After Amon and Sophie finished their lavisious dinner, Sophie cheerfully started to clean up the table while putting the used plates back on the silver tray.

During their whole meal, a happy smile adorned her face while she was conversing with Amon.

While they were eating they talked about all kind of thing, at first Sophie was quite shy and didn't dare to talk much but as they conversed Sophie got more and more comfortable while talking with Amon and even talked about herself quite a bit.

Apparently she was a new maid in the castle who got into that position due to her grandmother who was working as a kitchen maid in the royal castle.

During that conversation Amon grew quite fond of her and her shyly slightly clumsy behavior.

After Sophie finished cleaning up the table and was prepared to leave Amon said to her

"Come back to my room tomorrow morning I want to have a look around the capital and I need someone to guide me besides it's boring walking around alone"

Sophie agreed happily almost forgetting everything else but a few seconds later she remembered that she had other duties to fulfill tomorrow.

And now she had spent the last few hours with the prince completely forgetting about her chores

'I hope the head maid is not angry with me that I couldn't do it today, well if I explain to her that the prince needed help she would probably understand. However, if I have to do all the cleaning tomorrow I won't have any free time to go with the prince.'

Noticing her complicated look, Amon asked her, "What is bothering you ?"

Sophie answered in a low voice, "I just remembered that I still have some chores to do, and I don't think I will have time tomorrow, your Highness".

Seeing her being troubled by such a minor problem, Amon laughed slightly and said, "Just tell however wants something from you that you are my personal servant from now and don't have to do what they tell you. If someone bothers you, just tell me, I'll take care of that".

Hearing this, Sophie was completely stunned, being the crown prince's personal servant was probably one of the most envied positions in the entire kingdom.

That hit her completely unprepared, and she didn't know how to reply.

Seeing her stunned like that, Amon broke the silence and asked, "By the way, how much do you earn as a maid per month?"

Sophie, who still wasn't really able to accept reality, answered unconsciously "20 silvers".

Hearing that, Amon closes his eyes for a second using his senses to check out everything in his room before walking towards a drawer and pulling out a little bag with about 20 gold inside before handing it to the still stunned Sophie "Here take it".

The already perplexed Sophie was once again completely overwhelmed, as she looked at what was inside of that bag.

She had to work hard for an entire month just to get 20 silver and Amon just now casually gave her a bag full of gold coins each worth 100 silvers.

Tightly grasping the bag with tears of joy brimming within her eyes, still not able to speak.

Seeing her expression, Amon sighs, 'well that was probably a bit too much to handle at a time for a little girl like her'.

So he laid his hand on her back and escorted the perplexed Sophie back to the door but not without secretly creating a small sphere of void inside her heart.

That wouldn't hurt her, but he would be able to sense it if her heart rate increased, like it would if she faced danger.

Without waiting for Sophie to recover from her perplexed state he closed the door behind her while saying with a kind smile "no need to thank me, have a good night, let's meet again tomorrow" leaving her alone in the hallway.
