"When Hikari first came into this world, it already had the building blocks it needed to set itself in motion. As it was rigorously studied by evolutionary biologists, contrary to the Church's beliefs about her creator aspects, her mere presence must have effected it's evolution on both an intentional and accidental way. As in, she can mold Obsulyte, which is a stupid powerful ability, more than you think, but her basic genes, her D.N.A., must have also molded the way that humans in this world came to be. Well...initially. Because I remember very, very vividly, that my world was saved upon destruction from her. In her eyes, from the world she came from, this unintentional event as she called it, was a reason to mold a utopia out of. But later down the line, when more and more mysterious worlds appeared and snapped onto Zero...that thing Drima called, a 'Collapse' happened. It was an earthquake...no, something much larger. It shook the Quantum Irregularity through the Void and the Abnormal String. It was as if everything clustered together on top each other. I fought many battles with Overseers from other worlds who sough to destroy Zero, Makaro and Kikaro included. It never once affected this world, much less any else, but the catastrophic events of what this world was about to do to others...it's destruction was justified."
"So she came into a barren world first, whose presence is suspected of her being the accidental creator?"
"Life and evolution is like a stable rock on a hill. Kick it down, and it will keep rolling."
"And that whole world saved thing?"
"My world hosted a very large array of completely non-human and human species, that of fiction in your world. Coincidentally, some were recognized by Hikari as beasts and beings from her world's works of fiction. Those began as the initial settlers, having been formed out of pure Obsulyte manifested, sometimes mixing and matching with genes of two species to one, or forcing simplifications. As for me, as the Overseer of that world, because of research, I found about my cell renewal, my near immortality, rebirth due to the same Obsulyte and the such when the world rapidly progressed when I arrived to reach the ability to do so. However, before that, I was slowly watching it all crumble. My world succumbing to a universe's natural decay. And then, I remember waking in a new world. How did I know it was new? The stars. Because then, I woke up beneath a different sky. Afterwards, things got complicated upon Makaro and Kikaro's arrivals."
"Arrival? Wait, so...to put it very, very roughly. We all got dragged in a funnel? Because if you woke up here, not remembering the journey that you should have taken along with Makaro and Kikaro to arrive...hmm, no. That can't be right. The teachings of the Holy Book always talked about family being a thing between the three, with their existence being solidified about beings, often omnipotent with human forms, being born into this world...but we of course don't talk about the actual birthplace of those beings.", he tried to wrap his head around it.
Lina, ever so curious, was quick to jump out, in a burst of excitement as she eavesdropped on Dante and Mellistar conversing, surprising them both as they failed to notice her somewhat childish and obvious hiding.
"Wait! From different worlds?! You're kidding!", Lina was pumped full of excitement.
"Kid, this is a serious talk. We're trying to piece something together here.", Mellistar was annoyed.
"But you just admitted into being from a different world! Hence...we're in an isekai!", she jumped around, "That means that we can go ahead and fight monsters, become stupid strong and save the world by beating the bad guys!"
Mellistar got weirded out, "Right."
"Can you blame the kid for living in a fantasy?", Dante commented at Mellistar's reaction, being somewhat understanding and oddly happy in Lina's presence.
"I can if her excitement is pruned to getting her killed. Her making you happy because of her foolishness is something to be worried of instead."
"No-no!", Lina pointed her finger, "I'll make everyone happy eventually, just you see! It's part of a good person's job, to be useful, brave, and happiness bringing to others! Plus, mister Dante could use a lot of happiness right now!"
"Hapinness-bringing? And why are you confusing seriousness with sadness-oh whatever.", Mellistar tried to make sense of the over excited Lina.
"Mellistar, she's like 10.", Dante angrily said.
"We're in a world full of monsters, with complex individual country leaders looking to go to war because of their knowing, *again*. What flexibility in our schedules do we have for fantasies? Plus, no one is forcing me to change the tone of the conversation because some annoying, cute little kid wanted to jump around because of it's ignorant perspective.", he argued.
Dante caught onto Mellistar's words, "Oh, really? No time? Screw you for hiding what I'm forcing you into saying now, for months since this started and for all the years I've harbored you. This is where I put my foot down, you're not messing up the kid's world."
"Out of everything, that is it?"
"You want me to argue about the how and why you concealed the fact you're from some god knows world in the Abnormal String instead?", he folded his arms.
"You're afraid that if I say anything that'll burst her bubble you'll face Luna, aren't you."
"Putting the moral obligation and kindness I have for protecting her innocent perspective from your ruthless truth call...yes. Because Luna is, frankly, horrifying when she's pissed.", he acknowledged.
Luna then swooped in and subdued Lina in a flash, grabbing her like one would a little kitten and dragging her away as she looked at both Mellistar and Dante, knowing well that whatever they were talking about was all that her little sister wanted to hear.
"Hey, unfair!", Lina protested.
"Running away and hiding without playing hide and seek has raised my anxiety for your well being. To get close to adults talking about serious things and disturbing the conversation is rude. You are to receive appropriate punishment from my conviction. No watching cartoons tonight.", Luna delivered her punishment.
Lina got angry momentarily, "What?! No! And it's not cartoons, Luna, it's anime! It's considered literature and-"
"It's final.", she interrupted Lina by dragging her away.
"I will be a really cool warrior, just you wait! I'll kick and punch the evil monsters away, mister Drima will help me do it too, just you wait until tomorrow!", she yelled.
Dante and Mellistar simply watched as Lina was dragged away, not giving too much too much thought into it as they both watch with stoic faces as they were released from the swift happiness burst that Lina delivered.
"Fun endeavor.", Dante shrugged.
"So as I was saying. Hikari's largest mistake was to start almost immediately tempering with Zero on multiple scales, forcing limitations like 'Ikarisa's Balance', which failed, and a number of others."
Dante dropped all sorts of facial and bodily expressions and turned to look at Mellistar's armored ghost in the head around the eyes, "So damage control. And how exactly do we all tie into this? I mean, you just admitted that we may have a battle with possibly infinite Overseers, which only tells me that there's bad news ahead. The scope of this is getting more out of hand every minute. And you are to blame, alongside with Hikari and Enemy. Don't think that I haven't caught on to your little façade yet. You guys are actively screwing us over, and god knows how many other people in uncountable infinity here. You love Hikari as a lover and Enemy as her lapdog, or something. You concealing information like this, daring to mask it either over the excuse of 'I've been waiting for you to unlock you powers.', or simply being cornered into admitting it is going to kill us all. I'm not a messiah, my powers like everything in this infinite bubble universe realm we explore are very much finite, for something like my flesh, skin and bones to conceal it. I had always known that as a true fact, especially having to enforce it on myself to not get carried away and ride the god complex wave some of you are almost looking like you're trying to get me on, by the 'Oh, you'll explode and destroy the world'. If I were to subjectively scale my abilities to someone like Enemy's, we'd probably level each other evenly. But that without factors like short and sweet, or prolonged combat. I'm convinced at this point, it's not the world that wants something out of me, it's you. You're prolonging something that will eventually become inevitable, if you don't spill out everything you know, right now. *If* there's any way to solve this mess of a world we were unwillingly born in, it'll be done by the actions of many. Before powers like these, no one can stand to do it alone. I'd love to do that, believe me, but there's many reasons I can't. Starting from the fact that when it sure as hell is affecting all of us, all of us are going to do something about it, and ending with the undeniable fact that no matter individual strength, there'll be more of it in numbers."

A long pause came from Mellistar as he felt dreadfully unprepared to face such questions and accusations, putting on a face of a disgraced child, one caught to have indulged in errors far beyond what narrow punishments would provide amendment to. If even a floating-half armored spirit that aided Dante along, he was, like Enemy, still a culprit into gatekeeping a secret most devastating to the survival of many worlds after the one they currently called home. And so, with the journey coming up to the point where paths were to be walked on without anyone's footing but the only one to follow, and lines drawn that would either separate or keep them together, it was then that confusion on the task at hand was to be disbanded.
"My name was Dante Elise. The continent of Elise was named after me, not Tallulah. On the day where the war of Zero came into a hiatus, I fought Makaro, Kikaro and Cecilia in the Abnormal String and I nearly succeeded into bringing Makaro to his end before focusing on Kikaro who stopped me. They are not related, any of them, other than being upheld as a divine trinity of gods that those who wished to believe upon seeing such a events, glorified. Unlike me being 'chosen' and dragged into this, they arrived to Zero by following the very obvious signs of the first Collapse across the Abnormal String to here. And the road was filled with challengers, other Overseers of lesser decree that died trying to get to Zero and destroy it. In general, each cosmos will always have an Overseer, either a copy of a timeline or a unique but similar of an alternate universe, something which we found the very, very hard way when the Void first cracked and we witnessed it unfold above the skies of Zero. I was with Hikari at the time, and many more were the Overseers with us. Some that weren't killed off when dragged into Zero included the Sentinels that were forced into serving the then granter Obsulyte users we classify as Overseers. However, it went to absolute hell when not just Makaro and Kikaro, but a bunch of other Overseers came from the signs of the first Collapse into Zero. And all of them wanted a way into this world for one reason and one alone. To destroy it and ensure the grander scale survival. It boiled down to few remaining, like us now, but violence was obviously not the answer to it all. Yet, unlike what the preaching of most that we are far granter, they succumbed to the human nature of mass panic that shouldn't have done so. Had they worked in unison instead of selfishly looking after their universes alone and without acknowledging any more after, Zero's destruction was an absolute guarantee. But that, along with many other questions, set the prejudice for a lot of...nasty subjects. But I am not to talk, when their universe's lives were at stake, while mine was erased, but kept alive through here. Zero, in my eyes, is like...a second chance. A world born from others dying. Because all universes eventually wither, and along with it even Overseers. Zero, however, until modified by it's invasive species of humans and other humanoids, will simply never decay, on account of it recycling it's constant use of this mysterious 'Obsulyte'. In direct contradiction, however, the world is under a mass energy crisis kept hidden from public, probably until breaking point. But truth be told, that seems unbelievable for Zero specifically. There is no way that could ever happen, as far as I'm aware. Because where the constant laws of the universe eventually failed to apply, Zero is a tumor on the side of an infinite expansion. Think of it as a box that expands evenly outwards, Zero being stuck on one of it's sides. That side is bottlenecked, and it never expands again, while the other's do, eventually looping back from both sides, collapsing on itself and...well, popping like a balloon. Hence why, it bottlenecks energy to itself, eventually becoming the power source for a number of infinite worlds that expands beyond it's bottleneck. Ironically enough, Drima's hypothesis before the constant wars for domination started might actually be correct, as he was always a leading, but hidden, scientific researcher."
"If it's not able to be depleted then...it's barriered. Something is dragging that energy back and is feeding off of it. Had it been other nations, by now, someone would've ordered for genocide on them for sure."
"A horrifying thought. The thing produced from barricading such a massive energy flow is just an awful thought. Mind you, the only reason why humanity was never able to expand itself on Hikari's world, is their short lived energy power, their batteries, something that the humans in this world expanded quickly upon, when finding it in such abundance."
"Shadowers seek it, and Enmities have it. There's a clear correlation between their alliance, but I'm seeing far less Enmities that Shadowers. And like you said, if this world was 'invaded', by Hikari and her molding cause it to be this way, this must mean that these things are rapidly evolving as a native tumor to this world too, one that seeks to outpace for survival...pure instincts. And they've shown mind boggling progress within just months. The aftermath of the last war...could the Collapse be a part of it? It must be. Something awoke these things, because it took two full years for the world to heal in places where massive, extinction like events with energy weapons happened. Still, by discharging something so grand to be given the ability to cause 'extinction'...something held back that energy, released from dark matter and Obsulyte weapons. Still, go on with what happened within the Abnormal String. Anything."
"Right. I fought Makaro and Kikaro after they arrived. The War Of Zero had two sides, one containing Hikari, Four Pillars and the Sentinels under her command...the other Makaro, Kikaro, me, and a bunch of others. Up until that point, I was in mad love with Hikari, as my mind succumbed to many romantic tales of rebirth, a second chance, a way to do everything right. But when I was first explained to, the scale of death that this world would bring into others. Something Hikari did not take to heart at all. I...it felt as if all the buildup we once had was so absolutely demolished when I opposed her like that. I don't know what the hell happened, but Hikari did something truly awful. The Four Pillars and Sentinels she once leveled with, she controlled them by enforcing some sort of manual change in their very biological system, something like a virus. Those horrid infestations, Enmities, rained from the Void on above, and all together, they opposed all Overseers including some who popped out of the Void that were humans, intellectual and everything, and they'd eventually name themselves as Abyss Hunters. Being somehow the initial settler, alone in Zero, she was extraordinarily powerful. She annihilated opposition, all but me, Makaro and Kikaro, where the course of the battle forced us into the Abnormal String. It was then that I got closer to Hikari again, only to ask her a few questions next. She told me that, she never once cared for nothing more than to see childhood drawings of her to life, that when dragged into this world, it was a dream manifesting. Throughout her life, she wanted to be a hero and make a utopia where the strong never existed, and to have that all stripped away from her now was a pain like the one she felt into her world. The confusion in her head is so, so immaculate. She wanted to help those without power raise themselves up, without her being powerful as to not eventually intoxicate herself in. She wanted to be a hero, saving worlds who got a second chance, but lamented that her body acted against the logic in her mind that 'if not for this world, so many other's wouldn't be in danger', thus making herself a true evil. She cried and cried all the time as she remembered her life, the one she brought into this world by guiding Obsulyte into creating it, questioned many different things, lowered her defenses and weapon and almost paralyzed from fear and anxiety about right and wrong at the moment."
"Hmm...that so?", Dante saw himself in Hikari.
"Hikari, by proxy meant 'Light', from her 'Earth'. She was the light that couldn't see. When boiled down to it's core, her plan, though oh-so childish, stereotypical and unachievable for humanity's nature, was born in nothing more than the blissful and pure ignorance of her heart, which was truly as solid as gold. She told you, back in Kaci, did she not? She still hasn't managed to find out where she stands...but she still wishes for the right thing. I fell in love with her for that, and until the last moments we were together, I never stopped reminding myself how much I owed to her. My anger about my world dying being reset when around her for mere days...you have to be a god to do something like that, and I'm not overstating a thing. She attracted me because of her beauty, she kept me there because of everything aside from it. Every, single, thing."
"I have to envy you somewhat. I guess the stories of romance I read as well were a thing that could exist, if the way you're portraying it actually is how it felt after the usual honeymoon phase."
"You can't deny that deep down, as a friend, you can't help but love her too. Blaming her for what happened to you is not what you really want, is it?"
"It's...not. But I don't know why I did, or do. As if I want her to harbor the burden while I kick her down...am I an asshole, as selfish as they get?"
"Had you been, Enemy would've slit your throat. Because she too, can say the same from her perspective about you. You guys...I'm dying, Dante. You will be left alone, and if there's one thing I don't want to do, is to force you, the person who held onto me outside of the Obsulyte heavy field that is the Elysian Plains Tallulah created, to be affected in the eyes of others because of me. I'm sure, she'd want that too. You are your own person, aside from Cecilia and aside from your powers, and I acknowledge that. I'd rather die a horrific death again and again, one that'd end me, to force this world that build itself upon the same emotions Hikari had into logic, instead of watching it all crash down like it almost did once."
"What more can we do to change anything, when all has been set in stone?"
"Nothing is set in stone, Dante. Nothing. Whenever they say that everything has been done, it just means that over what you now know how to do, there's more you need to learn how to. There's never a ceiling that can't be raised, otherwise, everyone would sit around and wait to die under the lack of new prospects. It sounds weird for me to be teaching you these things, but I feel obligated. You are considered an adult without having ever really grown up in many aspects, your friends too, which was to be expected under the awful circumstances your generation was born into. But the more this journey takes you down this road, know that you'll grow with every step you take along with who you, not anyone or powers, choose."
"Dying...I see."
"With the same powers and more I granted you. Now, as with all it touches...it too, must turn on itself and decay."
