Now such news of delight befell before Mr. Garret as he read the letter of Mr. Burton, he read the words that could only resemblance with laudable matter.

“Dear Mr. Garret, now I have received such a great opportunity to inform you that Miss Evelyn has been freed of her scars and wounds, she is resting well in the hospital but will be transferred shortly to the prison, perhaps in a week and you will be allowed to meet her at the time, I will be glad if this letter has provided you the great satisfaction.”

Mr. Garret was for sure delighted with this news, though his happiness was not to restrict only himself as he ventured to inform Eleanor as well. Once she surveyed his lightened face she tended to ask for a purpose for this.

“May I get to know the reason for your warm smile?” asked she.

“Well my employee was indulged in a very incomprehensible action, but now she has recovered well,”

“Oh Really?” her response was indeed phlegmatic.

“Yes and I will have to meet her as I have some questions concealed, though I will receive the answers to those questions regardless of the meeting but for those answers, I am very desperate and it can not wait for my perusal to end,”

“Now I am glad for that, would you like to have breakfast?”

“My thoughts were quite dubious round Winston, what had he wanted if not me nor Miss Ivy? Or had he only wished for the pang desire to satisfy his wildest needs? Once I went downstairs I was only met with the cordial eyes of Little Ivy.

“What is the matter lady?” asked I, she seemed as if she was waiting for me.

“Shall I tell Ivy?”

I was shell-shocked after hearing her words and wondered if she had witnessed what we had done on the roof.

“What do you mean?”

“I saw sir Winston rushing to the rooftop, perhaps I have uttered everything that happened between you two to my eyes,”

“Oh Dear, it was nothing, he was only massaging my body, I felt some pain earlier this week,”

“Oh Dear, I may be only 13 but do not consider my intelligence as to my age, I have been known to that stuff already,”

“You little Missy, you should not speak a word in regard to matters that you do not know,” said I.

“I have seen a lot of whores..”

“Watch your tongue, Little Missy,” interposed I. She gave me a look of despair but decided not to act upon my words.

“Before I was to settle here I witnessed a lot of women providing satisfaction to some men, now shall I go and speak with Lady Ivy?”

“And what was your age when you saw those women?” said I, jokingly.

“Missy, it is not a matter of importance, just so you know that I have understood what you were doing with Winston there,”

Those sentences had ascertained her power in our conversation and I was left with no choice but to defer myself to her wishes.

“You shall not speak with Miss Ivy about this!” said I.

“Very well then now you must promise me one thing,”

“What is it?”

“Once I leave here then you will leave with me and we will be together for the rest of my life,”

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

“Sure dear, now will you cease your mouth for such topic?”

She nodded but I was not struck forever with her though a partner that I had and will always enjoy the company of, She was a fine child though with so much bad luck that had ruined her but I dared to pick the task to make her a fine lady.”

“Now it befell me so many worries and concerns,” said Evelyn.

“For what?” Mr. Garret spoke.

“Are you reading my letters because I have not seen a single movement in your face or expression whenever I have mentioned Little Ivy,”

Her words only worked as confusion for poor John Garret as he was in such trouble to make meaning of it.

“Why will I find Little Ivy an exciting matter?”

“Oh Dear Lord, she must have made a folly of the letters,” said she while her frolic manner vanishes and her worries awash her innocent face.

“Speak plainly for Christ's sake and tell me everything!”

“Sir I am very apologetic to inform you that Little Ivy is no one but Eleanor, she was sent to interact with you for my cause,”

“What Nonsense!” said Mr. Garret as he rose from his chair to condense his feelings with his action.

“I am afraid that it was all my idea but we had never expected you to fall in love with her,”

Mr. Garret stood tall, motionless while his lips could not utter a word, his eyes raged with only tears, he had only concealed love for her yet his love was only to be betrayed and make a mockery of it.

“Why haven’t you informed me earlier?”

“I had wanted to once I got acquainted with your feelings, She had told me everything but she had forced my lips to not speak in this regard as well by threatening to end her own life,”

Mr. Garret once again dispersed himself into silence, a very saddened oblivion, all the memories that he had made with her, all the promises that he had made to himself regarding her.

“I must go, yes I must address her.” Said he and turned round.

“Please tread her lightly, do not hurt her for my sake.” Her words meant nothing to him, he departed from the prison and mounted his chaise, his tears were under no pretence of his control, he had faced such pang in the past yet this time he found that this betrayal was the most that gave him such pain. The chaise stopped and he climbed down, The aroma of fresh meals caught his attention and the little sound of her humming, the sweet song that she was so much in love with and that he was so graced whenever he had listened to it. His footsteps had provided the hint of his presence to Lady Eleanor and she tended to address her.

“Sir, are you home?” Upon not hearing any such response, she walked out of the kitchen and soon was met with his pompous look.

“Dear, is something wrong?” she said awhile looking at Mr. Garret as he was settled onto the sofa, he had decided to speak no words yet again.

“My Love? What is it?” said Eleanor with more delicacy towards her worries.

“Perhaps I have some important matter that may require your heed, Come sit down please,” he disengaged a chair to place it against his eyes, Eleanor sat down in his wishful place.

“I do not like the way you are looking at me,”

Mr. Garret could only smile and welcome the mysterious trouble that she was in.

“You must tell me at once! What is going on?”

“Tell me for how long were you planning to keep me under such lies?”

Eleanor lost the colour of her face as she heard and understood the meaning of it, deserted from the usurper and deserted from her love as well.

“What are you talking about?”

“You understand quite well what I am talking about, now I only want the truth from you,”

She stayed silent, yes she had wished to talk but was in no such position to know very well what words to use.

“Oh, Jesus!” Mr. Garret rose as his frustration arose, his short breaths only hinted at the anger that resided within him.

“Tell Me Eleanor or I should address you as Ivy, was everything that we had done together false? Was everything going in accordance to you and Evelyn's plans?”

She kept her silence even though her tears commenced to cascade, her fingers held her frustration as she grasped the hem of her dress.

“Tell me, Eleanor! Was your love false as well?!”

“No sir, my love was and still is real,”

“And Am I supposed to believe that?”

She once again said no words and Mr. Garret’s furious self grew further and deeper, perhaps in his heart he had wished to conceal this poignant occurrence but the circumstances had placed the dubious thoughts onto him.

“Eleanor, you must leave this place at once,” said he, She rose with such sudden order of him, yes she had thought to conclude this matter before but Mr. Garret was so accustomed to his work that she was forced upon to drop the idea though now she was only left with sorrowful regret, she could attempt any remonstrance she may yet she had understood it quite clearly that Mr. Garret had stumbled upon this decision with his obstinate self.

“I want you to be effaced from here before my temperance comes, please, be gone before I return.”

Mr. Garret commenced to leave the house as Eleanor stood still and stared at him then she followed Mr. Garret to the passage and shouted.

“Sir, did you love me?” no reply was she received. “You never loved me, I now know, you have never ever loved me, oh Jesus, You never held your admiration for me! Speak to me, you bastard!”

Mr. Garret only expressed his ignorance while his feet continued to be in motion now they were under the care of the streets and Eleanor had ceased her feet once she was out but Mr. Garret tended to keep walking.

“Tell me, sir!” Eleanor shouted once again as the tears fell, “Why did you not love me?!”
