CHAPTER 256

Moyo twisted in the air, body curling as he released a burst of power, pushing back the aspect of abyss that sought to encapsule him. His heart kept pounding, eyes wide as he unleashed hit after hit of dominion and Gegun simultaneously. He landed with an explosion, sage’s sight burning with power as he moved with a clap of power, crashing into Lesuth who summoned a wave of power, seeking to take control of his body.

His bones ached, his eyes swam and his hands trembled, still he swung, infusing an edict into it,

“Da pa da!” the wave of power repulsed back to the defiler who slammed his feet into the ground, giving a bestial roar, the grey blade in his hand crashing down towards Moyo.

Wukong was there, staff crashing into the blade as he dropped a punch on the armor of the defiler. It rang with a pulse of explosion, blowing everything and everything in their surroundings. Ears ringing, Oshosi screamed as Gegun intercepted Remhu, the glowing blade of the afflicter close to his body pushing him to unimaginable agony. The afflicter screamed in his face, fury warping everything around him as diamonds and masters alike fell to their knees, screaming in agony,

“WHAT DID YOU DO?!” he roared,

“What did Araman promise you?!” Remhu asked again as he pummelled Moyo into the ground, his sight swimming,

Tiamat came out of nowhere, a large horror looking bear that looked like the skins of different creatures had been stitched together to create it grabbed the afflicter who roared. She slammed a punch into his face, reality rippling before the blow crushed him into the ground, a crater the size of a stadium forming around him. Moyo struggle to his feet, Oya's elixir healed him rapidly, Moyo burning aspect and Ashe just as quickly.

The mother of monsters took one look at him and snapped her fingers as pathways opened up and large colossal monsters filled the air, all weird amalgamations. A kraken looking ape, a giant insect with razor sharp edges all around it body as well as other assorted creatures. They landed around the battlefield, each burning with the power and authority of a ruler and more, just not ancient ranked yet. Turning their wrath to Remhu and Lesuth, Moyo afforded himself a glance in the direction of Araman and shuddered.

The lord of destruction now had a blade burning with two aspects, destruction and bloodlust, an aspect he had stolen from his fellow abyssal lord. Kairos battled the lord of destruction in a fury of blows that tore and remade the planet around them, his living armor resonating with every swing of the blade he made. The aspect of the king of monsters rose like a tidal wave, tainting what little aether was around him, bending it to his will and unleashing it on Araman like the claws and fangs of a monster.

Araman though, fought back with a fury of power rivalling Kairos, matching him blow for blow even as both of them seemed to be sustaining life threatening injuries while healing at a mind-boggling rate, the injuries vanishing the moment they landed. Moyo staggered as Remhu gave a loud bellow, cursing Araman who ignored the abyssal lord, with a burst of his aspect, the titan protected the diamonds, masters and rulers for miles even as lances of pure brutal destruction rained down from above, the weapons of the vessels belonging to the forces of the Archailect rained down around them, exploding in the midst of the abyssal forces. No time to think if they had somehow crushed the carnage striders, Moyo moved again even as his body was back in a somewhat stable state.

Drawing from the prime aspect would wreak his body the more, and with him now being wary of Araman, he dove towards Remhu, dominion blazing with intent and veneration. Landing close to the abyssal lord as they clashed blades, he activated sage’s shield, protecting the forces around him from the worst of Remhu’s aspect. A sphere of purple diamond shaped defense sprung up around him, taking a beating as Remhu hammered at it,

“Fool!” the afflicter growled,

“Even now you inadvertently do the bidding of the destroyer turn betrayer” he said,

“Let us reach a parley, I will spare your followers, and you help me bring down the destroyer” Remhu said, his voice thundering across the landscape,

Araman gave a throaty laughter from his position even as Kairos hammered his form into the very crust of the planet,

“Begging for your life Remhu?” the voice of the destroyer came from his position,

Remhu growled even as lightning struck him in flashes of concussive powers respectively, Ardos, primordial and thunderer dropped tectonic bolts after bolts of the afflicter, his body burning with power as he landed next to the titan,

“Go, destroy the destroyer, stop that monster before he completes his plans” he boomed,

All around the primordial, constructs floated out of pathways that carried the smell of storms, mythical ranked weapons powering to life as they hammered down of Remhu whose elite somehow appeared right in front of him, tanking the first of the shots. Moyo spared no glance, Ardos was a primordial, if he couldn’t hold his own, then no one could, meaning the last abyssal lord was Lesuth who was in a battle of pure speed with Tengoku Junzo.

The Omnifox split himself into five parts, each wielding an ancient level ability. The fox wove around with his clones that commanded one part of his powers each, aura, mana, intent, authority, veneration and Junzo himself commanding his aspect. The fox barely spared him a glance, a knowing look that only he could bring the battle to a head, Moyo agreed. The moment he moved, a subtle vibration took the entire battlefield, the guns of the cities in the distance pounding still, but every single power on the field turned their gaze to the direction of Araman.

Kairos blasted backwards, his armor cracked and leaking aspect and essence, his gaze thunderous. Araman was a twisted mess of flesh and bones, even as he healed through what would have been agonizing pain to an average ascender, he maintained the infuriating grin on his face. a searing cry of a bird drew the attention of everyone to Raye who flew above the destroyer, a large ball of phoenix fire forming as she prepared to drop it on the destroyer,

“INCINERATE” She commanded,

The ball shot forwards with all the power it could muster, the very ground steaming, its target already alight with fire from its mere proximity. A rip in space opened and out from it stepped a being Moyo hadn’t imagined he’d meet again,

This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it

Shayne blight touch, elite of Araman,

The moment he appeared, right above Raye, Thorian was there, his fist clashing with the burning black and red blade of the elite. The ancient gave a thunderous roar as Shayne was blown apart, Moyo praying that was the end of the elite. He would have suspected something if it had happened anyways, the elite coalescing in front of his lord before the ball hit, an aura of black and red suffusing his frame as he held the fire at bay, his body burning even as he weathered the command of an ancient.

Maia chainer and Eogan appeared next to the elite, burning aspect and authority from their respective primordials, dropping concussive punches at the elite, blowing him away and disappearing from the gaze of Araman as the ball of fire detonated right on him. Kairos was there, gripping his weapon that had transformed into a long jousting pole, black and green power around it,

“SEPARATE” he commanded and pieced the mess that was Araman,

The destroyer gave a loud roar of pain, Moyo moving as hope burned in his chest, banishing Gegun but pouring veneration and aspect into dominion, the blade buring and glowing like a watchtower on a dark night. He swung the weapon, blasting the intent layered with his powers down at the destroyer, reality shaking,

“OBLITERATE!” he thundered,

Two commands from two of the most powerful powers of the Archailect landed within the same spot as reality around there warped and twisted like elastic rubber, the cry of Araman coming from within the space. A blackhole formed, a miniature looking thing that shrunk smaller and smaller till it was the size of a golf ball, floating right where the body of the destroyer should had been. All battles seemed to seize with the disappearance of the destroyer, as if waiting for the other shoe to drop.

A thick darkness took over reality, like all the light in the universe went out, a sinister laughter filling the air as Moyo felt a cold feeling of terror slither down his spine. That laughter hadn’t sounded like Araman or any of the abyssal lords,

No, it sounded like that creature,

“Apophis” he thought with terror,

He released his aspect, allowing it to burn in a column of fire as it illuminated a small area around him, Kairos and the other primordials following suit, even as they felt their cores rapidly drain as they struggled to maintain it. The darkness receded, but Moyo shared a look with Kairos whose face echoed his fear. Tiamat was at his side in an instant, her eyes wide with fear as she whispered. It was then Moyo saw that reality had been leeched of its color, everything was black and white except the primordials who sought of resisted its power. Something fundamental had shifted in the Archailect, something terribly wrong, and its echo was being felt here and now.

The abyssal lords all screamed in what looked like madness as they abandoned their battles to force open pathways into the abyss proper,

They failed,

What came out weren’t anything Moyo or the rest of the Archailect forces had ever experienced, no, this where inky black creatures whose shapes couldn’t remain constant. The entire planet was thrown into madness, gold rankers at the cities began to kill themselves, devolving into terror inducing cries and those below that rank simply dropped dead. Diamonds screamed in terror and Moyo stumbled in shock as he noticed those close to him somehow maintained their sanity.

He unleashed his core realm, willing the realm to manifest in this deary place as the presence of the prime aspect that materialized as a sun burnt the creatures even as it drove him to his knees in pain. Ashira was at his side, protected by her blade that contained a bit of Aserite. Idris, Annika, all related to him in one form of the other appearing as they held their heads, feeling the oppressive power of the creatures that manifested.

No one noticed, not the primordials who were busy shouting orders to their masters who struggled under the power of the creatures that appeared,

“Chaos!” Moyo screamed as the creatures turned to him,

Shrieks of anathema rung in the air as they turned their ire at the titan,

“ANATHEMA!” they screamed again, driving everyone to their knees,

A Shieldborne sought to place himself between the creatures and the titan when they simply hazed past him, leaving nothing but glowing armor and polished bones in place. Moyo knew it would kill him, or, whatever state of death it would leave him as a pseudo primordial, but he accepted it when he shouted the words, unaware of what was going on behind him,

“LIGHT!” he roared,

The primordial aspect shook and then exploded like a supernova even as his mind shut down, burning bright like the sun as it vanquished every of the chaos creatures around, leaving them as piles of ashes. Moyo blanked out in that moment, feeling his core drain too rapidly as his mountain realm cracked, his deific forge cracked and his thrones shut down.

He found himself in a white place, standing alone without anything in sight for as far as the eyes could see. Turning all around, he saw nothing, simply himself in a place, he watched as motes of purple light began to form, creating a humanoid shape as a dark-skinned man took form. The presence gave off the feeling of safety, of calmness and surety in his presence,

Protection,

It was one-word Moyo could use to describe the presence, and even as he was rooted to the spot, he watched as the gold-colored eyed man stared at him with a soft smile,

“Dad?” he whispered,

The being gave a light chuckle,

“Not quite” it said, its voice echoing around wherever they were,

Moyo knew immediately as the being nodded its head, snapping its fingers as the entire area transformed into his realm, the mountain of the titan as well as the aspect sea. Moyo spoke the name, awe and as close to veneration as Moyo would ever have for a being coming out of his mouth,

“titan” he said,

“You could call me that” the titan said,

“The first, alpha, father as Lotes once whispered at her inception, the one, the beginning, creation, the list goes on” he said,

Moyo simply stood dumbfounded, mouth opening and closing in shock,

“Loved what you did with the realm though, a little too colourful for me but it’ll work” the titan murmured almost to himself,

“How?” Moyo said, the word finally coming from his mouth,

The titan turned to him,

“Hmm?, oh, apologies for the form I took first of all, I figured it was the closest form to take without scaring you” the titan replied,

“I have always existed within you, a sort of last wish of the true titan, see I’m only an echo of the being that once existed you know” the titan said,

Moyo seemed to regain his bearings,

“Then that means..” he said, unable to complete the sentence,

“You, my reincarnation, have succeeded in totally overusing the aspect of creation, burning your poor mortal frame from the inside out” the titan said with a chuckle,

“Aspect of creation?” Moyo asked,

“The golden sun you have hanging over your realm, what you call the prime aspect, I like the name though, prime aspect, really catchy” the titan replied,

Moyo sat on the ground, the situation settling on him,

“So, I’m dead?” he asked,

“Not quite” the titan replied,

“Your mortal frame is gone, in essence, you’re a pile of ash right now in the real world” he said as Moyo glanced up in alarm,

The titan waved his hand, revealing a shimmering image that showed the world they fought on, Ashira screaming over his body that had disintegrated even as the aspect of creation burned the pathways the creatures of chaos had passed through before shutting off. It showed Araman, the destroyer glowing with an otherworldly power, red lines like tears streaking from his face as he grinned.

He stood with two more runes in hand as Moyo’s heart sunk,

“And he has finally gotten the last two runes he needs, barring the rune of decay with you anyways, all progresses as they should” the titan said,

Moyo turned to his predecessor,

“As they should?” he asked confused,

Araman obtaining four runes was the beginning of the end for everything,

“indeed” the titan replied,

“Now the end can begin” he said with a smile.
