Aside from the three of them who were currently in the mansion, and Jade, who would soon return home, everyone else would only be coming back home in a few days or more.
One of the girls was currently an adventurer and working in a dungeon, another was developing her forging skills, and another sister was on a separate continent studying alchemy.
Meanwhile, Sue was working in a guild as a healer with another one of his sisters working closely with her so she could learn more.
This was why Zach only kept Jade's food and not everyone else's while the remaining porridge was shared between the three of them.
Right after Zach finished eating, he grabbed his plate and excused himself from the two girls.
"Thank you for the meal," He said, before leaving the dinner table.
Aurora and Luna were left speechless by Zach's sudden display of politeness.
It was the first time he had ever thanked them for anything and neither of them really knew how to react to it; especially since he had cooked the food. They could only stare at him as he left the dining room.
However, the real reason he acted like that was unknown. Even Zach didn't know why he said that.
A part of him just wanted to thank the two of them for not giving up on the original character in the novel when he thought he had no one else who cared about him.
However, things were about to change from what happened in the novel.

Walking out of the dining room, Zach headed straight to the library to pick up the tablet that he had initially intended on grabbing before encountering Luna in the hallway.
The moment his gaze fell on the tablet which was on the library desk, he increased his pace.
After grabbing the tablet, he immediately left the library, but on his way back to his room, he suddenly saw Jade walking into the dining room with a grocery bag in her hand.

"I guess she's back from work," Zach muttered and watched as Jade and Luna started talking to each other.
"Big sister Jade!! You're back!!!" The five-year-old girl exclaimed excitedly.
A big smile spread on Jade's face as she entered the dining room, and noticed that both Luna and Aurora were on their seats.
Linking Luna's excitement to the grocery bag she was carrying, Jade tried to assure both Aurora and Luna that she would try her best to make dinner as fast as she could even though she was exhausted from work.
"I'm so sorry for returning late, I'll try to prepare dinner as quickly as I...," She stopped mid-sentence, noticing the empty plates in front of them.
Her nose twitched a bit as she sniffed the air which still had the lingering aroma of Zach's delicious vegetable porridge.
"You guys have eaten?" She asked with a perplexed look on her face.
She knew no one in the house except her could cook, and she couldn't imagine Aurora grabbing a kitchen knife to cut vegetables unless those vegetables were training dummies; then, she might pick up a kitchen knife.
And there was no way Luna could have prepared the meal, her height was too short to even reach the sink.
"Yes, we've eaten. You should eat too, yours is over there," Luna pointed her cute little hand towards the seat with Jade's plate in front of it.
The plate had been neatly covered to help keep the food warm before she arrived.
Feeling hungry and curious about the food's taste, Jade decided to take a seat.
"Who made this?" She asked, staring at the food in front of her before picking up her spoon to take a sip. But she stopped midway after hearing the words coming out of Aurora's lips.
"It was Zach."
"What? Really?!"
"Mmhmm," Luna nodded her head. "And he's talking to everyone now as well," she added.
Surprised to hear this, Jade turned her head and directed her question towards Aurora. "Is this true?"
"Yes, it is."
"Wow, and here I thought he was useless and was only going to remain a mute till he grew old and died."
"Argh," Zach, who had been eavesdropping on their conversation, felt an arrow pierce him from the back.
Luna giggled as her sharp fox ears heard Zach's reaction even though he was far away from them.
Aurora also heard it, but she tried her best to suppress the smile on her face.
Unlike Aurora and Luna who were beast girls with a heightened sense of smell and hearing, Jade on the other hand was different.
She was a human, and so didn't hear Zach's reaction to her words.
Although Jade was surprised by Zach's sudden change, she was still curious as to how the food would taste.
She took a sip of the porridge and the warm food melted on her tongue and seeped into her taste buds, its deliciousness filling every part of her body with wonder as the food slid past her throat.
Jade's grip on her spoon tightened and she dug into the food like a starved caveman.
Noticing this, Luna smiled before asking. "The food is tasty, right? Big Brother's cooking is really delicious. It might even be better than yours– hmm," Aurora instantly covered Luna's mouth, but it was too late, and everyone in the room clearly heard what Luna said.
Hearing that, the spoon Jade was holding fell and clattered on the dinner table. She then lifted her gaze to Luna, but she suddenly felt a presence nearby.
She turned her head to the right and found Zach eavesdropping on their conversation. Her eyes met his and a feeling of embarrassment washed over her.
Jade clenched her fist before releasing a sigh to calm her nerves.
Then, she covered her food before excusing herself from the dining room, grabbed the groceries and walked straight to the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Aurora's hands were still on Luna's lips and she let out a sigh of relief as she silently thanked the goddess she served for allowing Jade to leave the dining room without saying a word.
This was because everyone knew Jade was short-tempered, and if she were to lose her temper, then the dining room would become a mess.
