The inside was the same as usual with adventurers crowding the quest board. I made my way to it and looked up at the quests. Most of them were C rank and above with requests to subjugate monsters and the occasional protection and escorting requests.

Airi said directing my gaze at a request.

It was a request to collect herbs.

I nodded and went to the reception desk. I told the receptionist about the quest and after taking my adventurer card and confirming it, she said that the quest has been assigned successfully. She told me that I'd have 48 hours to complete the quest. The pay would be 2 silver coins.

I thanked her and made my way out of the building.

First, I needed to get a weapon. So as per Airi directions, I bought a normal iron sword from a blacksmith nearby. And some bread and dried meat to eat for lunch.

And so I set out to the forest nearby.

The forest near the city which was the first place I arrived to in this world was called Penecour Forest. It encompassed an area larger than the city and I had heard that many monsters also roamed the forest. The herbs I had to collect were also inside the same forest and since I will be checking the skills as well, it seemed like a good place to check out.

I showed my card at the gate and made my way towards the forest.

Airi was explaining the skills.

(The skill all magic as the name suggests lets Master use all forms of magic available as per this universe laws. Let's call the magic as a magical law which is ingrained in the universe. The mages create a law from the universe and manipulates it. It requires an energy source to create a magical law and then execute it. The energy that humans have are different from monsters in the sense that it is stored in Energons in a monster but for humans, they can store it anywhere in the body. There are different ways the energy accumulation is taught in this continent. I would suggest Master to learn to store the energy all over the body.)

(Here the mages make what you would call a circle inside their hearts. The more the circles they have the more potent forms of magic they can use. I have already created one circle inside your heart. I would suggest Master to create a few more circles and also create circles inside the blood vessels. So that the energy is absorbed through your blood vessels and those in turn supply it to the circles in your heart. So that you will have two ways to sustain the circles. The circles will always stay open and absorb the energy from your surroundings. Even if the blood vessels are destroyed, you will still be able to use the circles in your heart and vice versa)

You will also be able to manipulate laws of things not limited to the above like, nature, space-time, metals, barrier, healing, sounds, etc. Please know that as long as you can identify it as an element and a law, you will be able to manipulate it. The degree of manipulation will depend on your experience so I would suggest you to practice as much as you can.)

While taking with Airi, I soon reached the forest. I went inside a little more and soon reached a clearing.

Soon I was able to use appraisal on the herbs Airi directed me to and able to collect more than required.

I opened the shop and searched for chemical tubes. I soon came upon them with stoppers attached. It said 10 GB per tube. I also searched for a big cauldron to make the potions. One was being sold for 50 GB. I bought 10 tubes and a cauldron. Of course, I had to uproot and sell another tree for me to be able to buy those.

(I think I need to find another way to collect GB. I can't keep uprooting trees.)

(Master, you will be able to sell monsters as well in the shop and it will convert to GB.)

I did as I was asked and soon the cauldron was filled with a glowing green liquid.

I did as I was asked using water magic and the glow in the potion got dimmer and dimmer.

I then scooped up the potions into the test tubes and put the rest of the cauldron inside the item box.

(Please use earth magic to collect metals from the earth. All parts of the earth contains small amount of metals. You will be able to collect them using earth magic.)

So I concentrated on the patch of grass near me while hovering my hand above it. I could feel the earth vibrate and a tingling feeling in my fingers. Soon small amounts of black dust began converging in my palm. As soon as I thought I had enough, I saw that a small lump of iron the size of a baseball was in my palm.

(It is pure iron. Since you thought of iron, only the iron was collected.)

(Please think of a shape for a sword.)

I took out the sword I had bought and concentrated on the lump of iron to create a duplicate of the same sword.

The iron began to change shape. It stretched and began to glow red and changed into the shape of the same sword I had bought. Though the handle was not completed. Interestingly, I didn't feel any heat coming from the iron in the process.

It looked much better than the one I bought as it glowed it the sunlight with the sharp edges shining.

(Please use a tree to create a handle. You will be able to manipulate wood as well.)

So I stored another tree inside my item box and collected a little bit more iron and used both of them to create a handle for the sword.

I held the sword and it felt light in my hands. I felt like I could swing it as many times as I wanted and not grow tired.

As soon as Airi said that, the knowledge of enchantments began to enter my mind and I could grasp the meaning behind those words.

(Please provide a few enchantments to the sword. I would suggest you reduce the weight further, add sharpness, anti corrosion and auto repair.)

I did as I was told. Since the information had already entered my mind, I was able to enchant the blade by touching and infusing it with energy and drawing small magic circles which were floating in my mind. I drew them with my finger and the circles glowed and disappeared as if absorbed into the sword.

I held the sword again and it didn't even feel like I was holding a sword. It was that light. I swung it a few times and I felt as if it could cut anything. Since I had all weapon mastery, I could instinctively feel which way I should swing and the postures I should take while swinging the sword.

(Alright, it feels great!)

I poured a small bit of energy into the sword and the edges began to glow.

I sat down in the clearing and began to breathe in and out. I could feel the particles of energy entering through my nose and getting distributed inside the body. I could feel the blood being pumped into my heart. I could feel the nerves and the air surrounding my body. When I concentrated, I could hear even the ants and the vibration of the earth. The sound of the wind and the trees swaying to it, rustling of the leaves and the sound of water drops coming from somewhere.

Then a pain suddenly seared through my heart

(Master, don't break your concentration.)

I continued sitting cross legged. The pain spread to the whole body and I could feel the blood pulsating though the veins. The pain went away and came back again and again disappeared. I could feel the muscles contracting. In this way, the pain came and went five times. I could feel myself drooling. I don't know how long I was in that state.

(Master, please open your eyes.)

I slowly opened my eyes and I was sprawled on the ground. It was already evening and the sun was about to set and I could see the three moons dimly in the sky.

(How long was I out)

I concentrated and I could feel tremendous energy emanating from the heart. I could feel a small source of power inside rotating surrounded by six circles which were also rotating.

I chose a spell called Ice age and cast it. I could feel the energy going from my heart to the blood and coming out from my hand.

The scenery in front of me completely turned white with ice spikes protruding from the ground and the ground frozen as far as I can see.

I felt like the magic flowed more naturally than the first time I used it. And I could feel my will being bound to the magic and the manipulation becoming better.

As I turned around to head back, I could instinctively feel someone watching me. I looked around for the source and I could see an old man coming out from behind a tree. He wore a white colored robe and had a long bushy beard. He was smiling.
