Chapter 3, Cosmic Rules.
----------------------------------------
"The end of the universe?..." Everett questioned, his mind ablaze.
"This one yes!" One of the creatures answered. Everett's face shone with horror and worry, fear nearly consuming him entirely.
"But that's why we are here."
"This universe is primitive!"
"The rules in place shackle it down to the realm or mortality."
"We are beings that have slipped through the grasp of the universe over it's lengthy lifespan."
"Whether it be the fact we were born with abilities that allowed us to subtly defy it's rules..."
"Or by the fact we infiltrated this domain, and escaped the universes longing eye!"
"The common factor between all of us-"
"Is that we are Rule Weavers!"
"Rule Weavers that were caught by the will of the universe..."
"Rule Weavers that were banished to live in another plane of existence!"
"We are the same as the creature you see before you!"
"But the difference between us,"
"...and that?"
"That monstrosity is a Rule Breaker!" Faceless yelled happily, making Everett shove his face into his window, glancing at the creature that have travelled far down his street.
"It shattered a key rule within this universe!"
"And with the shattering of a rule, comes loopholes."
"A gateway for The Others to enter this place."
"God's will come!"
"Devils will come."
"Diseases will come..."
"Parasites will come."
"Concepts will come!"
"Everyone will infiltrate this place with no fear of having to abide by a set a complete and nearly unbreakable rules!"
"Everyone will wish to rule this rule-less place."
"And we must stop that."
"So we are elevating you to the position of a Ruler in our place."
"You will become undisputed in these lands!"
"And the Rule Weavers will be your secret legion in the dark!" Faceless finished.
Everett turned back to the group behind him, his mind utterly confused.
"You said you guys will give me power, right?" He asked, a bright smile appearing on all those that had them to display.
"As one of the most powerful present, it is my job to introduce you to what you would call, the supernatural!" As Faceless spoke, the rest of the Weavers started to fade out of Everett's sight.
He couldn't help but sigh when he saw this.
He would be taught by the most annoying of his demons?

"How fun..."
Everett turned back to the window, his ears picking up the screams of women far in the distance as a flurry of thoughts ran around inside his head.
"So, am I supposed to become Superman or something?"
"Superman is unrealistic without divine intervention..." Faceless responded, approaching Everett and placing a hand on his shoulder.
"First, I would like for you to get accustomed to feeling the difference between your soul and your body." With those words, Everett felt a strange feeling, his head spinning for a moment before he felt an extreme force.
One moment, he was looking out the window, and in another he was on the other side of it, floating in the air.
"Astral projection!" Faceless gleamed from behind the window, Everett staring at his body in pure confusion.
He stood leant against the window, his eyes rolled back into his head as drool dropped onto the window sill.
"W-What?..."
"Astral projection! I already said this, keep up..." Faceless responded, phasing through the wall and floating in the air next to him.
"I know you are familiar with this so try not to dwell on it too much!"
"You are out of body, your soul floating in the air right now, get used to it." It said happily, Everett gulping in understanding.
"What's more important is understanding what you are feeling as of now!" The horrifying entity started to float away, Everett's gaze following it as it moved to follow the monstrous beast from earlier.
His body slowly started to move, floating behind Faceless. It was something he could have never expected.
He was flying, was he not?
His eyes darted around everywhere as his arms spread wide. He could surprisingly feel the wind around him, the rays of the sun, and he could even hear still.
He somehow had all of his senses still intact despite not having any sensory organs.
"How does that work?" He thought to himself, trying to understand what was really happening.
His mind ran wild, drowning out the screams of the people below him as he maneuvered his body freely. He moved as if he did not require a foot hold, and gravity did not exist to him.
He could step on the air, or jump from any point as if there was ground beneath him. He was no longer restricted to moving forward and backwards. He could walk sideways, upside down, or in literally any direction he desired.
Surely he was defying rules right now right?
"If you're confused, it's because there's no rule restricting the actual capabilities and power of your soul!" Faceless spoke out of the blue.
"Your soul is just simply bound to your body, but I have ejected it from your physical body, and allowed it to occupy your spiritual one."
"Now, your soul which exists as a spiritual energy can do things that aren't normal to those with physical vessels!"
"Effectively, the body you're in right now is similar to the bodies that banished Rule Weavers occupy! Which is exactly why I am capable of explaining how you can function with it..." Faceless finished, picking up it's pace.
"Though I'd recommend you don't take any extreme damage. Well, really the only thing that can damage you as of now would be other energized attacks."
"Oh, do stay away from nuclear energy! That could be bad for your soul..." Heeding it's words, Everett continued to spin around and strangely kick off random places to propel him forward.
It was a unique feeling to be able to just will himself forward in the air.
Everyone has wished to fly before haven't they? To be able to do actually fulfill that dream was incredible.
"We've arrived." Faceless muttered, snapping Everett out of his trance.
"It's worse than we thought!" It laughed, it's featureless head turning as it stared at the creature below them.
"Praegressus is what we have decided to call it..."
Below the two crawled a large and girthy creature. It's skin was wet and had mucus all over it. There was 6 sets large fin-spikes running from the tip of its head to the back of its tail. Surprisingly, in the few minutes that it had been since they last saw the creature, it had already changed.
The limp fin legs it had that dangled in the air before, had grown into skinny thin legs that just barely pushed it forward alongside the thick trunks that it used as fore limbs.
"You might not see this as evolution, and just growth. But, if you look closer, you'll begin to understand." Faceless said, causing Everett to turn his head.
He stared at the slow moving creature, watching as it trotted down the street, crushing people and cars alike.
He stared intently, trying to understand what Faceless meant.
His eyes squinted, and strangely, he started to see something.
Looking at the beast, he could see a blue ethereal mist emanating from it's body. Though besides for that, his senses tingled.
His eye twitched, and he sniffed at the air.
"It's already an adult." Hearing his words Faceless whipped it's head around, strangely gazing at Everett with it's eyeless face.
"Oh wow! That was really fast!" It said, appearing in front of him nearly instantly, and grabbing his shoulders.
"You really did it that quick?" It's head tilted, its grip tightening on Everett's shoulders.
"To be able to use spiritual sense with just a few words of pointing you in the right direction..." Faceless muttered, letting go off the completely frozen boy.
"Congratulations Mister E... You have successfully unlocked your sixth sense, soul intuition better known as spiritual sense!"
"Capture this feeling! Remember it! Never forget it! It will be very useful to you." It said, turning back to Praegressus.
"But yes, it's an adult! Yet you see it continuing to grow in front of your eyes do you not? It is constantly adapting and evolving to it's surroundings!" Faceless said, moving forward and hovering directly above it.
"I'm sure that if you tried to attack it then it would quickly adapt and grow a sensory organ that would let it develop spiritual sense in a different way..."
"This world is vast Mister E! There are many things that could happen, and many things you couldn't predict!"
