Chapter 66 Art is Explosion

Chapter 66 Art is Explosion

Compared to the distraught Slytherins, the atmosphere on the Gryffindor side was much livelier. They laughed even louder when they saw Rosier storm out of the Great Hall.

“George, is that the Firebolt 2000?"

Once the Slytherins were gone, a dark-skinned boy with long sideburns eagerly rushed to the twins, urging them, "What are you waiting for? Let us see it!"

His words were instantly echoed by the others, “Yeah, quickly open it and let us have a look.”

"Merlin's beard! This must be the best broom right now. Even the professional teams probably don’t have a Firebolt 2000."

However, in the face of everyone's urging, Fred and George showed no sign of opening the package.

George looked at the side of him with a look of disdain. "Hey, Lee Jordan. I’m Fred. Can’t you tell the two of us apart?"

“I'm sorry, Fred, I can see…"

"No, I'm Fred."

Next to him, the real Fred hooked his arm around him, "You fell for that simple trick? Honestly, I'm starting to doubt whether you're really our best friend."

Poor Lee Jordan was completely dumbfounded. He looked at the two identical faces beside him. He couldn't find any difference.

It must have been copied.

“Okay, Fred and George, I’m sorry." Lee Jordan shook his head and took a deep breath. “No matter which one of you is who, can you let me take a look at the Firebolt 2000? Just one look.

Please.”

If it had been any other time, Lee Jordan would have pointed at the twins' noses and ridiculed their pointless sense of humor. He might have even cursed them in slang.

But now, he didn't do that. He even apologized and bowed low.

He had no choice, he was under the eaves. As a loyal Quidditch fan, an unreleased new broom was incredibly attractive. He couldn't go to sleep without seeing it.

"What Firebolt 2000?" Fred glanced at him, "I don’t know what you’re talking about. Our broom is an old, worn-out Comet Two Sixty."

“I know. You want to keep it a secret…" Lee Jordan glanced around, "But the Slytherins are all gone now. We’re all friends here. It’s alright to take just one look…”

Fred and George remained silent.

"How about we go back to the common room?" Someone said, "It's definitely safer there."

"You can't do that…" Some Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws protested, "We want to see too."

But nobody cared about their thoughts now.

The Gryffindors surrounded the twins and rushed out of the Great Hall.

However, when they got to the Fat Lady’s portrait, they discovered that Fred and George had disappeared.

“They must have run off when they went upstairs.”

Lee Jordan was very aggrieved, "They’re so awful. They're even wary of their friends."

By lunchtime, the atmosphere at the Slytherin table was still tense.

They had searched Hogwarts for the whole morning, but they couldn't even find a trace of Fred and George. The two of them had disappeared into thin air.

Besides, the people who sent letters home hadn't received any answers. Some of the more irritable parents even scolded them in their replies, saying they should focus on their studies and stop thinking about these unrealistic things.

Rosier was one of them.

"Firebolt 2000? I have a Firebolt 2100. Do you want it?"

He crumpled the reply in his hand. He was about to throw it away when he suddenly thought of something. He pulled his hand back and asked angrily, "Still no news?"

Everyone looked at each other. Nobody said a word.

"Useless!"

Just as Rosier was about to overturn his plate, a Slytherin student rushed over.

"Captain, I've found out something."

Marcus Flint grinned, showing a row of large teeth. "I was walking past the Quidditch pitch when I saw the Gryffindor team. They must be trying to secretly test the broom's performance while we were eating in the Great Hall."

Rosier looked up.

Sure enough, the Gryffindor players were all missing from the Great Hall.

"Captain, should we go take a look?" Marcus asked tentatively.

"Let's go!"

Rosier didn't hesitate. He took a group of people and walked towards the Quidditch pitch.

As Marcus said, the Gryffindor team was indeed there. But they weren’t training or testing the broom’s performance. They were… fighting?

To be precise, the Weasley twins were fighting, and the others were trying to separate them.

Seeing this, Marcus was overjoyed, “The Gryffindors are having an internal conflict?"

The match was this afternoon. An internal conflict between their opponents was great news for Slytherin.

Besides, Rosier also discovered that the package delivered by the owl in the morning was right near the corridor where they were standing.

And there was nobody guarding it.

One minute later, the Slytherins left the Quidditch pitch. They gathered close together, blocking the person in the middle.

They didn’t return to the Great Hall to continue eating. They didn't go back to the common room either. They went into an empty classroom.

After closing the door, they dispersed, revealing the person in the middle… and the long package he was holding.

"Captain, is it okay to hide it here?" Marcus said worriedly. "I think it’s better to just put it in the common…"

Before he could finish, Rosier kicked him.

It wasn’t like he was stealing the broom. He just wanted to hide it before the match, so the Gryffindors couldn’t use it.

What was the point of putting it in the common room? What if someone let the secret slip?

Is Slytherin stealing a broom?

If this news got out, Professor Snape would be the first to make him pay.

Rosier looked around. The tables were all covered in a thick layer of dust. They hadn't been used for a long time.

"Let's do it here. Remember to hide it well." Rosier said.

But nobody moved. Everyone stood there, staring at the person holding the package.

After a long silence, someone suddenly suggested, "How about we open it and take a look? What if it’s not a broom? Then we're wasting our time."

The others nodded in agreement.

"No, we can’t open it."

Rosier decisively refused. He snatched the package and put it aside.

He knew the Gryffindors. If the news was false, then the package wouldn't be anything good.

So, it was best to leave it here untouched.

"Heh heh heh, clever little brats."

A milky-white dwarf suddenly appeared outside the window.

"Get lost, Peeves!" Rosier said coldly.

"You rude little brats! You're going to be punished!"

Peeves angrily smashed the window and threw a balloon filled with liquid inside.

The balloon didn’t hit anyone. It landed precisely on the package.

Whether it was because of the water or something else, the package started to expand violently.

"I knew it… Damn Peeves!"

Rosier turned to leave, but the door was stuck. He couldn’t open it from the inside.

He pulled out his wand, "Reducto…"

"Boom..."

With a loud bang, the package finally exploded. A strong stench instantly filled the entire classroom.
