CHAPTER 240

Notice!: you have forged a weapon set!

Name: The Aegis of the Titan Blade

Restriction: for only the champion of the titan blade.

Description:

The Aegis of the Titan Blade is a mythical arcane set of weapons, forged by the Titan Blade, it is imbued with his aspects of strength, defense, and protection. It consists of the fearsome spear Obalọkẹ̀, the formidable Agbala Agbaye. Each piece possesses mystical enchantments, channeling the power of the Titan Blade to empower his champion.

* Spear Obalọkẹ̀(A):

Description:

Obalọkẹ̀, the spear of kings, was crafted by the Titan Blade, a core-forger of unparalleled skill and power. Its gleaming blade, infused with the essence of the Titan Blade, possesses a profound aura of strength and precision. Adorned with intricate runes that resonate with the Titan Blade's Ashe and aether, the spear emanates an aura of authority and dominance.

Abilities:

1. a) Titan's Vigor: The wielder of Obalọkẹ̀ taps into the aspect of the Titan Blade, gaining immense physical strength and endurance. This ability enhances the champion’s combat capabilities, increasing their attack power and allowing them to unleash devastating blows upon their foes. The spear's strikes carry the weight of the Titan Blade's might, shattering defenses and leaving a trail of victory in their wake.

2. b) Titan’s Blessing: The Titan Blade's aspect of creation and forging grants Obalọkẹ̀ the ability to repair and restore itself. In the heat of battle, the spear mends its own minor damages, ensuring that it remains in optimal condition throughout extended engagements. This ability provides the champion with a weapon that is always ready to deliver its full potential.

3. C) Titan’s Rage: the spear has been imbued with the ability to serve as an extension of himself when facing abyssal creatures, channeling his anthemic power to cut down the denizens of the abyss.

* Agbala Agbaye(A):

Description:

The Agbala Agbaye, intricately crafted by the Titan Blade, represents the aspect of defense and protection. Fashioned from the Titan Blade's own Aserite, the shield radiates an aura of solidity and stability. Etched with ancient symbols signifying the unity of strength and defense, it resonates with the presence of the Titan Blade.

Abilities:

1. a) Titanic Guardian: The Agbala Agbaye, infused with the aspect of the Titan Blade, becomes an impenetrable bastion. It forms an unbreakable barrier that absorbs and disperses incoming attacks, protecting the champion and their allies. The shield's defensive capabilities reach extraordinary heights, enabling the champion to withstand even the most devastating assaults.

2. b) Forged Resilience: Drawing upon the Titan Blade's aspect of endurance, the Agbala Agbaye enhances the champion's fortitude. When activated, this ability temporarily boosts the champion's physical and magical defenses, providing additional resistance against various types of attacks. It grants the champion the resilience to endure in the face of overwhelming odds.

With the Aegis of the Titan Blade in their possession, the champion of the titan becomes an unstoppable force, wielding the power of the Titan Blade itself. Obalọkẹ̀, infused with the aspect of strength, delivers crushing blows, while the Agbala Agbaye, imbued with the aspect of defense, forms an impenetrable barrier. Together, they create an unyielding defense and devastating offense, granting the champion unparalleled prowess on the battlefield.

Moyo stared at the weapon set with a gleam in his eyes, appreciating it’s beauty, Obalọkẹ and the Agbala Agbaye gleaming in the prime aspect sunlight of his core realm. He had no idea when it had happened, but it must had been during the forging stage, the formerly named shield of Gaia, a legendary ranked weapon had evolved into an arcane weapon, the Agbala Agbaye. Watching the two of them float meters above him, he sent a pulse of power through his realm.

Turning to the shores, he spoke, drawing on the link he had with Idris,

“COME” he commanded,

His aspect within the Geb hand responded immediately, a pathway opening up as Idris appeared, stumbling a bit at the sudden translocation. Glancing around in awe, he spotted the titan in the distance, waving at him and with a burst of master ranked speed, appeared a few seconds later in front of his lord. Nodding in greeting, he spoke,

“I figured it was something important for you to drag me into your realm, when did you learn that though?, is it something I can do too?” he asked,

Moyo shrugged,

“Just tested it on the fly, looks like you’ll need your aspect within the recipient to do so whenever they’re not in your line of sight” Moyo explained,

“So, you just drew me through space and time as an experiment?” Idris asked sceptically again,

Moyo simply smiled at him, pointing to the weapons that were floating above him, Idris’s gaze widening,

‘Is that?’ he asked, unable to complete the sentence,

“Indeed, the slag of a spear now reforged into a mythical arcane ranked weapon along with a shield” Moyo replied,

“Obalọkẹ” Idris muttered,

The spear hummed to life, spinning before floating closer with the shield, Moyo stepping backwards curiously, watching the subtle interaction between the aegis of the titan blade and Idris. The Geb hand suddenly had his vambraces on him, hands stretched out hypnotically as the spear and shield flew into his grip. He slammed into the ground below with his knee, grunting under the power as Moyo stepped forwards in alarm, Shango's resonance glancing around Idris to find just what was the problem.

He paused in his step as he saw what was the cause, filaments of the prime aspect that had been included into the forging of the aegis were interacting with the core of the Geb hand,

“No, the titan fist” he thought to himself,

It was, and reconciling the fact that the path of Idris had also evolved when he had made him a master as well, still he trusted his intuition, the aspect wasn’t causing him harm,

No, it was testing him,

In its own bizarre way, it was assessing if the titan fist was worthy enough to wield the aegis itself. Moyo folded his arms, crouching a little and staring into the eyes of his champion who groaned under the pressure,

“I had no idea it would decide to test you itself” he said softly,

“But all for the better, this is the test Idris, you’re my fist, an extension of the titan’s wrath against those who would dare come for our people, show me you have the strength to pierce, the cut down my enemies, the enemies of the archailect” he said,

Titan and champion locked eyes as Idris grunted again, powerful muscles glowing with power as he grunted, pushing himself with great difficulty,

“Show me that you have the strength to stand next to me when we get to that fucking hell hole” Moyo continued,

Shango’s resonance showed him something peculiar, the body of the titan fist was absorbing the filaments of the prime aspect, he smiled,

“Do it for your daughter, born or unborn, do it for that girl, what’s her name?” Moyo asked softly,

“Ayesha” Idris groaned as he pushed more,

“good” Moyo thought with a smile,

“For Ayesha” Moyo said softly,

Idris clenched his hand around Agbala Agbaye, the shield glowing with purple and golden power, and with a roar, with one hand gripping the spear tightly, he turned from the titan and released his rage, the blast of power tearing across the landscape, into his sea of Ashe and aspect that absorbed it. Panting softly, shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Moyo folded his hands,

“So, how is it?” he asked,

“it’s one powerful weapon, and proud too” Idris replied softly,

Moyo snorted,

“it’s one of my greatest weapons till date” he said,

“you’ll really make Boyle jealous you know” Idris said as Moyo chuckled,

“The Forgelord and his clan are in charge of arming the entire house, I can bet dominion that he’s up to his neck in orders and doesn’t have time to even be jealous” the titan blade replied,

Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator.

Idris nodded, standing straight and twirling the spear, Obalọkẹ humming with every rotation, trailing literal Ashe that sizzled in the air,

‘It makes the broad blade look like a weapon of office, this, this could really bring out my strength” Idris muttered,

“Good, because I need you to do something for me” Moyo replied,

Idris turned skeptically to his lord, aware of the titan’s penchant for pulling deadly surprises on them. Moyo chuckled, pulling on his aspect and Ashe again,

“COME” he commanded,

Another pathway opened up, spilling Josh into the realm as the hammer of the mithril warden went swinging once again, Moyo raising one finger, deflecting the hit, bouncing the Valoris of the Shieldborne backwards. Josh steadied himself wincing,

“Way to crush a man’s ego, stopping a Warhammer with one finger” he said,

Idris rolled his eyes as Moyo chuckled,

“Get stronger and crush me” he replied,

Josh snorted,

“Yeah right, like that’s happening anytime soon” he muttered,

“we’re here infact, to make that a possibility” Moyo replied,

His champion and chief guardian turned to him,

“What do you mean?” Idris asked,

“Since the both of you have decided to follow me into what promises to be quite the bloody battle, it is my intention to ensure that your attributes get to the peak of master rank before I can even consider letting you accompany me in battle” he said,

“But that’s impossible, without the ability to rank up, we’re stuck” Josh said,

Moyo nodded,

“Except, for some reason, no one’s considered one little detail we were all told at the inception of the archailect” Moyo said, raising one finger,

Snapping it, an aether shard appeared in his hand, glowing gold with barely restrained power, a mythical aether shard, its power burning bright as he flicked his hand and it disappeared. Josh froze,

“Now wait a damn minute” he said, bringing up his Hud, Idris doing the same as well,

And there it was, the exchange rate for shards to attributes,

“This is crazy!” Josh said,

“We only assumed that it could be used by fledgelings in refining the required aether type for their paths, we never considered just what higher ranked aether shards could do to them” Idris said softly,

Moyo wondered if it was the right time to point out to them that legendary aether shards had been used in forging his body and then shook his head, it wasn’t of much help to anyone at this stage eitherways.

Exchange Rate: Aether Shards

In the archailect, ascenders can use aether shards of varying ranks to enhance their attributes. Each rank of aether shard provides a different amount of attribute points.

* Common Aether Shard: 1 attribute point.

* Uncommon Aether Shard: 5 attribute points.

* Rare Aether Shard: 25 attribute points.

* Legendary Aether Shard: 100 attribute points.

* Mythic Aether Shard: 500 attribute points.

Josh blinked at that, turning to open his spatial storage vault when Moyo spoke again,

“Ah ah ah” he said, causing the mithril warden to pause,

“Let me see your attributes first, both of you” he said,

Moyo marveled at how far Josh had come, some of his attributes seemingly on par with Idris’s, it spoke of the dedication of the leader of his Shieldborne. Nevertheless though, he glanced at the two ascenders in front of him,

“hmm” he said,

“Hmm?” Idris asked,

Josh shot him a skeptical look,

“That means something we won’t like, right?” Josh said,

Moyo smiled,

“Depends on your view, it’s going to be fun for me though” Moyo replied,

Idris’s expression changed,

“it’s some sort of training, isn’t it?” he said,

Josh blanched for a few seconds before resolving his look,

“What better way to grow stronger than battling one of the strongest beings I know of?” he responded,

Idris snorted, glancing at him,

“you’ve been knocked around like a ragdoll by him before, haven’t you?” the champion asked,

“I saw his strength when the Shieldborne went up against him” Josh replied,

Idris took a deep breathe, chuckling softly,

“Poor kid” he said,

“c’mon, I’m not that bad” Moyo replied,

Josh brought out his hammer, the silver mithril forged weapon upgraded by Boyle glowing with aura and barely restrained power, Moyo snapped his hands, the hammer appearing in his hands. It had caught Josh offguard, Moyo found it ridiculously simple to exert his Ashe upon others within his core realm, irrespective of the strength of their own authority. Plus, it didn’t help matters that Josh’s authority was similar to his, it felt like an insurmountable wall, unshakeable, and while that was all good and shiny,

The titan was an insurmountable mountain,

The wall obeyed; hence the hammer was in his hand, glancing at the weapon appreciatively, it vanished from his hand, sending it into his forge. Turning to Josh he spoke,

“No weapons, and that applies to you to Idris, not just yet, I want to get a feel of your pure strengths” he said,

The both of them nodded,

“That begs the question, just how high are you considering raising our attributes?” Josh asked,

“To the limit of what the archailect would allow for masters, I’m guessing there’s a cap, and I also want you guys acclimated to it as well before we get there” Moyo replied,

“There being the next planet, right?” Idris asked as Moyo nodded,

“Good, then that means mythic aether shards?, I have some legendary shards if that’s what we can manage” Josh said,

Moyo waved his hand as a heap of shards began appearing close to them, rising and rising as it casted a shadow above them, Josh stared with wide eyes,

“Just how much shards to you have?” he cried,

“a near infinite amount of common, uncommon and rare, legendary and mythic are somewhat bountiful” Moyo replied,

Separating the common and uncommon shards, he whisked them away, picking a bunch of rare and tossing it to them,

“Try upgrading your strengths, I want to test a theory” Moyo said,

Both ascenders crushed the shards, absorbing them and attempting to infuse it into their strengths when they buckled, groaning as Idris spoke,

“Rejected our attempts, seems the cap for masters is three thousand” he said,

Moyo placed his hands on his hips,

“Well, that’s just dandy” he muttered,

“We just crushed enough shards to set up a gold for an extended period of time” Josh groaned as he stood straight,

“Your boss is rich, get used to it” Idris replied as Josh stared forlornly at the dust in his hands,

“Alright, we’re moving to endurance, take five and add” Moyo said,

Both responded, crushing another set as their bodies glowed, Moyo staring intently at them,

“How do you feel?” he asked,

“weird” Idris said,

“Like something foreign is in our systems and we have to….” Josh added, pausing as if looking for the right word,

“Filter?” Idris asked,

“Yes, filter it” Josh responded,

“Guess that’s the reason why most masters don’t use it” Moyo said almost to himself,

“Feels like borrowed power” Idris said, rotating his shoulders,

Moyo floated backwards,

“Now prepare yourselves” he ordered,

Both masters blazed with power as Moyo smiled,

And then he unleashed his authority and aura across this realm, the both of them buckling to their knees, eyes wide,

“You didn’t think it was going to be that easy, did you?” he chuckled, eyes glowing,

Idris gave a strained chuckle, and with muscles clearly being strained, blasted towards the titan, Josh behind him. Sage’s sight mapped out their movements seamlessly as he wove between them, arms moving in a blur, stopping their attacks before they could even launch it. Both ascenders locked their mantles in place coming for him again as they sought to impose their realms on him.

He let them do it, two realms that spoke of willpower and authority unlike anything seen at master rank descending on him, seeking to bring him to his knees, Josh’s manifesting as a realm of pure force, the very walls of the realm seeking ton constrict him within an imaginary box that shrunk continually while Idris’s manifested as a boulder weighing down on him.

To any ordinary master, this was enough to seriously hamper their movements and in worst case scenario, put them out of the fight for vital few minutes to end the fight. To the titan blade though, it was a tickle, more like children seeking to bring a bodybuilder to his knees, and with a word, shattered their illusion of an advantage,

“BREAK” he commanded,

Their realms shattered like fragile glass, their mantles cracked and the titan with a casual punch, blasted the two of them into his ocean of Ashe. Floating as he awaited them, watching as they resurfaced, panting softly,

“Well, we both now know that you both will need to do a lot better than that” he said with a smirk,

“More shards?” he asked,

“The feeling’s reduced, not entirely gone” Idris replied slowly,

“Typical of the archailect, making you work for the power” Moyo said,

Meaning that whatever ascenders decided to simply push their attributes to the peak of their ranks would suddenly meet themselves lagging, their bodies responding too quickly and their coordination in shambles, the archailect gave nothing for free anyways. Clapping his hands to get their attentions,

“Now that we know, crush shards to the peak of endurance, we have a lot to do” Moyo replied with a grin.

*****************************

Aboard a large vessel Astroforge, name of ship that served as the mobile headquarters of the titan’s legion artillery division, commander Ahib sat within his large workstation, tinkling with a promethean battle suit. Recently, he had been seeking for ways to improve their repulsive shielding, even going as far as to requisition a bit of the titan’s aspect from the Defiance.

It had been easy, convincing mistress Urne of the importance to the fleet and its forces, the ascender had been more than willing, anything to prove her worth and loyalty in the eyes of the titan blade.

Loyalty,

A word Ahib was currently at conflict with, his mechanical gaze glanced at the communication construct disguised as one of his kore eccentric mechanical tools, waiting for a beep, anything from the other end. With a sigh, he checked the shroud over his core and continued tinkling with the suit,

Something below him as a ruler,

The android who for no better words would be known as a mechanical genius back in the planet of the titan blade had signed up for this mission, mostly out of curiosity though, wondering just what was special about the titan blade for Eses to be so intrigued with him. And he was impressed, the child was indeed something, the way things seemed to fall in place for him, Ahib knew better than to assume it was luck,

The supreme beings were behind him,

It was plain and simple, and Ahib pitited him for that, nothing good ever came from gaining the attention of those beings that lorded over them, and whatever hel they had given the child, he could only hope that the repercussions wouldn’t be too deadly. Snarling as he burnt a vital part of the suit, he used his aura, crumpling it into a ball, glad he hadn’t wasted too much of his time on the new prototype.

Standing up and sighing, he was almost tempted to establish a link with the mobile fortress of the Runeforged, his order, wondering just what might had happened to them, but with restraint, he sat back down. He would continue his study of the child, see if he was truly the one Eses had promised would come, besides, their forces were going into the eye of the battle, and he had a new suit to bequeath to the titan blade’s legion.
