CHAPTER 129

Atreus stared at Moyo passively as he typed the situation to him through his HUD, his facial expression moving from grimness to disbelief and then exasperation. In the end, he turned to the sect leaders of the clan,

“Does your clan leader sometimes have a death wish?, cause I assure you the actions he just took are the likes of one who does” he said,

Moyo rolled his eyes, aware of what was about to happen,

“Oh yes, bouts of ruminations, silent, brooding personality, it is troubling” Mrs. Martha said as he facepalmed himself,

“Even at nights, whispered songs of pain waft out of his chambers in a silent cry for one to rumble in the sheets with” Idris chimed in,

“Okay that’s taking it too far” Moyo protested weakly,

“so you’re saying he does reckless things because he’s what?, horny” Atreus asked, apparently believing every word,

“Oh God” Moyo lamented,

“Patriarch of an entire clan but still has no game” Boyle said as he shook his head,

Moyo just slumped on his chair and waited it out, Atreus nodding along till he eventually turned to Moyo,

“Well, that was, depressing. Anyways I have a war to go back to prepare for; you have an entire planet on the brink of being invaded by dungeons and unwanted shiny visitors, goodbye” he said cheerily as he opened a pathway and stepped into it, the pathway closing up behind him,

“You know, that’s the first time I’ve seen the overseer happy about something; your misery really does make him happy” Ayo said, hanging her legs on her red crystalline throne,

Moyo shook his head, mind already wandering till Mrs Martha clapped her hands, drawing his attention back to the room,

“I believe the patriarch has a lot on his mind and doesn’t have the time to make small talk with us?” she asked him, already understanding what was going on,

He nodded and sat up,

“To be clear, I can’t explain what happened with the general of the brigade, and he was a ruler by the way, so he could had evaporated you all along with the planet had he wished so” he started as they all frowned at the implication,

Good, fear was an excellent motivator to grow; they needed to understand that and the little bit of revenge for what they just did.

He continued,

“Secondly, the issue is way above your realm, like literally above the realm of experts and as such, I cannot reveal the intricacies of it to you all”

“Was it about my spear?” Annika asked,

Moyo nodded,

“In kind, but also a lot more to be honest; bigger games are afoot and apparently; I’ve been drawn into them as well” he replied,

“Bigger games” Mrs Martha said with a gleam in her eyes as Moyo grinned,

“Believe me, nothing would bring me much joy than to let you in Martha, but you’d be dealing with beings that could squash you like a bug without thought and there would be no repercussions to it, none at all” he said as she nodded,

“Then we only have to get stronger” she said,

He nodded again,

“About that” he started as they sat up,

“I believe I could possibly, possibly, drag you all to the peak of silver” he replied,

“Dungeon cores?” Samantha asked, keeping quiet till now,

Moyo shook his head,

“No, under no circumstances must any ascender of the clan employ the use of dungeon cores for anything more than the original use, to open a stronghold. Believe me; they would come to regret it should they begin to close in on the peak of expert rank; in fact, I now decree by my authority as the patriarch of the clan that dungeon cores are to only be used for starting a new settlement and not enhancing skills or any of the likes on penalties of expulsion” he said authoritatively,

A loud gong reverberated,

Domain notice: lord titan blade, patriarch of clan titan blade has decreed that all prospective and current ascenders in clan titan blade are prohibited from using dungeon cores to enhance their skills or ascension rank. Failure to adhere to these terms will result in expulsion from the clan and domain of the titan blade.

“Talk about being serious” Idris said whistling,

Moyo stood up and cracked his neck, sighing as he began walking down the steps,

“I intend to take the clan on an area-wide attack on the black zone” he said,

They all glanced at him at that,

“You do know the black zone is filled with silver, gold, diamond and even a master-ranked dungeon?” Mrs Martha said,

“I know, but I could care less, and besides, I will be employing the green spears for this” he replied,

Idris shrugged, Samantha nodded, Boyle nodded and Annika also

“Whatever the boss says” he said with a smile,

Mrs Martha nodded,

“You know better than us, lord patriarch” she said,,

“Gather the clan, send out a notice; one week from now the clan moves to clear its borders all experts are to gather per rank, a team of 100 irons with a bronze commander” he said and opened a pathway,

It revealed a literal warzone where bronze rankers clashed with monsters in a blood-frenzied battle that painted the ground red, his sect leaders staring with wide eyes,

“See you around guys” he said with a grin and stepped through, sealing the pathway behind him,

He chuckled to himself; his presence masked to both ascenders and monsters that rampaged around; he activated one step of Ogun to appear atop the citadel where Ashira sat. Glancing towards him, she turned back,

“I felt the presence of the brigade, but seeing as I didn’t feel you ramping up to the battle, I decided to wait it out” she said,

“I sort of had an issue with the being Alastor represents” he quietly said as Ashira turned sharply to him,

“How in the archailects name did you manage to do that?” she asked, raw disbelief in her voice,

“Ever heard of Divinum?” he asked,

She perked up at that,

“Saw a piece once; all of the forges of master vardant couldn’t bend to talk of melt the metal; it’s hardly given to anyone, and, even that piece belonged to my father. Now that I think of it, I wonder what he used his piece for” she murmured to herself,

She paused from her rumination and looked back at him, eyes wide,

“No way” she breathed,

He nodded grimly,

“Apparently, it’s a welcome to the club gift from Alastor’s sponsor” Moyo replied,

“did it come with terms you reneged on?, and when was this anyways?” she asked,

“When we were training them in the citadel, a messenger appeared within my core realm; no idea how they did that by the way. Apparently, it’s an incentive to come to their side, can’t say more than that, club business” he said,

Ashira shrugged,

“Get there one day” she said nonchalantly,

They both glanced into the distance,

“Wow, first one to break through to silver; I’m impressed” he murmured,

“And from my squad no less, told you beating them would pay out” she replied proudly,

“That or the legacy of the sage is one powerful aspect” Moyo said as she nodded,

Tomasa had broken through to silver and the staff wielder was venting his rage on the silver-ranked monsters with a vengeance,

“Oh no you don’t” Moyo replied, grabbing the blood-frenzied ascender with his aura who didn’t even care and kept smashing the monsters wherever his staff came across them,

Depositing him next to them, Tomasa snarled, and Moyo knocked him lightly, the ascender crashing to his knees, subsequently passing out immediately. They stared at him for a second before continuing their conversation, Moyo sighing.

“And no, I didn’t break some terms; I might have tinkered with the Divinum” he said embarrassingly,

Ashira narrowed her eyes at him suspiciously,

“what do you mean by tinkered with it?, you just heard when I said not even master Vardant could forge the metal with his forges, and that includes his core forge” she said,

“I wasn’t looking to forge the metal; remember that spear we found on Duhiri?, the one which no master nor ruler had been able to give an attribute?” he asked as she nodded,

“That was Divinum also, I figured I could just fuse my titan aspect within it and see the result, and it worked, changed the metal to something I named Aserite” he explained,

“Aserite” she asked, eyebrow raised,

“don’t judge me; I did it all for science” he replied with a grin,

Also being careful not to inform her of how his aspect could all of a sudden consume other aspects as well due to the help of his now evolved skill, deific greed of the titan. Especially how he had consumed a tiny bit of the aspect of a supreme being; perhaps he’d inform her later when it was safer. She ran a hand through her hair,

“I’m guessing that was illegal?” she asked,

“Apparently, but I was released with a slap on the wrist, and the oath not to share this metal with anyone nor make more of it; oh, and I get to perform one favour for the being whenever he calls it in” he explained,

“Well, that’s a let-down” she said,

“In what way?” he asked,

“You created a metal only to be told not to make more of it. Was it stronger than Divinum?” she asked,

“I can’t answer that question without giving away club secrets, but let’s just say it would have removed many issues down the line for whoever used it” he said grimly,

“Well, that’s not creepy at all” she replied as he laughed,

“Besides, by creating more, I’m pretty sure he meant getting my hands on Divinum and corrupting it, as they so delicately put it” he said,

Ashira glanced at him with a coy smile,

“What are you planning on doing?” she asked,

“Well firstly, I’ve corrupted the spear as they said, so I’m pretty sure Annika could use it. Secondly, I believe I’ve found a suitable use for the item from your mom” he said, eyes glinting,

Ashira paused as she realised what that meant,

“By all the supreme beings” she breathed,

He nodded,

“If you did that, and it worked, the implications, oh, I’m impressed” she said, her mind still trying to wrap around the plan the titan had,

“Why thank you lady Ashira. Was it devious enough for you?” he asked laughing,

“for me?, hell, if my mom heard that, she’d sell me to you right here and now just to have you on the family’s side” she replied, laughing as well,

Together they watched the ascenders battle harder now that they were one short, Yemi breaking through to silver in short order as his runes began to glow brighter, detonating and releasing concussive force on the bronze-ranked monsters, chaining attacks on each other. He too got drawn out of the battle, leaving the rest against the onslaught of dungeon monsters that threatened to end their existence. She glanced at him after a while,

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

“Stop fidgeting; it’s distracting” she said,

“What?” he asked,

She glanced at his feet which had been tapping on the ground unconsciously; he grimaced and paused, wincing,

“apologies” he said,

Ashira rolled her eyes at him,

“Honestly, even at master rank you still wished you were in the heat of battle rather than enjoying your wealth, don’t you?” she asked with a light smile,

He shrugged his shoulder,

“The clan needs me” he replied,

“True, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be true to yourself” she replied, putting one hand on his shoulder and then yelping as she drew her hand away just as quickly, cursing,

“what’s wrong?” he asked, alarmed.

“Stupid oath!” she cursed again as Moyo understood,

“Oh, perhaps it would be best if I go find something to do?” he asked,

“That would be best; I can handle these punks till they all get to silver; you go do something” she said distractedly, doing her best to avoid his gaze,

He nodded and with a thought, opened a pathway straight into his room at castle dominion where Augustus and a bunch of maids were laying his bed. The women screamed in shock at his appearance; Augustus executed a bow, used to the abrupt entrance of his master,

“And that, ladies, is why you should never slack in your duties; our employer and lord is one known to drop in at any time of the day” he said, Moyo waving at them embarrassingly as they flocked out of the room,

“Need anything lord?” Augustus asked,

Moyo turned to his butler,

“Do we have a chef?” he asked,

It hadn’t occurred to him, but he had assumed they would have. Augustus nodded; we have five of the best chefs on the planet who actually have rare culinary paths, each specific to a particular trade. A pastry chef on the path of the fluffy dough, a soup chef on the path of the tasteful soup and the rest” he explained,

Moyo scratched his head at that,

“And when did we employ these chefs again?” he asked,

Augustus smiled at Moyo,

“They had always been around my lord, from the founding of castle dominion my lord” he replied,

“Oh, all right, whatever they want to make, not hungry, but I might as well eat something” he said, Augustus bowing and closing the door,

With a sigh he sat on the ground; he was beginning to allow the activities going on around him to cloud his true goal, to get stronger. Closing his eyes, he began to enumerate all the activities he intended to deal with, starting with the issue of the Luminian theocracy. All that was holding him back on that front were the ascenders he was currently training; with that complete, his strike force would be ready. Those two dealt with; he moved on to the issue of strengthening his clan.

His initial plan was to employ the green spear sect from the beginning of the invasion of the black zone, but then he realized he could also use the invasion as a training setting for the team he was putting together. Those four issues dealt with; the only thing left was to walk on his plans with the Aserite, and for that, he needed no distractions whatsoever; therefore, he waited for Augustus to return with his meal, an idea popping into his head,

“Say, Augustus, if you were to have a weapon, custom made, what would it be?” he asked,

Augustus paused, eyes wide,

“Lord?” he asked, uncertainly,

Moyo rolled his eyes, a light smile on his face,

“I don’t have all day Augustus; what does your path entail anyways?” he asked,

“it’s known as the path of the silent butler” Augustus replied,

“Sounds deadly; any offensive abilities?” Moyo asked,

Augustus nodded, grabbed a table knife and threw it at the door; the aura-hardened door crumbled in absolute silence while shattering into a hundred pieces, Moyo whistling in appreciation. Augustus stretched his hand out as the knife flew back into his hand as the door mended itself back, Moyo’s eyebrows raising at that,

“That also part of your path?” he asked,

Augustus nodded, explaining also,

“Known as rewind, it allows me to clean up messes left behind around the range of ten seconds they were made. I believe the time limit would extend the stronger I become” Augustus said proudly,

“Impressive, so, a weapon?” Moyo asked again,

“I was more of a boxer in my old life lord” he replied,

“So, a blunt exploding force weapon, something like a boxing glove?” Moyo asked,

“If that’s possible” Augustus said bowing,

Moyo nodded,

“Give me some time” Moyo replied as Augustus bowed, shutting the door behind him,

Moyo stared at the arrayed dishes displayed before him and began to dig in slowly. From toasted bread to warm tomato soups to other dishes he had no name for but tasted divine, he kept devouring them as his mind toyed with the idea of what he wanted to do. The clinking of the cutlery in his hand and the ceramic bowl drew his attention back to the room.

Realizing he was done with the dish, Moyo sent a message through his HUD to Mrs. Martha and Augustus that he would not be bothered for 24 hours and closed his HUD. That done, he crossed his legs lotus style and delved back into his core, arriving right at the foot of his mountain where both the spear and the piece of Aserite lay peacefully. With a thought, he summoned the item given to him by Ashira, stared at it and sent it back to wherever it had previously been hanging around in his realm.

He could deal with that later; he had a spear to work on. Picking up the now dark purple metal, he gripped it hard and felt the weapon humming with energy waiting to be unleashed, but Moyo intended to transform it into something else. He summoned a primordial essence he had gotten from the tournament, perfect for what he intended. The blue essence crystal that sparked with electricity appeared in his hands,

Essence of the primordial thunderbird:

This essence was harvested from the body of a level 500 arcane primordial thunderbird; it channels and generates massive amounts of lightning strong enough to harm a diamond ranker seriously and can passively recharge its stores with aether.

Nodding to himself, he appeared at his forge and began the process of fusing the essence to the spear, the weapon glowing as it steadily began changing from dark purple to dark blue as the essence of the thunderbird permeated and fused with it. Lightning ran down the weapon’s length as it rumbled and quaked, sending tendrils of lightning around the forge as Moyo hammered on.

Soon enough, the weapon was almost complete; the lightning essence almost completely merged with the weapon. Moyo began to employ his latest addition of power, runic inscriptions on the weapon and it appeared in his native tongue, something that brought a smile to his face. He focused his ability with runes as he spoke them into existence, his Ashe literally carving them into the body of the weapon,

Ara, lightning, the primordial cries of the skies will call this weapon home,

Monomono, thunder, the one who illuminates the skies will call this weapon home,

Agbara, strength, the weapon will carry but a piece of the strength of the titan and call it home,

Itosona, direction, the weapon would always pierce its target, it would call the spear home,

These four runes did the titan carve on the weapon Annika had given the name Asagai, the native name for spear from her culture. With that done, the weapon was completed, and Moyo stepped back, raising the weapon and looking at his description as he marveled,

Asagai (A): this is a legendary arcane weapon forged by the master titan blade for Annika storm empress, sect leader of the storm bringers. An indestructible weapon forged to battle rulers and creatures of the abyss, it has the power to eliminate entire continents off the map of a planet and can totally annihilate any ascender up to ruler rank depending on the amount of power contained in the weapon at a time.

“So that’s how you make an arcane weapon, Divinum” Moyo murmured,

It explained the weapon’s rarity and the class; arcane weapons were indestructible given their description and Moyo just found a way to turn dominion into one. Dropping Asagai, he summoned dominion and placed it on the table,

“Well, here goes nothing” he said silently and appeared back where the piece of Aserite sat near his mountain,

Picking it up, he had a thought, paused as he considered the implications and winced,

“To do or not to do” he murmured,

Coming to a decision, he picked the metal and focused on it, seemingly trying to somehow separate it into two. He had picked something from the story Ashira told him, of master Vardant not being able to forge the metal and has summarily concluded that unless you were personally bestowed the metal or you found a way to consume the aspect of Alastor within the metal like he had done, then there was no way to even work with the metal.

It also brought to mind the question of what happened to whoever forged the spear, had they been slain in battle or something?. Moyo cleared those thoughts from his mind as he focused on his task, which was a thought for a later date, now he had a goal to accomplish. The metal grew hot for a few seconds, and then the metal divided into two smaller pieces of Aserite that retained all of the strength of the original singular metal. Moyo nodded satisfactorily, kept one piece and with the other in hand, walked straight into his mountain core through his vault.

Appearing in the middle of his mountain where his skills had taken the shape of statues and his titan aspect tinted Ashe poured down the walls, he dropped the metal. With a giddy smile, he took a step back and appeared in his vault, the other piece in hand and dominion on the forge table. Taking a deep breath, he placed the Aserite on dominion as his HUD brought out a notification,

Notice: attempt to fuse Aserite with dominion for upgrade, proceed, Y/N?

Moyo picked yes and dominion immediately dissolved along with the piece of Aserite, his theory being correct. It wasn’t that master Vardant couldn’t forge the metal, odds were, he probably knew how to later with the help of Kairos but was sworn to secrecy. With the blade back in liquified form, Moyo summoned a large amount of his titan aspect and added it to the mixture, watching the superheated mixture bubble.

Picking up his mantle hammer as the liquid began to solidify, he began to hammer in his intent into it, the metal now glowing a dark purple colour, he began infusing the runes he intended into his blade,

Igboya, courage, dominion would instil courage in him and his allies wherever it was wielded,

Iberu, fear, it would drive his enemies to bouts of terror at the sight of the blade,

Didasile, sharpness, dominion would cut through whatever obstacle in its path,

Agbara, strength, the blade would carry all the strength of the titan within it,

Fa, to absorb, the blade of the titan would continue to absorb to essences of his foes, ever getting stronger,

These runes were inscribed onto the blade with every swing of his hammer, the blade now glowing and thrumming with such power that the forge table quaked from every hit Moyo added to it. Grabbing an essence he had reserved for himself from the stockpile given to him during the tournament, he glanced at it with a smile,

Primordial essence of the slain Dragonoid king:

Felled by the blade of Sigmar true blade, this sentient master ranked Dragonoid monster had fought the master of the true blade clan for two days straight before ending its existence abruptly, it contains the strength of the legendary Dragonoid race, a sub race of the majestic dragons themselves.

He had attempted to question the master when he had seen it in his list of essences but was summarily hushed immediately, Sigmar smiling at him with the words “for the tournament” being said. Moyo had understood immediately, it was the master’s way of apologizing for his inability to interfere with the games played by house Dracon and Moyo accepted wholeheartedly.

With the final addition to his blade, he gave one final hit with his hammer and dropped it, taking a step back as dominion floated into the air, pure dark purple blade glowing and thrumming with such power, Moyo could feel his bones within him vibrate a little with it. His HUD popped up with a notification,

Notice: congratulations, you have forged your first mythical grade weapon!, you get:

* 1 ingot of Divinum (1 time only)

* 10,000,000 diamond coins

* 100,000,000 gold coins

* 1,000,000,000 silver coins

* 1 mythical dungeon core

* 5 legendary dungeon cores

* 10 rare dungeon cores

Note: forging a mythical grade weapon is an unlikely probability and the archailects decision to bestow one upon you is due to a lot of factors including knowledge of the blade and items used, familiarity with the blade, etc. congratulations, you are now among the 1% in the entirety of the archailect that has forged and now wields one.

Notice: rename blade or keep the name?

Moyo chose to keep the name of the blade, it was a part of him now,

Notice: arcane mythical blade dominion has been forged!

Moyo picked up his new blade and grinned at the pure power that ran through it, the pure destructive power he now had in his hand. Had he wielded this at the tournament, not even Kenuran juiced up on all the aspect of Azar could had stopped him, hell, this blade could cross blades with the best weapons in the archailect!. He looked over the weapons info

Name: Dominion

Type: Katana (sword)

Tier: Arcane Mythical rank

Evolution: Mythical

Attributes:

* Indestructible: Nothing short of the divine weapon of a supreme being can destroy dominion

* Void: Dominion is a never-ending chasm of ruthless essence, aether, aura and aspect absorption of whatever foe it manages to cut

* Domain: Dominion is now an extension of the will of the titan and as such, automatically carries the core-realm of the titan within it. Any enemy that it cuts automatically is subject to the effects of the titans’ realm of Olorun even without the realm physically being present.

* Black Hole: Dominion taps into an upgraded form of the affinity of gravity the titan wields. Black hole ensures whatever part of the blade comes in contact with the body of a foe begins a slow but steady inward shattering and compression that will slowly but ultimately swallow the entirety of the foe.

Moyo whistled at the information displayed,

“This isn’t a weapon any longer, it’s……well, whatever it is” he said as he chuckled to himself,

With his weapon now handled, Moyo finally faced his mountain and took a deep breath then with his decision made, he summoned the item gotten from Ashira again, this time taking his time to read its description slowly,

Primordial rubric bloodline cube

Tier: mythical

This rubric is a primordial item created by Tiamat kraken Kairos; it has the one-time ability to bestow the possibility of a bloodline on an ascender. It must however be fused with a molecular part of the ascender, e.g: blood or more to produce a stronger result, the more molecular parts added, the stronger the result.

Moyo willingly parted the skin of his palm and let a bit of his blood spill on the rubric as it glowed, the golden cube glowing brighter as he touched the Aserite with it and watch it summarily get swallowed as well. Soon enough the rubric was scalding hot, but Moyo impervious to its effects merely watched as continued to glow brighter and brighter till it changed shape into a thin needle and pierced right into his chest with no resistance.

He stumbled backwards, shock in his eyes as he sputtered,

“what the-“he managed to say as his body locked in place, his spine stiff and pure arcane and primordial energy ran through him in lightning fast movements. His dark purple eyes glowed brighter, glowing with otherworldly light, and again, for the third time in his life, he could feel his body becoming cocooned in hard Aserite. Sighing mentally at what he was sure was another metamorphosis.

Soon enough the entirety of his body had been sealed within the Aserite cocoon, both within his core realm and in the physical realm and only dominion; the now fully sentient arcane weapon of the titan blade stood watch over his body in his room.

******************************************

The moment dusk came, as the two suns that now hung above Gaia set, the Aserite cracked, and baleful dark purple eyes glowed from within the metal cocoon. A hand came out, a dark hand with dark purple lines of power running through its lengths. The hand became fisted and with a push, the rest of the body came through, glowing like shining diamond. The titan stepped out of the cocoon with a gasp, his body glowing with energy even as he stood up straight, stretching his frame.

Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath and breathed out pure power, aura that swirled round him in tightly controlled manner, his HUD glowing as he gestured to his room sized wardrobe that opened up and a robe floating out. Wearing it silently as the previous set had been burnt off along with his pants, he took one step out to his balcony and opened his HUD,

Notice: you have forcibly evolved your existence into one of a bloodline holder, your lineage would continue to bear this same power.

Bloodline name: titanic body

Attributes:

* Ability to withstand attacks two ranks above current rank perfectly

* Absorbs force of attacks given to power ascender

* Absolute defence against any element and toxin

Note: as the progenitor of the titan body, you get:

* Absolute defence against aspect laced attack weaker or on par with current strength of the titan aspect

* Absolute defence against attacks of any rank within the ranking systems of the archailect

Moyo smiled to himself,

“Not bad, not bad at all” he murmured to himself,

Eyes glowing, he glanced at the metal Aserite cocoon sitting in his room and waved his hand, transporting it into his core realm. Dominion floated towards him,

“hello” he said as the blade hummed,

He smiled,

“Oh we’ll have lots of fun together, I promise” he said grinning,

The blade glowed brighter as he laughed,

“Enemies?, oh yes, I suppose we’ll have lots of those now with what I’ve done, it’s time we kicked things into overdrive” he said as he stretched his hand and dominion flew into his grip,

The skies above bastion darkened into a purple colour as the winds blew and everyone felt the aura of the titan blade permeate the air. Moyo took one step of Ogun and phased away, leaving nothing but wisps of pure energy behind that coalesced around reality….
