"I see, It seems that our dear friend Yeram is alive."

[Due to your title, the recruit Yeram Choi has grown immensely. Breaching through the Basic Gold-grade is now possible, please click to confirm.]

Travis was riding on the back of Nyx, next to him was Deltrax. Deltrax was in full attention, due to the fact that he would play a large role for what came next.

"Yeram... ah yes the first Gold-grade."

"Uhuh, the same message I got from Vantak breached through Elite Silver-grade just appeared. I'll send her another personal message later, for now we have to focus on what's in front of us. Vantak is all the way on the other side of this field, we're going to muscle our way through." Travis unsheathed his sword. "You're sure about your plan?"

"Of course, Master Travis. It is time for me to prove my worth. Demons are simple creatures you know? We follow those of our kin with power, because they can lead us to more experiences in the battlefield. With my bloodline, it's easy to rally them. I can ensure a handful of recruits for you in this battle!"

"Perfect, we'll force them to sign the recruitment contract. They'll be great assets for when I need to deal with Diana again. There's at least 10 Gold-grade demons left on their side, if you can pull any of them onto our side then consider the next 2 weeks as a long vacation. I can survive with Nyx, Do your thing." And with those words Deltrax flew off to the center of it all.

The demons showed no signs of hostility toward the demon noble. Some of them even bowed to him. Deltrax was back in his element now. Demons recognized those with power, Deltrax was born with this power along with the ability to enforce his own will onto demons that were weaker than himself.

'Deltrax should be fine, more demons contracted to me would be a huge help. Diana has no way of actually getting demons aside from magical contracts, which normally has a large cost. If Deltrax can get even just one of those Gold-grade demons to join us then it's perfect.' Travis couldn't help but look at the notification that came from a recruit that he assumed to be dead. She never replied to any of his messages, he assumed her to be dead. The system never notified him whenever any of his recruits died, which is why his only basis was her lack of replies.

"Then it's obvious where she is, at this point do I even need her?" Had it been Travis before his visit to the Terran realm, he would have been angered by her leave. "I can always just terminate the contract, she'll be forced back into purgatory."

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

"I've been far too lenient with them." The Master of Otherworlders then opened up the chat panel.

Travis Montes: This is the last and only warning, I will consider this as insubordination. I assumed you were dead for more than 3 months now, I recently received confirmation that you are still alive. You've been useless to me, not a single merit point was gained... Did you do this deliberately so I wouldn't find you? Give me a reasonable explanation or return to my realm this instant. I can cancel the contract at any time, remember this.

'While others willingly died for me, she found her chance to escape and didn't even bother to check her messages. She chose not to fight or kill anything to ensure that I wouldn't be notified of anything. She was the first Gold-grade that I summoned and all she's done is disappoint me. At this point I don't even need her, but for some reason I feel like I was wronged.' The same look of madness that consumed him at the start of the new era began to rear its ugly head. 'I really wanted to follow my grandmother's teachings... I really did but... but why does everyone want to go against what I want? I didn't ask her to die did I?'

"I even gave her the privilege of reuniting with her old colleagues." His right eye twitched. If he was on the cusp of choosing the light before, then he sealed that option shut now. 'I've been moving selfishly anyways, why do I need to help or even care about the feelings of others?'

'I already lost everyone that I loved... the society that forced me to act like a decent person despite taking everything away from me is now gone as well. With the power I hold now, the world should be my oyster yet... yet people keep on fucking testing me!'

"AHAHAHAHAHAHHAH!! AHAHAHAAHAHAHAH!!" His laugh resounded in the communicators, heard by all of the units that were connected to it. It was a laugh that Mira was all too familiar with, the laugh that came out of her master whenever he finally makes an important decision.

Nyx barreled through the sea of demons. Her children ate anything that she chose not to consume, any and all that stood in her way became nothing but biomass. Additional sources of energy for when she needed to lay more eggs. Travis would often get off of her back and slash through opponents that she may have missed, quickly jumping back after the initial take down.

Bzzztt! BZZZT!

The sound of thunder came out whenever he disappeared, coming in twice in a span of a few seconds. The Master of Otherworlders now held a serious expression. "Noah, focus on supporting the others. You can tell Mogbean to join you in the intel management job, Walter will be our main eyes and ears for the Island's defense."

"Understood, Master Travis."

"What's the situation with the Light Fanatics?"

"They are finally retreating, the permanent closing of the portal has lowered their morale."

"Good, tell those Vampires to lead the rest of the survivors to the docks. After they finish, I want everyone available to join us in the fight to seal the portal to the Abyss."

Travis needed to get to Vantak due to two things, one was to back him up. But the main reason is to use a Territory Claim Ticket, which will show him the number of hostiles in the area, effectively making the region mostly his own. Unlike the Light Church who claimed the immediate surroundings near their location, the demons couldn't agree on a leader. It would give them crucial information on any stragglers and the overall combat strength of the demon army.
