Mr. Garret departed from the solitude place to a windy night that was so wild and tempestuous, he admitted into his chaise, though he felt pity for the unfortunate driver and his horse yet he was forced to ask him to drive incessantly as the matter required his heed, Even Eleanor could not act as the impediments for his absence from the inflict that he would be faced yet it had to be done toilsome as it may. Mr. Garret rose when the chaise stopped at the destination, he departed the warmth ride and rushed inside the prison, he alighted from the stairs, expecting the Hoyden woman to appear as always, yet when he surpassed the hallway he was greeted by Mr. Burton.
“Ah Dear, I have been expecting to see you,” said Mr. Burton,
“I must see Evelyn at the moment, where is she?”
“Come, have a walk with me,”
Mr. Garret did not relish any of this but he could not deprive himself, there were no words to be spoken between them hitherto the cessation to their walks.
“Now Gentleman, I wish to not be indulge in any quarrels with you so let me speak the horrendous and unpleasant news to you at once, There has been some ludicrous incident and I am afraid that it is about Evelyn, she was um…. She was indulged in a brawl with an over-conceited officer for a hairpin that she was wearing, the officer left her in a bad fettle,”
Mr. Garret, at the time, suffered a grave frustration, he tried to exalt his voice to express his sheer anger yet he held his frustration and decided to bear him the chide as he very well knew Mr. Burton had no indulgence in this act.
“We had already dismissed the officer. Do not fret, Evelyn had written the letters for you, she asked me to deliver it, I suppose she has finished her say, so maybe we are nearer to our conclusion?”
“We should not be hasty in this, I must take my time and read it thoroughly, I must investigate to confirm her say as well,”
“Very well then, I suppose I should leave you with your task, let me know if you want to inquire about Evelyn,”
“I will, Thank You.”
Mr. Burton withdrew and Mr. Garret decided to wait there to bare the driver and horse from the smouldering snow, he settled down in an aisle of stairs in such uncongenial condition, and with a feeling of desolation, he started his perusal.
“Ivy Garret, yes sir, it is so peculiar for me to write at the current state, she is, as you had expected, your sister. Now sir, let me neglect any words that you are already acquainted with, and let me continue my story.
The next morning I found it very difficult to rise, awoke with a feeling that resembled no enjoyment, I walked downstairs where I had a nice breakfast with Ivy a day earlier, and found no one, I went to the playground and followed the tramps of kids, soon I was brought in to a place that was rushed in with the stocks of laughing and smiles. I surveyed the area and saw a peculiar girl as she was accustomed to loneliness, her eyes could not desert from the sight of the birds. I betook myself to her, gladly enough, I acquired a seat beside her as she looked at me and averted her eyes to the birds once again.
“What is your name? Young Lady?” I asked.
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
“I have no names,” her reply was, I must say quite astonishing.
“What do you mean by that?”
“Lady, Are you this dumb? Obviously, I have a name but it is not given by my parents as I have never met either of them my name was given by Ivy,”
“What name did Ivy give you?”
“Ivy, She has given me her name, now I shall not be disturbed for such trifle regards,”
I looked at her as her words had given her a grimace, and she averted her attention to birds once again. As much as I had wanted to not bother her yet my curiosity had possessed the best of me.
“Do you abhor your name?”
“I do not abhor my name, it does not matter anyway, I will dethrone this name once I come to a certain age,”
“May I ask why will you dethrone the name Ivy?”
“Because there needs to be only one Ivy and I do not wish to be a successor of her,”
“Has she revealed this idea?”
“No silly, but why would she give me her name?”
I stayed silent, knowing that this little girl was alighted from the senses, before you form any idea of my stupidity I must inform you that I know kids do not require to have much sense and I understood it so I restrained myself to speak further regarding her name, though when I made my mind to rise and left she had uttered some words.
“Birds are so fascinating, aren’t they?”
Her words were impediments to my leave as I settled down and decided to hear her say.
“Do you find Birds fascinating?”
“Oh surely, but I spot fear in their eyes,”
Such a strange girl, that thought had taken possession in my mind but when I heard myself I was unable to find resemblance in her words, though when I decided to speak further on this topic thus was I restrained by the sudden appearance of a man, I am entirely fearful of my prejudice knowingly that I have been wrong in the past yet when I rested my eyes on him I found only troubles for the future. He surpassed the playground and went inside the 3 Story House. I decreed to rise and interact with him, and for that, I put up a hindrance in my conversation with Little Ivy. I walked in and heard the chatters. It was Miss Ivy and the same mysterious man. Then the laughs followed the chatters.
“Hello Miss Ivy,” I interposed,
“Oh come, Evelyn,” I appeared near her.
“Meet Winston, he is um…. My sweetheart,” Her smile was warmth with diffidence and her sweetheart chuckled as well but I was raged with my peculiar feelings.
“Winston, this is Evelyn, she is here to help us with the kids,”
“Oh really, then I shall not restrict my prejudice to think of you as a boisterous girl as well,”
I restrained to say anything, yet his eyes were entirely struck on me and that forced me to think that I am merely an uncongenial human.
“Boisterous maybe, but Shy for sure, now dear you must take rest, you have travelled a long way,”
Winston put his content to her words and walked away with a smile hewed to me, I stayed still before Ivy interrupted my gawking.
“Do not worry Evelyn, he will not bother you if you wish to not interact with him,”
“No—No I just found him quite good and attractive, it is no bother for me,”
She smiled and gave me a response of very lavished generosity as she commenced to speak how she had fallen prey to his love, I should not inflict this upon my reader though I do not know if you know her unaccounted meeting with Winston. After she finished her say I tend to speak.
“Miss Ivy, I have a request to ask,”
“No Miss or such unnecessary titles, first you must learn to call me Ivy,”
“Uh…. Ivy?” I looked at her with my preposterous eyes.
“Yes, it seems fine, Now speak,”
“Will you allow Little Ivy to live with me?”
“Little Ivy? That is a pretty nice way to distinguish us,”
I gave a smile to her remarks. She paused and took a time to respond, urged by a sense of her duty, she looked at me and was convinced to speak.
“Is there something that I am not aware of?”
“No, I have an urge that we may get acquainted with each other so sooner than others,”
“Very well, we can have it your way.” With those words, she walked away.
Sir, I must tell you, sometimes on occasions like these the thoughts always occur to me, to think regarding someone’s benefits, and the thoughts trembled yet again as I was preposterously aware of her sweetheart, he deemed nothing more than a bastard, a person that will drag everyone with his lamentations, that’s the thoughts I turned to accustom when I saw him, though I am very sorry to announce that my feelings were changed in the near future towards him it was so harmful to Ivy and others that I am struck with such regret once I am to rifle the entire act for once again.”
