If I can dream

Elvis (Voicemail)

“Hey man, I know these messages keep getting more and more wild. I don't even know where Alejandro and I are now. I've been kinda out of it since I hit my head. I think I might have a concussion. It's hard just getting my own head straight. Al doesn't seem too happy with me now either. Maybe something to do with my fumbling around so much. Well hey, I got skills I can use too. I'll show him. The next time we get in trouble, I'm gonna bail us out. I don't need a lady cop to...Oh yeah! That lady cop, Roselline. Why'd she help us? I mean I'm awful thankful, I just wish I knew. She just stood in the door like a statue, maybe she can't help falling in love with me? Hope the other guy is okay though. It really did look like he got hit hard. I keep trying to set my head down for a second or two and Alejandro won't let me. Like what's the big deal. I'm fine, maybe a little sore actually. Man tell you what too, I could really go for a Peanut Butter sandwich about now. I hope your mission is a lot less eventful than my adventures. I hope I can call again soon.”

(A report from the desk of Lieutenant Inspector Fransisco Cruz)

Translated from Spanish

Chief Inspector, It's been two days and the doctor still says my head needs rest. He thinks I'm weak, old, maybe unfit for such active work. I'm going mad just sitting in this hospital bed watching the same few television channels, seeing the same faces. I---There is a news story about some kind of phenomenon in the United States. A giant dome covering a city, Possible UFO's spotted in the skies above, ALIEN INVASIONS?! This cannot be mere coincidence. I wonder is this Elvis even the man he seems to be?! And what of his mercenary friend? Could he be sent from space to protect him? OH! All this is making my brain hurt. No, none of this can be true. This is all some illusion, a hallucination brought on from my attack. I refuse to believe this madness. AM I THE ONLY SANE MAN LEFT ALIVE! ~ (Illegible scribbles and the pen flings off the page)

An addendum by Dr. Jean-Pierre:

Hello Chief Inspector Ramos, This is Doctor Claude Jean-Pierre. I am the chief physician at this hospital. I am sorry to inform you Lieutenant Cruz has had an episode today and will need a longer stay with us. We have given him a light sedative to help calm him down and ease his thrashing. He is doing quite well and we are hopeful he'll make a full recovery very very soon.
