While Kyle and Hagrid were talking, Kanna was completely confused the whole time.
Who am I? What am I doing here? What are they talking about?
Wasn't the dog's appetite bad? Why did they suddenly start talking about three-headed dogs?
And what was a three-headed dog? A dog with three heads? But there was no dog in this room.
"Kyle…" Kanna quickly asked her question, taking advantage of Hagrid's silence, "What were you talking about?"
But Kyle didn't answer her directly. He looked at Hagrid and nudged him with his chin, "Bring it out. Stop hiding. I'm not a professional vet. I need to see the situation for myself."
"I don't..." Hagrid tried to resist, but thinking about his furry friend's current state, he sighed, "Fine, but you can't tell anyone."
"Of course." Kyle nodded. "I swear on Cedric's character."
Hagrid, in a complex mood, didn't hear what Kyle said. He got up and went out of the room.
But Kanna heard.
"Why did you swear on Cedric's character?" The young witch asked in confusion.
"Don't worry about the details." Kyle waved his hand, "If I had one, I would have used my own."
Kanna didn't say anything and silently moved to the side.
Hagrid returned quickly. It seemed like he had hidden Fluffy not far away.
Back in the cabin, Hagrid drew the curtains. Then, he lifted the mole-skin coat that was covering his arms, revealing Fluffy, who was hidden underneath.
Fluffy was now about the size of a cow. When he realized he was being carried back into that narrow room, he immediately hung his head and lay on the ground without moving.
Kanna was startled. She didn't expect that Hagrid actually brought back a dog with three heads, and it was so… ugly!
Fluffy looked the same as other large beasts in the wizarding world. All of them were ugly in their way.
And Fluffy was no exception. His large, toothy mouth took up almost half of his head. The flesh near his nose was piled up in layers, looking like a washboard.
"Could three-headed dogs have some Shar-Pei blood?"
Kyle scratched his head, thinking uncertainly.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
After all, he had never seen a three-headed dog before. Newt's suitcase was magical, but it didn't have everything.
even in Greece, three-headed dogs were very rare. They were probably as rare as Basilisks.
Kyle was sure that whoever sold it to Hagrid was a complete amateur.
"What luck." Kyle couldn't help but rub Fluffy's ugly-cute head.
The fur was very rough. It felt like he was rubbing a very old shoe brush.
It felt much worse than Fang.
The little guy was quite aggressive. When he discovered that his head was being rubbed, he opened his mouth and bit Kyle's hand.
Kyle dodged and lightly patted the middle head, "Don't be silly. I'll give you something good later."
Fluffy immediately calmed down and whined at Kyle.
"What about Wrackspurt jerky?" Kyle thought for a moment. "It's a bit firmer than beef. You should like it."
"Woo-woo…"
"Thirty pieces?" Kyle frowned, "No, too much. I only have nine. You three can divide it evenly."
While Kyle was haggling with Fluffy, Hagrid, standing next to them, almost popped his eyes out. He looked at Fluffy, then at Kyle, saying in disbelief, "Mr. Scamander even taught you this?"
Kyle just smiled and didn't say anything.
In the wizarding world, many people knew that Chris could talk to magical creatures. But Chris's public explanation was that "Mr. Scamander taught him."
Since Newt never publicly denied it, people naturally believed this explanation.
In their opinion, Newt Scamander, being the greatest magical creature expert of the century, having a few skills that others didn't was perfectly normal.
Only a few people knew the truth. For example, the Weasley couple, and Newt's wife and Dumbledore… no, that one was uncertain, cross that out.
Hagrid was not one of those people.
"Merlin's beard, it seems like Mr. Scamander thinks highly of you." Hagrid said enviously to Kyle, "I begged him for a long time, and he wouldn't teach me how to talk to magical creatures."
"It's just a little trick, Hagrid." Kyle took out a Wrackspurt jerky and fed it to Fluffy. He laughed, "I'm sure even if you can't understand him, you understand what he's trying to say."
"Yes, I can." Hagrid said proudly, "I always know what Fluffy wants. And Fluffy understands me. He was so mischievous as a puppy, but as soon as I start to sing, he's sure to fall asleep."
To prove he wasn't boasting, Hagrid even demonstrated. He lightly patted Fluffy and started to sing.
Then, Kyle heard Fluffy's words.
"Here we go again. Here we go again. My head hurts so much."
"Go to sleep, go to sleep. You'll be fine once you're asleep..."
"Sleep, quickly!"
Fluffy's three heads closed their eyes simultaneously. A few seconds later, he began to snore. The action was so practiced, it was heartbreaking.
"See, he's asleep," Hagrid said happily.
Kyle chuckled. Seeing Hagrid's happy expression, he thought for a moment and decided not to tell him the truth. Instead, he brought up the topic again.
"He's big now, Hagrid." Kyle touched Fluffy's head, "You've noticed, right? He's been very down ever since we entered the room. You need to take him to the Forbidden Forest as soon as possible."
"I know, but I'm not sure…" Hagrid said with a little disappointment, "Fluffy's still so young. What will happen to him without me to take care of him?"
Kyle raised an eyebrow. He thought Hagrid should be worried about the other creatures in the Forbidden Forest.
Hagrid's eyes darted around. He continued, "Besides, if I take him to the Forbidden Forest, Dumbledore might see him. What if he takes Fluffy away?"
"Then take him further. Take him deep into the Forbidden Forest." Kyle said, "Don't forget it's a special time right now. The Aurors from the Ministry of Magic are constantly chasing after those magical creatures of unknown origin. Being seen by Dumbledore is better than being seen by them."
"That Greek guy isn't on their side." Hagrid's face flushed red with excitement, "I checked. He's not in the photo the Ministry published."
"But the Aurors won't care about that." Kyle said calmly, "What they care about is that you just bought a three-headed dog of unknown origin, right before those people were arrested."
