Overall, the Eastern Continent was a thriving world that seamlessly combined the rich traditions of the dwarves with the innovative spirit of the humans.

Zach dropped the tablet on the desk before him, needing a moment to assimilate everything he had read so far.

After a few minutes, he picked up the tablet to read another article about the other continents and their diverse history.

After he was done, which was a few hours later, he decided to learn about mana and how it made its way to the world of Hestia.

Mana was rumoured to be a gift from the six goddesses of Hestia.

To be able to harness mana, a person would need a blessing from at least one goddess.

Soon after, every race in Hestia was able to harness mana after being blessed by the goddess they served.

Things became a lot easier for everyone.

Lifting heavy objects, moving faster and strengthening certain body parts became easier as a result of mana. But mana did not only affect humans and other races, it also affected the plants and animals.

Some plants with a low amount of mana in them grew bigger and their fruits were a lot sweeter than before while some plants with high amounts of mana in them were either useful or dangerous, and behaved in extraordinary ways.

For animals, some were capable of wielding mana while others couldn't.

In a nutshell, mana brought a lot more positive impact than negative impact right after it was introduced to the world.

However, the same couldn't be said about corrupted mana.

Unlike mana, corrupted mana was a dangerous form of mana that took away the lives of millions of people who tried to harness it.

Over the years, it was later referred to as miasma.

Just like mana, it was rumoured that miasma was actually a gift from a separate goddess, different from the six aforementioned goddesses.

But unlike other goddesses, those who received her blessing instantly met their demise as no one could successfully harness miasma without risking their lives.

With the knowledge of the consequences, it didn't take long for all the races to abandon any hope of ever being able to harness miasma.

Due to the presence of mana in the world, dungeons appeared in places with a high concentration of it.

The dungeons were ranked from G to S, with the S-rank dungeons being the most difficult to clear.

These dungeons provided job opportunities to so many people in cities across the continent.

Jobs like adventurers, heroes, Knights and mages were the jobs that paid the most in this world, with heroes being the top earners on the list.

This was why thousands wanted to become heroes but only a few were capable of achieving their dreams.

The primary focus of adventurers and Mages was to clear the dungeons and prevent a dungeon overflow.

Knights were tasked with protecting the people in case a dungeon overflow occurred while the heroes were responsible for dealing with the demons whenever they arrived.

So far, things have been going smoothly for the past few centuries, as the least number of deaths the cities had ever encountered was recorded.

People had even begun to think that this was how things would be for a long time, but what they didn't know was that the worst was yet to come.

Meanwhile, the demons refused to stay in their continents, rather, they wanted other races under their control.

The demons were a war-oriented race that was inherently inclined towards conflict, warfare and aggression.

In their quest to exert their dominance, they began a war against other races, but the collaboration between the dragons, humans, elves, mermaids, and dwarves made it difficult for the demons to win the war.

Newly recruited heroes and heroines were trained at the World Academy of the Central Continent, and this ensured that the other races lived in peace for the past decade since the demons took over the beast continent.

Zach continued to read about the world's history and the cultures of the different races as well.

Afterwards, he focused mainly on the Eastern continent, studying the different kinds of jobs available in the city he lived in and the types of jobs that would make him earn a lot compared to others.

He continued this throughout the night without feeling the need to sleep.

After a while, Zach decided to rest a bit and just look at his status. He was still surprised by all that had happened till now.

However, his eyes fell upon Jade's favourability which was now displayed alongside that of Aurora and Luna's.

Seeing this, he knew that Jade's favourability must have increased, which was why he could see it now. Although, he couldn't help but wonder what made Jade's favourability of him suddenly increase.

Still, he knew his cooking had a role to play in increasing her favourability.
