Gerinda, the thirteen year old girl wailed loudly. Her shoulders trembling ever so slightly as tears slowly streamed down her face.
“I didn’t…didn’t mean to. If…sniff…If I give you my carrrd, I’ll dieeeeee,” she cried with a face full of tears, as some mucus slowly seeped out of her nose only for her to sniff it back in as she continued to wail.
Juna had a slightly lost expression on his face, his gaze shifting around in a way that made it seem like he was asking for help.
{9:39} Nine minutes more and the chaos was slowly but surely getting out of hand. The noises were louder, the voices were harsher and the sounds of more weapons being used to communicate rang heavily in the air.
Especially with how close death seemed to loom within sight. 9 minutes wasn’t too far away.
“I’ll get it over quickly if I were you,” Someone said to Juna who stood in front of the crying girl not knowing what to do.
“I know right. If any one else sees her, they’ll attack and you’ll instantly lose your chance,”
“The girl is pitiful but do you really think she can survive in this type of world. Look at her!”
“We’re no longer on earth. Who’s going to protect a little girl like her. Everyone is bound to want to take advantage of her!”
“I agree! It’s better for her to die here,”
Karh completely ignored the voices around him but Juna couldn’t as every single word said by the people around him seemed to drill right into his skull.
{6:59}
“HELP ME! Someone help me!”
A shrill scream suddenly rang out followed by the loud sounds of gunshot sounds from an entirely different corner, from where the previous shout came from.
The smell of blood in the air was extremely faint, yet Karh had a feeling that things were only about to get worse as he saw people without cards forming groups to gang up on others.
While those with cards of their own also formed groups to protect themselves.
Karh grabbed the invisible dagger in his knife tightly prepared to use it the moment the need for it appeared. He didn’t have a card that could be stolen but it would be stupid for him to lower his guard and get killed by a misdirected attack.

Even Juna could no longer stay still any longer as his eyes Slide Over to the huge timer in the air. In a split second he realized that he only had at most 4 minutes remaining to live, without a card.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
“GIVE ME THE CARD!” He ordered in a loud voice but Gerinda, didn’t even say a word as she simply clenched the card tighter in her hands, with her head lowered to the ground.
With occasional sniffles that showed that she was still crying but merely doing her best to hold it in.
The moment he finally snapped was clear to whosoever had been intently staring at him as he suddenly walked forward stepping right into her box, as he gripped the bat in his hand as hard as he could.
“Hey! I need the card more than you do. If you don’t give it to me, then I’ll have no choice but to take it from you,” Juna said his heart pounding louder in his chest as he shifted his eyes to glance at the timer in the air.
{3:02}
He could no longer take it anymore. He rushed forward to grip her arms and pry them wide open to get the card he needed.
By the time the countdown was over, the card needed to be in his hands.
Karh would have loved to watch but he couldn’t completely focus all his attention on what was going on there, especially since a menacing group without cards were approaching his side with a frenzy and worst of all, they seemed to be winning.
One of them had a gun and he seemed to also be a great shot, and he wasn’t at all shy when using it as he took out people one after the other, allowing the people behind him to grab the cards left behind.
Karh didn’t have a card, but the fear in his heart was deep at the thought that if the gun had been directed at him, his death would be unavoidable.
‘I want power,’ shocked at the unexpected thought that suddenly popped in his head even as he continued to watch everything that was going on around him.
Juna is bound to get the card from the girl.
Nort beside him would most likely be safe if nothing unexpected happened.
{2:10}
Karh lowered himself to the ground and Nort seeing his weird actions didn’t even ask questions as he simply went ahead to do what he did without so much as questioning whether or not it was the right thing to do.
{1:59}
Karh couldn’t help but wonder what was taking Juna so long to pry the card out of a thirteen year old’s hands, only to watch in astonishment as Gerinda suddenly climbed on top of him and sank her teeth right into his juggler.
Karh was shocked but still felt it was an ordinary bite until he watched her open her eyes, to reveal red bloody eyes.
She didn’t stop there, even after tearing his neck open, his blood spraying in almost every direction.
In one sharp and almost unseeable move, Karh watched as she gently placed both arms around his neck and twisted it to the side as easily as someone would twist open the cap on a bottle.
‘She doesn’t have a weapon because she herself is the weopon,’ realizing that the reason why she hadn’t transformed was no because she couldnmt but most likely because she didn’t want to.
She didn’t get a quest and was instantly brought here.
How did she get such a power?
Does this mean that the game is actually somehow fair?
Karh wondered as he stared at Juna twitching body in the ground with an expression of shock, and regret on his face.
{00:39}
Everyone without a card, no longer hesitated even if they did before. Even those whose weapons were clearly worse than others still went ahead to fight.
Fighting brought hope and one thing everyone was sure of was the fact that Mr Z ‘s promise of death was definitely not a ruse.
