Chapter 34: Lina's Room
I entered Lina's room. The whole place was frozen.
I don't know if she's trying to cast a high-level spell or something, but there was a spell circle under her, so I assumed it was a ritual.
I don't know if I was hallucinating, but I could even see spirits floating around the room.
This room was one of the empty ones in the fort.
The goblins used it as their storage room for weapons and armor. I wouldn't put Lina in the goblin's quarters.
Hmm. Why didn't I just put Lina there? Anyway, at least she's not complaining.
Still, I asked her just to be sure everything was okay.
Idmon: "Hey, is everything alright? Lina?"
Lina: "Wah! L-Lord Idmon! I didn't notice you were there."
Idmon: "It's okay; I'm just wondering how you were doing."
Lina: "I'm fine, boss. I'm just trying to improve my spells."
She hurriedly stopped her spellcasting and hid her hands from me. There were countless storage crystals on the ground.
It seems like she was using these to fuel some spells. It made me curious, so I asked her directly.

Idmon: "What were you using these crystals for?"
Lina: "Oh, I was not allowed to use them."
Idmon: "It's not that, but there seems to be a lot, even for a high-tier spell. I just wanted to know if you discovered something amazing."
Lina: "Ah, that's it, boss! But I need to perfect it first before I declare it a potent spell. It might fail, you know."
Idmon: "Oh, okay. That's good. By the way, we have a new member of our team. I want to place him as our go-to guy for information and other things involving books and spells. He knows a lot of things, and he will be our head researcher."
Lina: "Is it the Reaper?"
Idmon: "Yes."
She still looked nervous, so I might as well excuse myself.
She's still a girl, after all, barging into her room like this. Well, I don't know if it still applies to the undead.
Idmon: "Well, then, I'll leave you to your work, Lina."
Lina: "Uhmm-!"
Idmon: "Yes?"
Lina: "How are your limbs now, Lord Idmon?"
Idmon: "It is fine. Just heavier than before. I was so used to the rogue bones that I forgot how heavy regular bones were."
Lina: "That's great. Okay then, take care, Boss!"
Idmon: "Will do."

(Lina POV)
Lina: "Hah! Damn it! That's so embarrassing."
Lina pulled her hair while regretting something.
Also, once again, Ran is here. She called her out to ask for advice.
Lina: "I shouldn't have done that! That's so stupid to ask if he's okay. Of course, he's okay!"
Lina screams now in irritation. Ran is sitting some distance away from her to avoid getting hurt.
Lina: "I know Lord Idmon already knows what I'm doing, but why did he ask? Now I had to hide it from him because I'm ashamed of not telling him in the first place."
Ran had no idea what to say, so she remained quiet as always.
Lina: "You're a girl, right? Did you think Lord Idmon thought I was weird?"
Ran: "..."
Lina: "Why the hell am I so worried about this anyway?"
Lina got back to work before Ran could even say anything.
Ran: "..."
After saying goodbye, Ran left to join the others.
