Then the focus began to move from the star and slowly zoomed onto a green colored planet. It was the third planet from the star.
As it began to dive deeper into the planet, we could see that it was a planet filled with greenery. It began to sweep over the planet and we saw that about sixty percent of the planet was filled with blue clear water. We also began to see lush forests and wide valleys. The valleys were filled with beautiful cities and countless number of elves going about their business. It looked to be a peaceful place filled with beautiful memories.
The buildings were made of shiny glass like metals and they gleamed brightly in the sunlight. We could hear the laughter of elven children and other people coming from the hologram.
Then the scenery began to shake and it abruptly changed to a brightly lit room.
An elf with a regal appearance came into view. He had a shining crown on his head and his long blond hair elegantly fell on his shoulders. He was talking to a group of elves sitting around a round table. They were discussing something.
"Where did it fall?"
The man asked with a complicated look on his face.
"On the Tiveril highway, Your Majesty."
Another said.
"Are you sure it's the same object?"
"Yes, Your Majesty. It's the same black meteor written about in our scriptures."
A hooded man in a white robe said bowing his head.
Then the scenery changed again to show us a rain of black meteors falling on a long highway made of reflecting metal. It looked like a cyclone had passed through. There were countless vehicles and corpses of elves strewn about.
Then, it began to zoom onto a meteor. The fallen meteor slowly began to chip away and a black creature reared its head. It was the Krigu. I clasped the hilt of my sword tighter and could feel the Adamantine cutting into my hand. I heard Ashryn gasp near me.
As the view zoomed out, we could see countless meteors still falling from the sky and the ground littered with them. Black creatures were coming out from all of them.
Smoke rising from the impact painted a gloomy landscape with the smoke blocking the sunlight. Muffled screams could be heard from the projection.
The projection then began to move towards the city. As the view concentrated on the city, we could see the panic spreading all over the place. Elves were running holding onto their families as the creatures invaded their houses. Houses and vehicles were being torn apart by their bare hands.
We could see countless elves in armor and robes fighting the creatures. They wore golden colored attires and were firing projectiles from their hands. As it zoomed out again, we could see armies consisting of thousands of elves charging towards the black creatures. The view zoomed out more and we could see the war happening all over the planet.
Then the projection began to shake again and it began to concentrate on the space surrounding the planet.
At first, there was nothing. But slowly, a large structure began to become visible. It was a long cylindrical shaped ship and it was continuously firing projectiles towards the planet. It resembled the black meteors that were falling all over the planet but it was much longer. It felt organic as we could see the surface move up and down as though breathing.
The view zoomed out again and we could make out more of these spaceships, all firing projectiles. The focus then slowly turned onto a dark spot in the sky. The projection began to vibrate with the images going in and out of focus but eventually a extraordinarily large spaceship came into view. It looked like the mothership. It was silently watching over the smaller ships. I could feel the strong malice coming from the ship even though it was a projection. Large red lights coming from the ship were sweeping over the smaller ships as if commanding them.
The ship was entirely black and we couldn't make out any identifying features. It was like a concentrated black spot in space. Suddenly, the hull of the large ship began to open and a black orb zoomed out at incredible speed. I could feel an innate fear spread inside of me. It was the same orb that was in the memories of Otien. It began to gradually descend and once it was closer to the planet's surface, it began to absorb the Krigus that had become motionless. Countless other Krigus joined in their stead from the rapidly fired meteors that were still falling from the sky.
Then the projection zoomed in again and began to rapidly descend towards a long tower standing in the middle of the planet. It was a extremely thin tower but resembled the magic towers of Thieca. Countless runes were carved onto it with an observatory-like structure built at the top.
The view went inside a dimly lit room and we could see an old elf with a long white beard and long flowing hair. He was sitting on the floor and fervently scribbling on a white paper. As the view got closer, we could see that he was drawing a strange looking magic circle. He also had a wide astronomy chart opened in front of him and he seemed to be making calculations by comparing the chart and drawing the circle at the same time.
As if he had arrived at something, he quickly got up. He sighed with a haggard look in his eyes and packed up the white paper with the magic circle and ran out of the room.
The view then changed to the palace again.
"Your Majesty, these are the coordinates."
The old elf was standing next to the king and was showing him the drawing.
"Are you sure? We'll only get one chance."
"Yes, I'm confident."
The king had dark circles under his eyes and was standing near a window, looking over the city. He had watched his city being turned upside down by the constant downpour of meteors and we could see the sadness evident in his eyes. After a while, he spoke.

"Alright, tell everyone to assemble at the warp circle. Send a large broadcast. I want everyone to hear it."
"Certainly, Your Majesty."
"And also send the information about the coordinates to all the other countries."
The old man bowed and left with his robe flapping in the wind behind him.
After a while, a small child and a woman came running to the king followed by guards.
"Father, Father, what is happening?"
The child asked as he flung himself at the king.
"I-It's just a war, my child. I need you to be courageous. Can you do that for our citizens?"
He held his son in his arms and asked.
The small child, not even out of his infancy, got down and saluted to the king and said.
"Yes, father. I'll give courage to our citizens!"
"That's my boy."
He said and ruffled his hair. Then he got down on his knees and spoke.
"Listen, Lumil. Do you know what your name means?"
"I-I think something shiny. Mother said so!"
"Haha, yes. It means brightness. You need to be a bright spark for our people even in the face of these adversities. Can you do that for me?"
"Of course, Father! B-But what is ad-ad-vasity?"
"Haha, just remember that I'll always be looking out for you."
The king sighed and held the child tightly. The child giggled, feeling his father's love and not knowing what was happening. But tears were flowing from the king's eyes as he held onto his son. The queen also moved closer and embraced both of them.
"I'm sorry, Father. I'm sorry, Mother. I wasn't good enough," the king cried.
We could see the sad faces of the guards guarding them.
"No, dear, you did everything you could. T-This is much larger than what we could have handled."
The queen consoled him, hugging him tightly.
"The queen is right, Your Majesty. You need to quickly get on the warp circle to give our remaining citizens hope."
An elegantly dressed elf said, after arriving next to the guards.
"No, Minister Giril. I need to be here and watch this until the end."
The king replied, looking up with a spark of determination in his eyes.
Again, the projection changed to the large tower.
The bearded old elf was back in his room and was speaking to a large clear crystal. It showed the images of other elven people wearing robes like him. He was showing the drawing and informing them of what do do.
"There are no other options. We must leave this world. Magus Kiteril is recording everything as we speak. We're hoping it will help our future generations."
"But, what if the inhabitants of that world are hostile?"
"Sigh, I understand your concerns but we have run out of options. It would take too long to find an uninhabited world. This world is now our best bet considering everything."
Their voices overlapped each other as everyone sighed and agreed. They seem to have accepted their fate.
Suddenly, another crystal near him began to beep. He excused himself and as the faces of the others faded away, he touched the beeping crystal and the king's face came into view.
"Is it ready?"
"Yes, you majesty. All the citizens are being gathered as we speak."
"I want you to initiate the teleportation as soon as possible."
"Of course. My disciples are already there and will be activating the warp circles immediately."
"Sigh, alright. And.....about the weapon...."
"It's ready as well. We're just awaiting your order."
"Could you send the controls to that to the palace?"
"Your majesty, I'll stay behind and use it. You should leave with your family. The elves will be lost without their commander. You're too valuable."
"No....I cannot leave this place. This place is stained with the blood of our innocent citizens and contains the memories of our forefathers."
"I.....wish to witness the retaliation and embrace death with a sense of peace, so that I can face my ancestors proudly in the afterlife."
"But...."
The old elf was about to say something but the king cut him off.
"Moreover, I've already transferred the throne to Lumil. Everyone will follow him now."
The old elf sighed.
"Understood, Your Majesty. I will arrive at the palace shortly."
"Very well."
The signal in the crystal was cut off and the image in the projection changed again.
The image began to zoom out and show the whole planet. We could see the spaceships continuing the barrage of meteors. The planet was scarred from the constant impacts and large craters could be seen everywhere. Tsunamis as big as twenty story buildings could be seen devastating the lands. In between them, rays of light could be seen growing prominent and disappearing all over the planet. They looked like warps.
The image was then cut off and again appeared and zoomed into the magic tower again.
It was a different room this time and there was a person sitting cross legged on the floor and meditating. It was another old elf with a large moustache and in front of him lay the same jade colored staff that was now floating in the air.
He was chanting and had one hand over the staff. Rays of light were forming on his palms and were being sucked inside the staff. The door to the room opened and the old elf with the long beard and came in.
"Here is the circle, Magus."
"Thank you, Avaril. You have done well. If not for this, you would've been the next Magus. I'm sorry," He said, with sadness in his eyes.
"I'm already thankful that you thought about it. I do not need anything else," Avaril said and smiled.
They began to draw the circle on the floor and placed the staff inside it.
"But how will the others find this?" Avaril asked.
"Don't worry, I have embedded a tracking spell on this. It will automatically call out to Lumil."
"Alright."
"When is His Majesty arriving?"
Suddenly the door to the room opened and the king entered with a group of guards. He was holding a glowing crystal.
Both of the mages got up and bowed.
"Are you ready? We don't know how they will retaliate after this."
He asked, looking at both of them.
"Yes, we are ready."
They replied with determination in their voices.
"Please continue to send mana into the circle," Magus Kiteril spoke to Avaril.
"Yes, Magus."
The king knelt down beside them and began to chant and the crystal began to glow even brighter.
The magus went into meditation and the projection zoomed out again and we had a top down view of the planet.
Suddenly, a beam arose from the large tower and it began to advance towards the sky. As we looked on, it went and struck the large mothership and small beams began to scatter and hit the smaller ships. Smoke began to rise from the mothership. We could see that the beam had gone through a large transparent barrier and struck it cleanly.
A spine chilling scream arose from the mothership. It could be heard reverberating in the whole planet. The force of the scream was such that, it even affected us. I looked back and everyone looked pale. Even I had trouble standing my ground.
Then the large ship began to change its shape and it transformed into a large cannon with mana flowing through the whole exterior like sparkling electricity. We knew a large attack was coming.
The projection descended again to the room and the king was sitting slumped on the ground. He looked spent. Through a window, we saw a large beam begin to fall on the planet and the ground being uprooted as it travelled towards the tower.
"This is the end."
The king said after his gaze fell on the beam.
"Thank you for your years of service."
"It has been our utmost pleasure, Your Majesty."
Everyone in the room said in unison.
We saw that the king and Avaril had joined the magus and were sending beams of light to the staff. The magic circle began to shine. A voice echoed from the projection.
"Please remember your roots. And always stay prepared. We do not know when or where the Nemenrul will strike again. But I sincerely hope that you can all find a safe heaven in the new world."
With those last words, the projection went dark and the staff fell to the floor with a clank.
I looked around and Ashryn and Rivera were sitting on the ground, dazed. Even Fleur and Floryn had a shocked look on their faces.
"T-This is much larger than I thought," Fleur muttered with her hand on her head.
Ashryn looked up at me.
"Wait, is that what Revati meant when she asked if I was a refugee?"
I nodded. When she had a questioning look on her face, I replied.
"Ah, well, it's a long story. I'll explain it to you another time."
She nodded and got up quickly.
"We need to get this to father as soon as possible."
"I agree with her," Fleur spoke from beside her.
"We are going to need all the help we can get."
