Misen made it to a village. The streets were filled with people. Many smiles were seen as people were enjoying their day to day lives. The buildings weren’t very tall and one could easily climb to the roof with enough athleticism. Misen wasn’t used to buildings that were so short. The ones she was used to were taller, and because of how the castle town buildings looked she thought that they would be the same or similar.
Misen had walked for a while so she had no real idea the distance between this village and the ruins she left. She also had no idea where she was on the map at all. She didn’t know if she was closer or further from the continent she knew as home. However, what she did know was that there was the smell of alcohol in the air. After who knows how long, she would finally get to have the nectar of the gods. The wonderful sweet woody aroma was the only thing she could think of as her nose guided her to the source. Her head held high while her nose led her to a popup shop.
“That smell, surely it must be whiskey. How much are you selling it for?” Misen asked the man at the popup shop. She was a woman on a mission for booze.
“You’re correct, your nose has led you to the right place. Around three gold coins for a full bottle of whiskey.” The older gentleman replied, as he showed off a bottle to Misen. The bottle was tall and square shaped. Misen bought two bottles and the moment she paid for them and had them in her hands. She immediately started to drink the bottle of whiskey in front of the vendor. Once she had completely drained the bottle she let the last drops of whiskey simmer before swallowing and exhaling.
“Aaaah, that hit the spot.” Misen said with a satisfied smile. She felt revitalized after finishing the bottle. Her suddenly draining one of the bottles surprised the vendor. Especially since the bottle was by no means a small bottle.
“Would you like more, Miss?” He offered as he lightly chuckled. Misen immediately accepted his offer for more whiskey. She paid her coins and bought an additional five bottles. She drained two bottles and the vendor offered to take the empty bottles so he could clean them and reuse them. She obliged and left the three empty bottles behind. She was feeling the alcohol in her body. She was happy to have booze flowing through her blood. Her strides had a little of a wobble to them. The shop vendor was a little concerned about Misen, but he was happy with his profits. Misen aimlessly wandered through town while she was pretty tipsy.
She bought a bag to carry her four bottles of whiskey easier. She didn’t want to waste any by dropping them. She wobbled her way to an inn, there she bought a room and laid her bag of whiskey on the floor. The moment she placed her bag down she left and went out while being pretty tipsy. She bought a sandwich and with the sandwich, she bought some wine. She didn’t drain the wine, instead she sipped it slowly. She sat at her table and watched the people walk by from the window.
She continued to people watch. She saw a group of four enjoying themselves and laughing together. Which made a small bittersweet smile form on her face. Even if you were to find a new group you’ll outlive them all. The thought interrupted her peace. She quickly finished her glass of wine that she had been sipping, before getting a refill to silence the negative thoughts. Once her glass of wine had been refilled by a waiter. She immediately drained the glass and got another refill. However, she just began sipping her glass alone. She went back to people watching and zoning out.

She was snapped back to reality when she heard a masculine voice speak to her. “You seem interesting so I wish to talk with you.” The man said as he sat across from her. Misen eyes perked up for a moment only to go back to normal as she saw the stranger. “Your eyes perked up, did I say something funny?” The young man asked. He had short blond hair and green eyes.
“Nah, you just made me feel a little nostalgic. Well if you want to talk then you’ll have to buy me some drinks.” Misen smirked at the young man.
“Of course, though I wouldn’t get your hopes up. I have money but likely not enough to satisfy you.” He lightly laughed.
“Well, how about this? You buy me one drink and when I finish I’ll leave. But before I finish I’ll chat with you. Make your choice carefully.” Misen smiled at the young man. She finished the rest of her current drink in one go. Then she focused her gaze at the young man.
He called over a waiter immediately and showed the waiter one of the drinks from the menu. The waiter obliged and returned later with the drink he chose. It was a jumbo sized glass of red wine. We usually served an entire table of four. When Misen saw the size of the glass she couldn’t help but laugh.
“I like the way you think, haha. Well you better not make the conversation boring since we’re here for the long haul.” Misen was amused by the choice of drink. She gazed her silver eyes at the crimson liquid and smiled. She lifted the glass and took in the smell before taking her first sip. “So what did you wish to speak about?”
“First of all I was wondering where you were from?”
“Terradei, specifically Kajne.” Misen said whilst enjoying her wine.
“Terradei huh, it’s said to be the land where the gods preside. It's kinda far, so what brings you here? Some warrior’s journey?” The young man asked.
“I ended up here when I was teleported here because I stumbled upon a teleportation circle in some ruins.”
“On your travels did you happen to see the kingdom of Slakkeales. Rumors say that it was completely annihilated by some disaster.”
“Hmmm, I do believe I saw those ruins on my travels.” It took Misen a moment to think back.
“Do you happen to know of the monster that is said to be disguised as a swordswoman?” The man asked. He looked at her sword before saying. “Not that I think it’s you.” He added.
“Well I’m certainly a monster on the battlefield, haha!” Misen laughed aloud, neither confirming nor denying the accusation. Her answer along with her eyes giving an odd look made the man quickly change topics.
“What has the best part of your trip here been?” He asked. Misen smiled before going back into her usual drunk expression.
“I’d say the peaceful moment of relaxing in the forest. It was a nice day.” Misen smiled as she stared off into the ceiling for a moment. They continued talking until the moment when Misen finished her jumbo glass of wine. She then paid her bill before disappearing into the night and then returning to her inn room.
“What an interesting woman. But it really doesn’t seem like it would be a good idea to get too close to her. The smell of death reeked on her, it was only overpowered by the smell of alcohol she surrounded herself with.” The man sighed.
