"I can't do that Zach." Jade refused.
"Why not?"
"There are conditions that have to be met before one can request a permit. I have to offer twice my usual tax payment, the rent for the new spot and cart will be doubled as well. But if we're being realistic, there's no way my agent will agree to my demands, especially if he goes through my history with the guild and notices the amount of debt I have. He'll definitely ignore me."
"Then we'll pay triple the rent."
"What? Are you even listening to me? There's no way he'll..."
"You're wrong, big sister. He will. We just have to come to an agreement that will satisfy both of us."
"And how do you intend on doing that?"
"We'll set a particular price as our target to be reached before the end of tomorrow. Once we achieve this, we'll ask him to let us keep the new cart, equipment, and the permits of the new locations till the month ends when we'll pay thrice the amount others are paying."
"New carts, equipment and permits? You want the agent to lend us new equipment to sell food in two different locations?"
"Yes and no."
"What do you mean?"
"We'll work at three different locations."
"...." Jade's eyes and mouth widened in disbelief and she was left speechless by Zach's words. She rubbed the sides of her head to calm the incoming headache.
Never had she heard someone utter such nonsense before.
Not once had any food vendor worked at three different locations in a single day, it was simply unheard of. It was also rare to see chefs working in two separate places and now Zach wanted them to work at three different places in a single day?
Just what the heck was running through his mind?
Jade clenched her fist as a white glowing mana circled it, enhancing the strength of her fingers while hardening the blood flowing through her veins.
"Are you insane?! This isn't a joke!" Jade lashed out at Zach but he tried to calm her down. This was her life they were talking about and he understood that she didn't want him to view the situation as a joke.

"I know, so take a deep breath and listen to me first."
"..." Jade didn't say anything but listened as he had told her to. The mana flowing around her fingers slowly vanished as she listened to Zach.
"Once we have the cart and other cooking utensils, we'll ask for a permit for three different locations and for three separate periods."
"What are the locations you have in mind? You must know that the locations can't be too far apart or else we won't be able to keep to time."
Zach nodded in understanding. "True, and that's why our locations will be dependent on foot traffic."
"Foot traffic?"
"Precisely. It will be during lunchtime, evening rush and late-night hours."
"...," Jade pondered on his words but Zach continued to elaborate on his idea as he wanted her to understand.
"During lunchtime, precisely between 11:30 am and 02:00 pm, we'll request a work permit near concert halls, at evening hours (around 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm), we'll head towards guild districts and finally we'll end the day in a coliseum during late night hours."
"..." Listening to Zach, Jade was left speechless and impressed. Based on the timing he chose, she could see the reasoning behind his decisions.
During lunchtime, they would be close to the concert halls of entertainment guilds.
Jade understood the benefits that could be obtained from staying in places like these. Concert halls attract large crowds, which provides vendors with a high volume of potential customers.
It would also increase her visibility and exposure to not only new customers but also customers who frequented the other vendors around.
It wouldn't be surprising to see two to three nobles making a call to the culinary guild in need of her name and other designated spots she might be at if everything went well.
As for evening hours, the guild district was the perfect place to stay in. Not only was it an area with a high concentration of guild buildings, but it was also a great place to capture a steady stream of customers looking for dinner options after working hours.
And finally, to crown it all, moving towards the coliseum late at night (08:00 pm to 11:00 pm) was beyond perfect.
Everyone knew how important people in the city loved fights between gladiators that took place in the Coliseum.
The Coliseum was like an oasis for contestants who weren't offered a job in the adventurer, knights or hero guilds. Of course, their ultimate goal was still to end up in one of these guilds and the best way to get there was by winning just one battle in the ring of the coliseum.
However, this was easier said than done.
Hundreds of contestants applied every single day but only single digits of contestants made it through a single day, and that was all they would need to be recognized by the three aforementioned guilds.
Some take a new role in the coliseum while others move on to achieve their desired dreams.
This was why the coliseum was always packed at night.
The coliseum was always bustling during nighttime and customers seeking late-night snacks or post-battle meals were the target during times like these.
Of course, this was the plan for just tomorrow, Zach also informed Jade of several other ideas he had in his mind and the things he wanted them to implement before the end of the month.
Jade could also see that it was a lot better than the public transportation hubs she usually targeted every single day during late-night hours.
Leaving his other plans aside and focusing on the plans he had for her tomorrow, Jade could already imagine the benefit she could reap tomorrow if everything turned out the way they wanted it to.
However, there were still a lot of things that needed to be noted down to avoid anything wrong from happening.
