Gon and I are currently in the air above Singapore overlooking a decently walled off area, they too are under attack, and by the same enemies to boot. That does not bode well, as, how big of a population would the Greenskins… village? have to wage war on two fronts?
As we hover there with one part of my mind deep in thought—I Sense three incoming arrows. Each powerful enough to punch through Gon's torso in a vertical line, one hits my chest armor and still contains enough power to pierce through two layers of my Trilattic Swarm. I watch Gon dissolve and return into my Mindscape to recover.
Three more equally powerful arrows follow its previous trajectory. Again, one is on course to hit me. so, intuitively. I allow myself to fall and, purely with Mana Manipulation, apply a slight bit of force mana to push myself sideways. Letting all three fly past harmlessly.
Micro Flight. I maintain my position on the air, which turns out to be pretty cheap mana cost wise, and eye the archer who had incapacitated Gon.
Magico Disk, V2. One disk is summoned near my right arm, somewhere within the domain of my Mana Manipulation… Left arm, or right? I still remember that I'm here to make an alliance… but he dares hurt Gon! Bow user, two-handed, so it doesn't matter which. left then? The disk flies at my mental command and creates a large cut from the left outer shoulder down to the elbow. Tsk! He dodged.
Magico Disk… Another disk manifests where the last one did. He's pretty go—
"STOP PLEASE!"
—ood. Maybe I should end him before he has the chance to reta—
"WAIT! PLEASE FORGIVE SISTER Daiyu.. … …" The shout was inaudible after the first few words, whomever they are have such weak lungs… but, sister? Forgive?
Sufficiently distracted. I snap out of my tunnel vision to avenge Gon and hurt the archer-guy. Clear-headed, I re-observe the situation below. They are no longer aiming at me, some girl is kneeling besides stupid-archer while everyone else is busy defending their walls. Now that the pow—lame archer is incapacitated, they seem to be having trouble keeping up.
… Fine! Be diplomatic and stuff.
Two V3-permanent Magico Disks are summoned for 300 mana. I made both spin-fly together in a helix and started eliminating Hobgoblin Mages from my spot in the sky. There were 34 total, and now with the enemies source of magical attack and defenses dead. The humans begin pushing back. Satisfied, I quietly wait for them to finish, while still hovering right where I am. Too late to be low profile, might as well look impressive.
… Waiting is booring~
Slowly I transision from standing, to standing at ease, to sitting on the air and making plans to upgrade VLoS. The spell is great for group fights, especially in limitedly spacious areas like a building or a monster den, but not so much in open spaces such as this.
So, more AoE or mobility? Can I make it both?
I observe the war. There are strategic areas where a fifteen meters diameter AoE spell would cause great devastation to the enemies, and yet, there are more so areas where the enemies are too spread out that casting the spell becomes a waste of mana. If I'm down there, I would be casting VLoS on these strategic areas, and simply use single target spells for the rest… But nothing is stopping me from making VLoS be capable of doing the same, right? It is a Lord of Storms after all, not some mere offensive element.
"EXCUSE ME UP THERE!" A girl yelled.
Disturbed out of my Visualization, I look down and find them victorious. While eyes whose owners are uninjured, warily look up at me… I purposely stare down at them for a few moments before descending by gradually lowering my mana output.
"Thank you for your assistance with slaying those pesky mages!" The shouter-girl says enthusiastically. "What was that spell you used? I'm PingPing, may I get your name?"
"It was nothing." I totally forgot about the two disks, uhh. "My spells are classified information. But yes, you may know my name."
She looks kinda cute being all dejected and confused… but I gotta stay cool! So I look at the stupid archer beside her and ask, "so, this guy better have a good reason to have attacked and heavily injured Gon!"
The archer flinched at my targeted words, but before she could do anything Pingping interrupts, "no! Sister Daiyu didn't do it on purpose! It was a mistake… a mistake! She thought you were the enemy! Please forgive her okay!"
Right, sister… "How did sh—"
"At first when I inspected your dragon, it just showed me Spirit Familiar so we thought it was the enemy's familiar spying on us. I thought you and the dragon was one and our enemy. So we attack… then when it disappeared and you didn't. I inspected you again and the result was that you are human. So this is all a misunderstanding! Please forgive my sister Daiyu, it's my fault! Yes, my fault!!"
Then she dramatically closes her eyes and yells with determination, "if you wanna hit, hit me!"
How did she Inspected me? I was at least a few hundred meters away… "Think before you speak, Ping!" Daiyu said.
Pingping is probably the kind of person that would be affected by the latest drama she watches, acting and talking like how they do in the film. While Daiyu might be the cool no nonsense, action speaks louder than words kinda person. I look at the injuries I caused on the archer and… felt guilty. I may have lived in the future, and had modern education, advocate gender equality and stuff. But I was still taught to never unjustifyingly harm women.

"Sorry…" I blurted out, then offered with a steadier voice. "Here let me heal that."
At those words, they and everyone watching stood still in silence, "uh, I'm gonna need to check your wounds."
I slowly approach and observe her wound, it's a pretty deep cut from shoulders to elbow. During pre-integration, she would have required stitches, now that magic is real, one application of Lesser Heal did the job.
Then, a middle-aged authoritative looking person arrives with great timing and soon, I find myself proposing and detailing the usual alliance and our purpose; that is to survive and eventually thrive in the Multiverse. They said they too wishes to survive. And so, I became the proud owner of another rank 2 Mana Tower. Then, Mr Herman took over while I fly back for; Zoo Negara, the zoo Dungeon in Kuala Lumpur.
Yes! We have a dungeon to run!!
Zoo Negara pretty much runs on a similar system with Taman safari; five different biomes, and we walk on a path to different exhibits of our choice of a few available options that each contain animals for us to fight. I am currently delving with Kirana and four other locals; one volunteer from our Rumah and four local elite combatants that would be guiding the other locals on future delves. Atheer, who I used to differentiate as short among the first two guys I had meet being one of them.
So off we went into the dungeon, Kirana and I taught the four combatants as we go. By the time we were done, the sun had set and the new Territory had been established; Kediaman Lindung or—still—KL, abbreviated. And the other guy, tall, or who I now know as Tuah has been elected to be the leader.
I check my updates while the night grows deeper and our people settle down to rest.

All this creating alliance stuff is slowing down my progress, though I understand that it is necessary. Maybe I can speed things up.

An hour of rest later. As Gon is sadly still indisposed, I cast Micro Flight and depart for the north. Slowly my map unveils. The next group of people I found occupies Brunei; unlike KL, these people agreed to join forces to help each other survive the changes brought about by the integration. The leading figure occupying Brunei even went so far as to promise me that he would persuade his cousin back at old KL to join us.
A similar event took place in Manila, Philippines. I arrived following the sounds of combat, finding the area under assault by aquatic creatures; Merfolks. Creatures I assume to be Sapient aquatic lifeforms, capable of strategizing and tools crafting, from the looks of it. But, unlike humans, they live their lives more instinctively as opposed to moral-logical thoughts. Making them slightly more feral, and less likely willing to listen to reasons. Thankfully these guys are just as new to this as we are, more violent-actions, less strategic-meetings; this gives the humans a slight bit more advantage as the defending side of the war. My presence, as a healer—they can have the experience—tipped victory to the human's side!
After all that, they were quick to agree to working with us for the greater survival of humanity. Maybe I should find a city, incite a beast horde, then come to the rescue as that seems to work best in securing their cooperation…
Anyways, further to the north is a large expanse of water, the sea. So I turn left. And stumbled upon Phnom Penh who was also under attack, albeit much less by Merfolks. They're doing fine and elected to remain independent for now, but urged me to come visit in a few days when they have things under better control.
So eventually after a week of traveling upon my trusty familiar's back—Gon had recovered late at night the day after he got shot—we had allied up with six other cities; Hangi, Vientiane, Phnom Penh—who had achieved victory, Bangkok, Rangoon, and Myitkyina. Education has advanced enough pre-integration that we understand the need for peace, so most leaders we meet are eager to work together for the survival of mankind.
An hour and a half past midnight and the day has just turned into a Thursday, I am preparing to venture further yet. As we currently stand; to the north, east and south beyond our known land are the seas, so I am left with no choice but to choose a direction to our west. It is also worth of note that Atech and his twin are close to creating a functioning hoverbus, by combining old-world technology and Agus's newly designed mana engines.

As it turned out, my Soul Sense had stagnated due to a Threshold, one I have yet to understand. I had also found that the Toxic fly I stored within my Pocket Suspense retains 100% of its soul and physique upon getting devoured, so I started storing ideal targets within as I found them throughout the day, saving me time from having to hunt daily—including several corpses worth of a small nest of Vespas I had stumbled upon.
So, having taken my half-hourly nap and devouring today's quota of ten levels, I set forth. A journey to the west!
