The awkward silence continued for a few minutes before a knock in the door could be heard.

"Come in" said Amon before the door opened showing the sight of an old butler entering the room.

Once the old man entered the room he bowed slightly towards Amon before saying

"Your Highness the King told me to ask about the incident last night"

Hearing that Amon simply said in a casual tone "That guy tried to take advantage of my servant and after witnessing that I killed him any problems with that?"

" No certainly not your Highness, may I be allowed to ask of which servant you are talking about ?"

While slightly pointing towards a bulge on his bed, he answered

"The one who is currently hiding under my blanket. So do you have any other question you like me to answer or was that all?"

Throwing a slight glance towards the bed the old butler answered with a knowing smile on his face "Oh I understand, I will relay that to his majesty and won't bother you any longer your Highness."

However, before he could leave, Amon said, "While you are at it, tell the head maid that I'll keep the maid named Sophie as my personal servant from today onwards. Besides that, make it known that I don't like it when someone tries to touch my stuff. That should probably ensure that something like the incident from yesterday will not happen again."

Once Amon said that, he added, "You can leave now".

"I will do as you ordered your Highness" replied the old butler before leaving.

Shortly after the door closed again, Sophie slowly stuck her head out from under the blanket seeing that Amon said to her

"As I said to you yesterday I plan on looking around the capital for a bit, so after you are done hiding yourself do you mind if we go?"

"We can go right away, your Highness. However, about what you said to Mr. Sebastian..."

Amon looked at her confused, "What do you mean?"

"Well the way you phrased it won't everyone believe we slept with each other tonight"

Slightly smiling, Amon explained "Yes everyone will think that's the case, but this was more or less my intention. Do you think anyone will bother you ever again if they think that we have that kind of relationship with each other ? Besides that, even though I'm not really interested in having that kind of relationship with a little girl like you, maybe I will eventually and that prevents anyone from snatching you away."

After hearing that, Sophie tried once again to crawls back under the blanket to hide her red face but this time with no avail as Amon snapped his fingers while using a spell which caused the blanket to magically fly away leaving Sophie out in the open.

"I really think that side of you is quite entertaining, but to be honest,but I don't really want to wait for you finding the courage to stop your hiding. If there is nothing else, how about we leave now?"

Left with no choice, Sophie crawled out of the bed while replying with a low voice "Yes your Highness".

A few minutes later both of them left Amons chamber behind and walked in a leisure manner towards the exit of the castle.

However, like always wherever Amon walked by, everyone present fell on their knees hoping not to get noticed by him.

Seeing a few who even cast a sorrowful look toward Sophie who was walking loyally behind him in her maid outfit, Amon concluded that the Butler probably did his job and told anyone about Sophie.

'Well by the looks on their faces they most likely think I forced myself on her... well whatever it's not like I care that much about my image here anyway but getting all that attention is bothersome, I should probably do something about that.'

And so shortly after they left the castle and when no one was looking at him, he cast a simple illusion spell to change his appearance slightly.

Even though he couldn't use any high level spells because his body is till an apprentice and his control over the void laws would only help him erase things, he found some useful apprentice level spells in the memory of the devoured magus.

However, in Sophie perspective that was everything else but not simple.

Born as a commoner, she never really had that much contact with magi, so seeing how Amons face and hair changed suddenly left her gasping with a open mouth.

Amons hair changed from its silver color into a dark black while his eyes changed from the deep blue into a dark brown while his skin started to lose its pale appearance and slowly gained some color.

All in all, even thought he looked extremely similar to before, no one would think they are the same except those who could see through the illusion.

Seeing Sophie's expression full of awe he simply said "this is a pretty easy spell it just adds an illusionary cover over oneself, this doesn't really change how someone looks, spells to completely change one's appearance are way more complicated compared to an illusion.The illusion spell I used right now is even written in the book I gave to you, so you can learn it yourself if you want."

Hearing that, Sophie just nodded slightly, still not really believing she could one day do something like that herself.

And so they left the castle for a trip through the capital.
