The third day of school at Hogwarts was probably the most anticipated day for the Hufflepuff freshmen. It was Friday, and their classes were all their favorites.
In the morning, they had Herbology with Head of House Professor Sprout. In the afternoon, they had Defense Against the Dark Arts and Flying.
Early in the morning, they walked with the Gryffindors to the greenhouse outside Hogwarts Castle.
"Good morning, class, welcome to Herbology."
Pomona Sprout was a short witch with flowing grey hair. She always had dirt on her clothes, because she spent most of her time in the greenhouse tending to her flowers and plants.
She looked more like a humble gardener than a Head of House with a grand title.
But Professor Sprout didn't care. She stood at the entrance to the greenhouse, looking intently at the students before her.
"Before we enter the greenhouse, I must tell you some important things.
First, the plants growing in the greenhouse are all magical. They usually have some level of danger. Even ordinary white willow has sharp thorns, so you are not allowed to touch any plants without my permission.
Also, you're not allowed to make a noise or scream in the greenhouse. There are a few new plants I've just brought to Hogwarts, and they are still adapting to the environment. Loud noises will likely scare them.
Do you understand?"
"Yes, Professor!" The students replied in unison.
"Very good." Professor Sprout nodded.
Once they were inside the greenhouse, she arranged everyone on the left side. The right side was empty. ..., even if she hadn't arranged them this way, it's unlikely any of the students would have wanted to go over there.
"Professor, what are those weird things?" A Gryffindor student looked at the row of strange yellow plants across from him. His face turned green.
Merlin's beard! This was the first time he had seen a cabbage with teeth. The mouth was almost as big as his head. If it bit him, the consequences would be dire.
Thinking about this, he moved back further.
"Bitey Cabbage. You'd do well to stay away from them." Professor Sprout said with feigned lightness, "But don't worry too much. They might look terrifying, but they are good kids. If you don't provoke them, there will be no danger.
Besides, in a few days, once they've adapted to the environment here, they will be moved to a larger greenhouse. You won't see them next time you have class."

"Alright." Professor Sprout clapped her hands. "Now, let's start the lesson. Turn to page one. Today, we're going to learn about white willow.
Does anyone know what white willow is…?"
If you ignored those terrifying Bitey Cabbages, this Herbology lesson was pretty perfect.
Professor Sprout had a wealth of Herbology knowledge. She explained things carefully, using real objects for reference. The students found it incredibly easy to learn.
By the end of the lesson, almost everyone could answer every question she asked perfectly.
This made Professor Sprout very happy. She gave each house three points and gifted everyone a fresh white willow leaf.
This was basically like a magical Band-Aid. Kyle had used a lot of them before, and they worked very well. As long as you cleaned the wound and secured the leaf, it would heal by the next day.
Of course, this only worked for minor wounds from everyday life. If it was more serious, you would need a white willow extract.
After class, the students left the greenhouse in groups.
Mickel found Kyle in the crowd and ran up to him, curiously asking, "What did you pick up earlier?"
"What are you talking about?" Kyle looked at him in confusion. "I've been loosening the soil around the white willows."
"I saw it." Mickel said confidently, "You ran over to the other side while Professor Sprout was turning to get a shovel. You were picking something up under the flower pots."
"You mean that?" Kyle realized, "Nothing, it's just that Professor gave me some fertilizer and it fell there. I went to pick it up."
"Fertilizer?" Mickel looked at Kyle suspiciously, clearly not believing him.
A very small bag and it wasn't round. It couldn't fall that far.
"Hmm, maybe I kicked it over by accident. I was scared when I saw it." Kyle said with a look of fear, "Those Bitey Cabbages are terrifying. Honestly, I wouldn't have gone to pick it up if I wasn't afraid Professor Sprout would deduct points."
"Is that right?"
Seeing that Kyle was making it up so well, Mickel gradually dismissed his suspicions and nodded. "Those Bitey Cabbages look scary. If it was me, I wouldn't dare to go over there."
"Who can blame you?" Kyle shrugged, "By the way, did Professor Sprout say when she's teaching you to control your magic?"
"Hmm, Professor asked me to see her on Saturday and Sunday mornings."
Mickel said with a little frustration, "It's the first weekend at Hogwarts, and I have to go to class…"
"There's nothing you can do about it." Kyle patted him on the shoulder and comforted him, "You can't just keep drinking the anti-magic potion."
Hearing the words "anti-magic potion," Mickel subconsciously shuddered and shook his head, "You're right. I'd rather never have a weekend again than drink that stuff."
"Right?"
After they returned to the castle, Kyle had Mickel and Ryan go back to the dorm first. He then used the excuse of going to the library, went straight to the eighth floor, and found the tapestry of the troll hitting the idiot Barnabus.
Barnabus was a wizard who tried to teach trolls to dance ballet but was beaten up by six trolls.
It was clear from the tapestry that he was badly beaten.
After confirming that the location was correct, Kyle took a deep breath, walked back and forth three times, and silently muttered in his heart,
"I need a greenhouse for gardening."
The third time Kyle walked past the tapestry, a round archway appeared on the wall opposite.
Kyle didn't hesitate. He grabbed the brass handle and pushed the door open.
The unique fragrance of soil instantly filled the air.
Although he had expected it, the scene before him still stunned him.
The room was almost as big as the Great Hall. The fertile soil was underfoot. You could even see the sun above.
It must be some kind of charm.
Kyle tentatively whispered, "I need rainwater."
The next second, the previously sunny room was instantly flooded with heavy rain. And the rainwater seemed to be aware, only falling on the soil. Kyle stood there, not even a single hair on his head got wet.
"Amazing," Kyle exclaimed sincerely.
This is what the Room of Requirement was all about.
Using this as a secondhand storage room… was a complete waste.
