Chapter 54

"Do you have everything packed up?"

"I do, mom, don't worry." I answer for the nth time. We're currently gathered outside my Tower for a farewell party, just, with no partying involved. My conjured swarm is currently shaped as a simple light armor over a five-carrier ammunition-pouch like bag. Just some last minute shopping for Quasi-Inventory to use as extra storage. Therefore, one pouch now has approximately 3600 cubic centimeters of space and now have enough space to easily fit 20 potions; currently holding 8 health, 7 mana, and 5 minor stamina potions. Another one holds my Artisan's Durable Carver. Unfortunately, there has been no progress or luck for learning enchanting as of yet, not that I tried much. The rest are empty.

"Give it a rest dear." My dad says, calming her down with a shoulder hug. "He'll keep us informed, right?"

"Of course!" I say with confidence when his head turns to look at me. All of a sudden I felt something wrap around my legs, which turned out to be my niece, "Mini! I have to go, but we'll see each other soon. Okay?"

"You no have to go acek, you're going because you want choose to go." She's pretty insightful… I hug her back and grin awkwardly at ci Tif asking for help.

"It's, you don't have to go acek." Tiffany grabbed Mini off of me and corrected her grammar, "and, acek Zen is going because he decided to go."

"Okay mommy." She snuggled into her mothers embrace, "he ish." I had gotten curious about how kids develop now that status and levels are real and managed to find out that from birth, they gain 1 stat points per year upto a maximum of ten. But have their physical stats temporarily reduced with a seal of sorts until their fifteenth birthday, when they are considered responsible enough to be given free use of their abilities. Of course it is still possible for them to gain any Traits, Titles, Spells, and Skills, from talent, and/or effort anytime during their growth period.

We were almost done with the party-no-party when I sense a familiar mana signature and turn my head to see a rather disheveled person approaching us. "Hi, I just heard Zen is about to leave again?" I look at the Shaggy-wannabe… all he's missing is a talking dog and a mystery van! Wonder who he is.

"Agus! You finally came out of your cave." Jennifer said.

Agus?

"For your information! I have an enchanter's workshop, not a cave!" He replies to Jennifer with an offended tone but a wide grin on his face. "Finally got a prototype working, this will hopefully provide us with permanent self-sufficient lighting."

The knowledge that Agus is now an enchanter baffles me for a moment, before I tell him of the Light spell being self-sufficient at its peak mastery and how, in exchange, he describes his Lantern of Lighting that is supposed to nurture and keep the Light spell safe an---hopefully---alive forever, we also discussed the possibility of a collaboration in making awesome OP stuff befitting of an MC. An hour of discussion passes by before I finally take my first step out of Rumah.

'Status please, thank you.'

Awesome!

During my casual scout-ventures and supported by my superhuman physique. I had traveled as far as a few hundred kilometers in all four directions from Rumah, a feat I had achieved by running and had easily enough completed in between breakfast and dinner. The sea is now to our east and the island of Java is now positioned 90 degrees counterclockwise from its previous spot. Nature has reclaimed a large percentage of our civilization, and the few survivors I found were barely surviving. Any willing group of people I provided with what makeshift-secure safety I can build, free access to Magico Disk and Conjure Trilattic Swarm, as well as a pinned note on my map so a team from Rumah may come to evacuate them as soon as possible.

A week of traveling west brought me to Palembang, another Indonesian city. Our country's Motto; Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, means, we are all one regardless of our differences. So, following the core teachings within our hearts, their leader agreed to work together with us to create a union that strives to preserve humanity. Here, on a provided plot of land within their zone, I built my second Mana Tower; a rank 2 that I left completely blank and inaccessible beside to a similarly ranked LeyLink gate in its lobby, and a donation of 20,000 creds.

This allows me to provide them with exactly five basic spells only usable by one appointed person, 210% mana regen within a five km radius, 81 minutes of portal access with a cooldown of about two days, lastly to provide the leader with a means of communication and spare funds. All this comes to a total of 5,160,000—we call it our basic work-together plan, or pack… or whatever. Also included is dragging the leader off for dinner back at Rumah to get introduced to everyone else.

The next three days of Hasted travel following directions brought me to Medan, in these times of crisis. our motto still stands and they too agree to collaborate with us and Rumah. Here, I apply another complete basic work-together pack—including dinner, to the delight of my mother.

Another next three days leading to a sunday I spent exploring the area, unfogging my map, so to say. Finding Kuala Lumpur by coincidence in between Palembang and Medan, I made a note on my map but left without much ado. I also made sure to leave large forests, high mountains and deep bodies of water alone for now, they are typically habitats of powerful creatures. No reason to disturb them while they're still minding their own business and giving us time to shore up our defenses.

East of KL is Singapore, I figured that out simply from the way they are neatly organized and by listening in on the unique way they speak to each other. Past Singapore, I'm back in indonesia, kalimantan from the sounds of it, a little eavesdropping didn't hurt anyone. The former west–now south Kalimantan is near enough with Palembang that I decided against building another Tower. Shoring up their defenses, support will come from Rumah and the nearby Territory. So moving on, I follow the fogged area on my map north.

Then, in under a month of flying around using a new spell I had lately kinda-created; Micro Flight, I have managed to explore most of Indonesia, building three other Towers and providing the whole package to the leaders of Surabaya, East Timor and Tanjung Selor.

All in all, a total of five surviving cities have joined us. From here, it is their—in collaboration with Rumah's—job to find, support and recruit the smaller populations strewn about our country. While I begin exploring the few dungeons I have found. Thus, I once again cast my newest---I wouldn't call it original---spell; Micro Flight and took to the air above Rumah. 'Inspect! Skip incomplete note Ty.'

Micro Flight - Early. Journeyman Rank. Various mana cost. Spend mana, to shrink into 10% of your total mass and volume, then encompass yourself with a geometric force barrier in a shape of your choosing, every [MAtk/60] minutes. Pushing mana through parts of the barrier creates directional propulsion force in the opposite direction. At a speed of [MAtk] meters every ten mana, the more mana the stronger the force created.

So~, I am no aviation expert which meant there were no professional calculations involved. After days of trial and error, I simply form a diamond shaped barrier around me and create a downward force on all four bottom-flat-sides to send me up into the air, then it's just all feeling from there, by slightly tilting forward, I generate thrust by sending mana backwards, and maintain elevation by sending a tiny bit of mana downwards, lastly, I navigate by sending some to the left or right. The spell is a combination of Shrink Touch and simple force mana application, which I don't believe makes it original, but the system considers it so. Worthy of mention is a few of its downsides; one, by being smaller, more creatures consider us prey. I solve this by activating my swarm armor's camouflage effect. And two, a bit of time is required for the spell to take effect or disengage.

A few minutes of flight and a little less than 300 mana was all it took, I found myself descending at the foot of an unnamed mountain approximately 40 kilometers south of tangerang. From where I am standing, I can see two mountain peaks each with half of a core cut vertically. No doubt any signs of its pre-integration name have turned to dust. The mountain had appeared on my map as a Dungeon; Hills of Awareness. Maybe what we constitute as a mountain—rocky, hazardous, tall—are mere easily climbable hills in the multiverse.

All done observing the scenery, I took a step forward… and two… five..

Hills of Awareness

On my eighth step a system prompt appeared before my sight, on the exact spot where I would find it easy to read, and yet, the exact moment I did, it's gone. Knowledge pack zero-zero-blah-blah informed me that this is a Field Dungeon. Also, simultaneously, right before me; a coffee table sized rock began liquifying upwards into the shape of a monkey. A twister of wind compresses together into the form of giant Squaill and a slightly ethereal bush uprooted itself out of an identical intact bush.
