This meant taking every instruction seriously too. He wanted to live and since the weird events around him somehow helped him kill all his brothers, he didn’t see it as something that was actually bad.
Just a couple of seconds after he stepped out of his room, he found himself in what seemed to be a wide and endless hall which seemed to stretch out on both sides to no end.
He looked up to see extremely high ceilings and red arrows pointing for him to walk forward.
*WALK FORWARD*
He had only just taken a couple of steps forward when he looked back to see that his room had suddenly disappeared and behind him were even more people just coming out of their own respective rooms.
Their room doors would also disappear and the people behind them could be seen.
He was still staring behind him wondering just how many people would keep appearing when he suddenly heard a scream from the side, shocked to see a chubby boy, with a plate of food in his hand, step out extremely late from his room door compared to those on his line.
He had only taken a foot out with one foot remaining when his room door disappeared and Karh watched in shock, slightly horrified to see his remaining leg disappear along with it.
There was no blood and it simply seemed like he never had the foot to begin with.
“Ahhh…” his stunned screams filled the air and even Karh could tell that it wasn’t because he was in any sort of pain.
The very next second, Karh turned forward, his face slightly paler than before, as he hastened his steps, as he walked forward until he was where he saw most of the people that came out around the same time he did.
He could feel his heart racing in his chest, beyond convinced that some of them had for sure, disappeared simply for not coming out in time.
Just like him he noticed the confused expressions on the faces of people around him, but even with the confusion evident on their faces, he could feel just how serious they took whatever was happening at that moment.
‘I’m glad I agreed to wear the strange clothes,’ Karh thought knowing that he would have stood out like a sore thumb if he had chosen to wear his waist cloth which couldn’t be a good thing especially since he had no idea what was happening or going to happen.
After walking for a while looking he walked forward until he reached a place filled with people and although everywhere was packed full, there were still enough spaces around them.
Following the symbols and boxes on the floor, and from the actions of those in front of him, he quickly chose a box making sure that there was none available in front of him before he chose.
It was a small box with enough space to fit two of him, and the distance between where he stood and where the next person beside him was, was about half a feet apart.
Karh was extremely curious to know what was happening around him but he otherwise kept quiet and simply waited for everything to unravel in front of him.
But although he kept quiet, that didn’t mean that others beside him did.
On his right was a man of about thirty years old, wearing what was called ‘glasses’ something he had learnt from his many hours of watching the big screen coupled with the instruction of the voice in his head. He had a serious expression on his face and a gentle air around that easily made the person on his own right, who was an extremely young girl of about thirteen, easily start to narrate how she found herself there.
“My mum gave me a red ball for my birthday and the moment I touched it, it asked “Do you accept the inheritance? I said yes, I accepted it and I instantly found myself here. I had to spend thirty days by myself before I was finally allowed to come out. I miss my family and I want to go home,” the girl complained after penetrating the events that happened to her.
Karh wasn’t the only one that was flabbergasted at what he heard as the person on his left had also been listening, raising his voice to speak all the way from where he stood.

“WHAT! How is that possible? I only got a week. I had to slave away for days doing a bloody quest one I wasn’t able to complete. I was even heavily punished,” The man yelled in annoyance, not at all trying to hide how he felt.
He looked much older than the thirty something On Karh’s right and the kind of person he was, couldn’t be clearer from his brutish manner of speaking and behavior.
Still Karh paid rapt attention to his words. He at least managed to get a week, Karh knew that he only got a day but he wasn’t about to announce his uniqueness to everyone there.
With how much bad luck he had had, he couldn’t help but feel that it might not be a good thing to do so.
But in his heart, he couldn't help but be jealous of the young girl who simply had to open her mouth and accept the inheritance and was instantly brought here to wait in bliss.
He was still thinking of this when his mind flashed to the first time he touched the ball and he almost audibly gasped in horror as he realized what had possibly been a mistake on his own part as he recalled his own experience and exactly what he had said.
{DO YOU ACCEPT THE FORGOTTEN INHERITANCE}
“Give me the inheritance... it's the only way I’ll live,”
‘To think my response could be the reason why I got such a death quest’ realizing that even the man on his left had simply been punished, and didn’t mention anything that seemed to be a threat to his life even if he was clearly still pissed about it.
Still, he could be wrong and it could simply be something random but Karh decided to still pay more attention to every single thing he did from then on, if he wanted to get through whatever was happening to him and everyone around him unharmed.
The whispers around him slowly grew louder as more people around also began to discuss how many days they spent in their rooms, as they all soon realized that it all differed.
While some of them spent thirty days some only got to spend five with the lowest he heard from where he stood being three.
He also greedily listened to the stories and experiences of others around him without saying a word hoping to learn something from them, but halfway through all he felt was a deep irritation that stemmed from his soul.
Not one of them had the fear of death hovering over their heads and all they got even with a complete failure was some form of punishment or whipping.
‘Why then did I almost die in mine?’ Karh wondered to himself. ‘Would I actually have died?’ he asked himself as he slowly began to doubt the voice in his head more and more with every second that went by.
Finally, he couldn’t hold in the many questions he had any more as he finally opened his mouth to speak, interrupting a young girl around his age who stood in front and had turned around to join the conversation they were having.
“Sorry to interrupt you but does everyone also have a weird voice in their head? Karh asked in a slightly hesitant tone, slightly worried that this particular phenomena would only be somehow unique to him.
Instantly everyone went completely silent, moving to stare at him with the thirteen year old being the one to break the silence.
“Of course. I call it a guide. It was the one that said that I should simply say I accept the inheritance when I was confused at what was going on. It also explained how this place is called a holding station and how I needed to wait for 30 days before I could meet other people. It said that my mom could also be here but it would be extremely hard to find her,” the girl explained in an extremely good way, giving way more information than she needed to give, but which none of them could complain about.
“Yes…I also have the voice in my head. It's actually very helpful and usually only chips in sometimes. You can also ask questions or ask for help…” the cool and calm guy with the glasses added.
On Karh’s left was the grumpy and brutish older man who seemed to look even more annoyed than before as he opened his mouth to speak.
“The voice in my head barely talks and even when I ask for help whatever it gives is mostly useless,” He scoffed in annoyance and Karh almost found himself nodded suddenly feeling done sort of kinship with him even though he simply glared at Karh even more the second he felt his gaze on him.
Karh wasn’t at all ruffled about it and simply moved his gaze away, he didn’t know exactly what was going on and instead of drawing conclusions too early he might as well wait for answers.
If it was a quest, he would do it and if he could quit he would instantly do it. With all his brothers dead, he didn’t need any power or glory or even his father’s seat as the Carhan, he just wanted enough power to protect himself and live a normal life.
‘Maybe find a woman of my own,’ he thought, his mind straying a little, wiping off the sudden intrusive thoughts that suddenly appeared in his head.
Just when he felt that his mind was about to stray even more, suddenly the air around them suddenly felt much heavier to breathe and right above them appeared huge black screens from nowhere, filling every corner as far as his eyes could see, until he could look no further.
Loud whispers of confusion filled the air and even Karh couldn’t help but be confused when suddenly the screen suddenly came on and a man wearing a black inner jacket with a top coat. A round bowler hat on his head and a golden stick in his hand suddenly appeared on the skin.
He had a weird smile on his face but that wasn’t the most eye-catching thing about him.
