The Western Alliance

The Western Alliance

It has been a week since Master of Otherworlders took down the Pirate Captain. The Strong-armed Magician, Abraham Woods has been a bit skeptical on visiting the region. Currently ranked 12 in the whole world, Abraham lucked out on both the Gift aspect and the Innate ability aspect.

Innate Ability: General of Wizards

Your followers, those who swear loyalty to you will gain an enhanced pool of mana, enhanced learning speed of for spells and an overall better understanding of magic. These followers must be wholly loyal and must dedicate themselves to you. As the General of Wizards, your pool of mana is enormous and you can learn certain spells with just a bit of observation.

His innate ability alone made him a threat from the moment he unlocked it, wielding an enormous amount of mana he naturally created basic spells. Molding his mana into arrows or javelins, creating forcefields and barriers out of mana was simple for him. Abraham used this ability to save most of his town, those that he saved swore allegiance to him and that was how he started his conquest.

With that ability alone, he raised multiple Elite Bronze and Basic Silver-grade spellcasters. The modern day humans who are far more inclined with memorization gained great progress in their growth as spellcasters.

As if that wasn't enough, The Strong-armed Magician also had an extremely potent Gift of the Gods.

God's Gift: Noble Aviantross

Those from the Sky-realms have noticed you, specifically the Aviantross. Visitors from that realm will see you as someone of noble blood, those that you beat in a duel will follow you as loyal servants.

Aviantross are humanoid-birds, physically domineering and their weakest are at Elite Bronze-grade. Over the course of the last 3 months, opening portals from the Sky-realms has led to him taming around 700 of these feathered creatures. Using his innate ability to further strengthen them, they are the elites of his army with close to 20 in the Gold-grade.

The humans that followed him numbered in the thousands and on top of a giant turtle they travel across the earth, taking down invaders and recapturing lost land. The giant turtle that floated around as a mobile island base came from the egg that he hatched from the rank rewards.

To reach his high rank, Abraham destroyed multiple other locals at the top. Taking in only a handful of them as allies, while massacring those that refused to join him. At the moment, Ten members in the top 5,000 work directly under him while the others at the top 100 are neutral parties that do not want to engage with him.

Individually speaking, His current Rank is Intermediate Gold-grade making him a powerhouse even without his troops. The benefits of serving him, made even a non-magical race potent in the arts of spellcasting. It was easy for any local survivors to see him as some sort of savior, it was easy to follow someone who already had authority even before the start of the new era.

Now, why would such a powerful figure fear the island off of the coast of Lindburg City. The answer was simple, it's not fear but simply him being careful. Abraham Woods, is a retired army commander. Someone that loves to ensure his victory through managing information, he gained as much of this information as he could about his foes choosing to give them enough respect.

At a roundtable on a mansion at the top of the giant turtle. The main leaders of the Western faction

"I have secured a deal with the European powers, I will be heading there with Tri-V and the Red Eyed Skeleton King." Abraham had a tall and intimidating figure, one that was fit for a former military commander. In his thirties, Abraham was forced to retire due to an injury to his spine. Luckily it didn't fully paralyze him, though he now needs a cane to walk. "The matter with the Master of Otherworlders will be dealt with by the General of the Western Coast. Approaching this one through the private chat function might be necessary, if all he wants is to be left alone then it's perfect for us."

"Do I have permission to decimate the island?" The General of the western coast, was a woman in her 20s.

"If you must, but once again. This individual might not be someone that you can just take down through sheer force. The Pirate Captain was a large threat due to his numbers, I believe that it is safe to assume that this figure has control of at least a few gold-grades." Abraham shook his head, Already sure that things would not end well with her. "If I wasn't meeting a top 10 member then I would've sent the Skeleton king..."

"Hahahaha try not to die General! If you couldn't read between the lines then let me make it simple for you!" A light-skinned man with glowing red eyes laughed at her arrogance. "You're ranked somewhere in the 1,000s right now. You're up against someone who has been mostly passive so far, this passive person announced himself in the main group chat before taking down a fleet of 7,000 soldiers."

The red eyed man then stood from his seat. "This guy is hiding his strength or was simply too scared of what's going on outside of his territory. Either way It's safe to assume that he has a handful of Gold-grades. The best you've got is a few Silver-grades, the only reason you're even allowed to converse with the guy is because we're sending you out there with some reinforcements!"

Rank 120, The Red eyed skeleton king. Second only to Abraham in their group, unlike the military ruler he was a bit more loose in his way of speaking. The general, though powerful in her own right didn't dare to challenge his authority.

"Stop antagonizing her." Abraham clasped his hands together. "All I'm asking is for you to take this situation seriously. The last thing we want is another loss on our side, if we can get him to join us then it would be amazing. I'll give you a few Bird-wizards as a reward. For now the pressing issue is the alliance with the European powers, their aid will be necessary if we want to reestablish society."

"Red eye, what's our main goal?" Abraham asked his strongest ally.

"To reestablish the rule of the locals." The red eyed king sounded bored.

"Why is that, Miss General?" Abraham pointed towards her, waiting for a reply.

"So that the Murim and the Terrans won't steal our realm."

"Good, good. This alliance was formed under me, because you all seek the power of magic. You have sworn loyalty to me and my goals. And my goal is to establish a regime based on the power of the locals, I expect results from each and everyone of you. Now disperse, this meeting has gone on for far too long." Abraham was confident that it was only a matter of time before he reached the top 10, reaching such rank would give him items that other survivors could only dream of.

"Elites." He called out, while the rest of them left. Flying down towards him were a few well-armored bird-headed figures. "I need at least two of you to tail her, Two Gold-grades should be enough as guards for someone like that. Prioritize her life, the boons that she gives to our troops is nothing to scoff at and I hate losing allies."

Sipping on some tea, Abraham held a serious expression. "Offering him a spot in the alliance or simply being in friendly relations to him, yes that would be enough. We have already lost a lot of powerful locals to the invaders, the last thing I want is to point my wand at a potential ally."
