The moment she appeared out of nowhere, she moved to stand on Billy's other side, along with Henry. And that in turn made Henry move to sit in between the standing couple and I. So I offered, "take a seat you two."
Not that they do, instead, Kirana opened her mouth to demand. "You will not get in the way of our relationship!"
Huuhh? I turn to give Henry my best confused look. And raised my eyebrows to silently inquire, what? Only for him to shrug.
"You think this is a joke? Something I'm doing to make you jealous? Just—" Kirana added, maybe due to my silence or my ignoring her and silent communicating with Henry. Though Billy subtly pulled at her arm to try calming her, down part ways through her rant.
"Nah, I believe you're mature enough to take relationships seriously. And I believe Billy is even more mature than you or I." I tell her, why is she so offended? "But apparently, judging from how you're acting right now, you're still lacking in that aspect. How did you even get the idea that I wanna get in between you two?'
"Why do you keep staring at us during breakfast these few days? Trying to intimidate us into breaking up is it?" Kirana demanded. "Everyone else may be. But I'm not scared of you!"
That stunned me, I don't even come to breakfast all that often, maybe thrice this previous week. I did give them a few glances… Two of my friends are dating each other, I'm curious. Okay! They even kinda started ignoring me, which made it even more curious. But is that staring? "Uhh, sorry. I think there's been a bit of a missunderstanding."
"I rarely even go for breakfast… and I can't help glancing at you two, okay? From my point of view, you were both my friends, then, we are all busy with our own things. And all of a sudden you two started avoiding me, and I kinda Sensed you two being a little too friendly right outside Kirana's door. So I figured there was something there—congratulations by the way!" I explained to Kirana, congratulated Billy, then once again looked at Kirana to continue talking, "but I still don't get why I'm being avoided. Now you are even confronting me about trying to break you up?"
"What!?" Billy asked. Henry just outright started chuckling in increasing intensity, that is sure to develop into a laugh soon.
"If me looking at you mean you need to break up, shouldn't Henry and Jennifer get a divorce, because I've been looking at them being all lovey dovey for years now that it's turned from something disturbing to a part of my daily life." Then I pointed at the person in question and exclaimed. "You! Get a divorce or I'll intimidate you with my stare every morning!"
Kirana still looks ready for war, while Billy has this stupid look on his face, clearly deep in thought. So Henry asks me, "it felt to me like you had a bit of a thing for Kirana and she did too. Did you? Seriously."
This conversation is getting too long for my liking. "I might have, just a slight bit. But as mentioned previously. I plan to focus on surviving the expiration of our galaxy's system awarded protection, if you don't mind me trying to continue living happily! So~, you guys can date whoever you want, if I don't Blink forth and demand to your face that you should break up. Please, take it as if I didn't say anything. In fact, I'm happy for both of you, even if you two started keeping your distance from me!"
"Hey it's okay, I get it… Well not really, but I also don't get how Dungeons can create life, or how to bend reality and manifest everything I can think of with a twitch of my mind, so please understand I don't get everything." I jest, Henry is just grinning from ear to ear while the other two digests my declaration. So I offered my new-unfinished product to the dumbass that should have not allowed this conversation to happen. "You wanna be the first to cast Mark of Returning at my level of OP-ness?"

In the end, all three unexpected guests gave the unfinished buster wand a try. That is after the couple awkwardly apologize for their misunderstanding—I never want to go through that again! I also made sure they spent 550 mana instead of the mere minimum of 150. I did the math and am sure the core will regenerate what was spent come the next morning. Now, that should give them a range of 5 times my magic power in meters, however much that is… When I showed Henry the Spell's description, he got the idea of using the Spell to measure said magic power; find the exact point where the Mark fades and divide that number of meters by 5. And that deed we accomplish through use of a Spell Henry came up with; he named it—very unoriginal-ly, as; Meteran. Though the spell itself functions in all units of measurement by making use of the VICOS. Any user may register any number of units into the VICOS integrated spell, which the spell keeps track of in relation to the constant drift speed of unaltered-unmanipulated ambient mana, crazy how this is accomplished. Oh, did I mention gravity and magnetism also come into play somehow—to maintain accuracy he said…
Given the spell, I was lent a one meter ruler to register my first unit, then the spell is cast. I am then prompted to place the first unit; it may be on a surface, a moving object or a specific coordinate in relation to the planet? I used the third and determined the 0 centimeter point to be a few meters above where the mark is. The blue line snaps into place and now I can mentally extend or retract it in a straight line in relation to the earth's curve and consistently at its current height… thus, we flew in a straight line and have determined the Spell still functions up until as far as 28,180 meters away from the Mark, which divided by 5 is 5,636. The assumed number of my magic power..? Cool! Though I still need to find high mental attributed enemies to devour, as my physical attributes are currently much higher. Something to look forward too for monday, tomorrow.

4500 cubes pre-occupied by Greater Weal-Lifes readied, forward and retreat plans drafted, and a bunch of people eager to continue forth. By mid afternoon another group of people is standing on an area overlooking a meticulously expanded killzone, standing at the lowest stair level; the killzone that is now deeper, and much wider, having been expanded in the direction away from stairs—from a 5 meter cube area to four times that, and made to be 10 meters deeper than the stairs level. inevitably, the room above said killzone had grown with it. No longer being a donut shape; it followed the killzone in shape just expanded another 5 meters out in three directions; away from the stairs, and to both sides. The passage we plan to dig will now be about 7 meters below the stairs level, a hole in the killzone's west wall that leads in a straight line towards the natural tunnel.
Now, I may be capable of Blinking into that mysterious tunnel as it's easily within the range of my senses, but dare not for fear of it being anything else but air; magical mud maybe or some kinda earth attuned lava, who knows!? I ain't risking it.
Thus we begin. 8 miners, 4 each taking turns every 30 minutes while the same number of spellcasters in a similar manner of shift would work on the loose stones by compressing them onto the roof, floor and both walls respectively. The spellcasters would make sure to slightly sink their control deeper into the stones when they are done compressing. Two people, the healers, follow behind and place a Weal occupied cube on each side after every meter, determined by a Meteran Spell, also cast on each side by said healers. I managed to run a few tests these few days and confirm the cubes can survive ordinary combat encounters. The Weal within may also simply delve deeper leaving hiding behind compressed yet uninfused stone while it strived to maintain control of its area of responsibility in a slightly deeper depth.
Everyone this time had registered a Mark of Returning, just the basic 150 mana cast as we decided 5000 something range is plenty for a 500-ish meter dig. Billy is leading the team this time, accompanied by Kirana, Roy, and two of our experienced combatants; a spellcaster and a second tank, not people I recognize by name. The team of 5 walks along with the digging team. Their job being to protect everyone's retreat in the case of an attack. Each combatant is equipped to the brim with wands and their own arsenal of weapons… All this I view through Mana Sense and visualize for Henry, Jennifer and a lot of our key figures to watch back on the platform of our killzone.
As we watched, Henry began to say, "we traded some information from the Dwarves regarding these Quagxytes. First of all, they are incapable of phasing through non-earthen objects."
"And these are?" I ask.
"Well, in general. The earth contains Minerals, Rock, Soil and Water. But in this case, I believe non-earthen refers to things that are not rock or soil." He explained without really explaining to the less education eager members of our meeting. I personally get the idea of non-earthen material but nothing that may be considered such comes to mind. My face might just be showing him a confused look, this along with a few others showing a similar expression, prompted him to say. "I believe bones, plants, and rubber are good examples. They contain minerals, in different amounts, but are less rock-ish or soil-ish."
"Shall we test this conjecture?" One of the scientists said. I do not know him, nor will I ever, unless the need arises.
"That is, of course, necessary!" Henry replies, there is suddenly this mad scientist vibe oozing out of him, a glint in his eyes included. "All three along with various others shall be put to the test. It is imperative we prevent these creatures from freely coming in and out of our Territory as they so please. Now, in regards to our Dwarven allies, I was informed, they would embed several layers of impossibly pure metal into their already monstrously thick walls. I believe this countermeasure soun—"
I—within the strength limits of a normal man—flicked a rounded piece of my trilattic plate at his forehead. "Don't start talking weird!.. How can we test the non-earth materials?"
"I believe this may be accomplished through an elaborate experiment on our walls!!" The scientist interrupts, his whole body visibly giddy with excitement. He ranted about making it thicker, then placing said materials in between the metal and waiting to see if any Quagxytes can come out of them, bla bla bla, I stopped listening. "I am eager to overcome this challenge, to contribute more for our surviv—ouch!"
I didn't also smack his forehead with a trilattic plate-ball, nope. Playing innocent and wanting this to end soon, I hurriedly say. "Great, goodluck. Someone texts me only if he really really needs help. Next?"
Henry took this as cue to continue, and nobody interrupted his explanations this time, me included as he spoke regularly. "Second, they are assumed to be deeply connected with the foreign mana that infuses the stones. As any Quagxytes the Dwarves managed to capture and keep in captivity perished within the span of 15 - 25 minutes. Lastly, they can only mimic one creature from the moment they arrive until the moment they die or escape. Therefore, make it not earth enough that they can't pass or make it foreign for long enough that they take damage and flee. Then viola, we're Quagxyte free."
"Sounds like something we could use in this room." Jennifer offered, I assume talking about making this room Quagxyte free. Earning her agreeable nods from several people.
While we converse, the team below are suddenly surrounded by Quagxytes that appeared directly behind them. I force myself to stay calm, as me suddenly being there this instant would only accomplish one thing; giving the enemy more fuel.
