungeon are not great and can only be say average as the best just gives you +3 strength and nothing else.

I thought some plants could enchant a person's physique and I could make it evolve but looks like it won’t work so my second method is a monster.

Monsters killed in the dungeon won’t disappear but remain there so people can harvest them for their resources.

Soon I created a new monster on the second floor a limited their numbers to 10 compared to the 200 monsters that live on the second floor not counting the parasites.

I also made the floor bigger consuming my mana from the original 12 football field size to 15.

Let's say the average area of a football field is 7,350 m2. (8,790.52 square yards)

The first-floor size is around 8 times that while the second floor now is 15 times, but I cannot expand it indefinitely.

The bigger a Floor is the more monster needs to be in here so there can be danger everywhere.

This new monster on the second floor has great vitality as I enchanted it as much as possible and even granted it a special skill that enchants its regeneration ability and this resulted not a life-extending ability, but a fast regeneration.

This is also good, but this whole rage consumed me 40 terror points making my terror points drop from 331 to 291.

I sit in my chair and think about what should I do next as the monsters in my dungeon are stupid so even if I torture them they won’t scream or do anything human-like emotion like despair and even then they will happily accomplish everything I ask them to do.

There is no fun in that so I can only boringly watch as that big-ass parasite moves around the floor and fights other monsters.

Not going to lie that things is huge already.

As it crawled on the ground with its two massive forearms and its legs were like small pop stickles compared to it.

Its height as it lays on the ground is around 5 meters and has a width of 3 meters. (16.40 feet = 5 meter and 9.84 feet = 3 meter)

Row upon row of sandbags was put into position on both streets as it was locked down and the houses were evacuated long beforehand.

The dungeon was surrounded as people were prepared to face anything that came out of it.

There are people of level 10 and above, but few as their main reason here is to face monsters that might be abnormally strong.

The rest of the people were dispatched to higher-tiered dungeons.

Just because this dungeon has a Floor guardian is the reason so high defense was put up as who knew what stronger monster lay inside the dungeon?

Soon monsters came out at once and a fight broke out.

The tanks on the front lines held back the monster's charge while mages and archers dealt with them.

Any monster that was not killed by this volley of abilities was taken out by the close-range damage dealers.

They caused a bit of damage, but everyone knew they were the first row of monster’s stronger ones soon arrived and it did not take long.

Giant Muscle Hills came out of the dungeon as the portal expanded so they could easily move out.

After them were shadowy figures who moved quickly towards the front line as they reaped their lives and no one noticed them before it was too late.

“Fire at will!” Soon an order came down as spells rained down on the monsters without stopping.

These monsters were somewhat intelligent as they knew they would die so they hid behind these giants as they took all the damage as it was nothing, but they moved slowly.

Soon the people were brought away from the battlefield who were seriously injured.

But no one saw the small worms moving inside the people's bodies who were injured and no one used cleaning spells on them only healing.

Even if they used they could not cast it on everyone at once.

This resulted in the infected being brought into the injured quarters and what about the dead? They were brought to another place.

Just as the situation turned around for humans a huge arm came out of the portal and with it, many creatures on its body gave out green ooze and looked like humans, but their limbs were made out of vines that connected to their heads and their head was a flower.

When monsters came close to the flowers they ripped off a part of the vine monster and ate it and they quickly regenerated back to their peak state.

“Focus fire on the flowers and everyone who is above level ten focus on that giant monster!” Soon another voice sounded on the battlefield, but no one knew where the voice came from as it sounded from every direction.

With this, the real battle started between humans and monsters.
